Anyone had any luck with the option to turn off wifi when sleeping?
I tried checking it, but it has a problem reconnecting when I wake the device. I have to manually toggle the wifi to get it to reconnect.
I'm trying to extend my touchpads standby time. I already turned off most syncing.

I've been having the same issue lately.
You could try an app called Automatelt it is very easy to use and there is a trigger for screen off/on and an action Wi-Fi off/on . I use mine to alert me and turn off my TOUCHPAD when the battery gets to various levels.
I hope this helps .
If you are using android, try updating your current build to the latest. Wiping Dalvik cache may work too.
Just did a clean install of 9/16, did the same on 9/3.

I upgraded nightly 197 image on my 16gb card and to 199 or so, and wifi is deaf as a post. It's currently out while I go back to my 4gb card which works.
trying to get back to the nightly 197 that was perfect. Everything I downloaded from market just worked and was recognized. Guess I'll find out how good titanium does.
Can you see any accses points at all?

I updated to the nightly 200 then 201 (I think- it says, "CyanogenMod-7-09262011-NIGHTLY-encore," and my WIFI worked fine until the next day. I don't know what to do to get back to a previous version. I'm using ROM Manager, but I'm still really new to rooting. Maybe I should reboot into recovery and go from there?

On another forum, someone suggested dropping all the wifi points. I just got a new 16GB CL4 card, so I just put Nightly 206 (09292011) on it and wifi is working again. Though I'd really like to know where my home button on the bottom button bar went.....

I actually figured out how to restore a backup to the version from 09202011, and my WIFI is immediately working again. Now I'm going to download 206, since you are having no problems with it, so thanks!
Also, if you go to CM settings and have Tablet Tweaks as an option, there is a choice to "Choose soft-buttons," and there is a choice for a home button. Hope that helps!
I'm having an issue where my WiFi is turned off when I come back from a reboot. It is really annoying having to go back into settings each start-up to re-enable WiFi. I just want it to stay on all the time!
Anyone have issues like this? I am running nightly 207
So are we in consensus that wifi issue n market fix is applied in 206?

Airplane mode bug. Download android assistant and turn off airplane mode through the app.

207 worked or me and fixed both issues good to go now but yes airplane toggle is where the issue lies
I was having this issue in the last few nightlies. I deleted all my saved networks, and literally as I was doing it the networks around me started showing. It's worked perfectly since then.

So is this an Android bug...or a NookColor Android bug? I just had a chance to reboot, and I can confirm it works.

It is an Android bug. It has something to do with missing radios or something. It also happens on the Touchpad. There was a long discussion on it in the CM thread awhile back.

Hey everyone,
I flashed ICS a few days ago and then a day or two later flashed rocket rom. I am not really sure if this problem happened before rocket or not.
My phone randomly "shuts off". Maybe it doesn't wake up, I don't know how to tell the difference. I have to either pull out the battery or do a hard reset sometimes.
Any suggestions as to what I should do? Go back to gingerbread? Or reinstall rocket? flash a different ROM (midnote, etc)?
Thanks everyone!

There is an app called Wake Lock or Keep Awake or something that won't let your phone get into deep sleep so it doesn't happen.
Had the same problem, I remembered from the HTC HD2 forums something about avoiding it by turning off auto-brightness.
After having 4 sleep of deaths in 3 hours, I had it once in 24 hours. Dunno if that's what affected it, but much better. Try it.
Kernel related. Flash a different one. Wipe cache and dalvik after kernel flash.
Some kernels are plagued by this problem because of kernel base used. Minor hardware changes in newer batches do not like the old kernel base.
Hi,
On any ICS ROM I install, my phone doesn't stick to the wireless sleep policy. It turns off, even though I set it to never and the coverage is fine. I thought it was ROM or kernel related, but it does this on all ICS roms and kernels I've tried. On 2.3.7 it works fine.
I've had this problem for ages and it's driving me mad, but I've tried everything I could think of and nothing worked. It made me think it might be a hardware issue but that doesn't make sense for a sleep policy and it definitely still works on Gingerbread, so I'm completely lost.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just go on Google Play and search for the Wifi Fixer app. :good:
Sent from my LG-P990 using xda premium
I'm assuming you mean this app? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.wahtod.wififixer
I'll try that, but I'd rather fix it without installing additional services, because that should be possible.. It's really just fixing the symptoms, not the cause.

I've tried and the app works, so thanks for that. The service cause quite a significant battery drain though, because it switches wifi off and on regularly, so a real fix would be nice, if anyone has an idea.

The system time in my galaxy ace s5830 is not working properly. This happens everytime I reboot my phone. Eg. when I switch off my phone at 11pm, after reboot the time goes backward to say 4pm. This happened to me at least 5 times, I even demonstrated in front of my friends so that I'm sure I'm not crazy. I had everything off, wifi off 3g off gps off automatic time off, literally everything except my screen is off.
Any suggestion on how to fix this problem? Running S'perience Rom BE kernel with sd int-ext+ on class 4 sd card.

Keep automatic time on. Select proper time zone or else install alternate date & time app from play store. OR reflash the rom!
Hit thnx if helpd

Thanks for some of the useful methods. Alternate apps do not have anything to do with the system time. I tried reflashing the rom but still the same issue. I set the time zone to be in my region already, but did not do the automatic time zone adjustment because I do not have internet connection nor using wifi.

I think it is a common bug in CM10.x roms, so you can set it manually, I faced this problem too in severals CM10.x roms
It is a problem in CM10 roms. Use network time, turn off network time zone and set it manually.

Do you have the same issue other roms? If you don't, it's an issue with your current rom.
