Building ROM

Hi,
Me and a couple of friends want to start build a ROM,
but we don't know from where to start, can someone please help me.
Some of us know to design, some of us have some knowledge in some programming languages.
But we don't know from where to start.
Please help me!

first try and develop couple of apps
..then move on building roms from source codes...

Okay then you can start with downloading the source code make some tweaks and changes ..compile the rom...find and remove bugs ..
You want to build a rom on what base?AOKP/CM9/AOSP/Port from Galaxy Nexus?

I've been trying to find a group ringtone option in the CyanogenMod version 9.0.0 RC0 galaxysmtd KANG rom.but I didn't find it anywhere...any ideas???

Its possible that this post is in the wrong thread maybe a search for CyanogenMod version 9.0.0 RC0 galaxysmtd KANG rom thread , could give you better response

I guess most of the experts have moved on to S3 forum , sorry I can't assist you as my phone is a different version

I guess so....this S1 is used by my brother, I have an S2 and will get an S3 in a few days...he'll probably take my S2..lol

That's a nice touch!
I DID check that there were no post regarding the official release of the official ICS source code from LGE before opening this thread. Otherwise I would not have made this one and be a laughing stock.
But at least I could safely say they your nice comment is not directing to me.

I am not directing it towards anyone in particular.By the way I read the news much before your post(1) here in ICS sources all out thread and( 2)in a thread opened in dev section announcing release.

Dont spam the forum with the same question. You asked it once. Thats enough. And your answer is No. We dont have any idea about whats going on in there. If they will come up with something. It will be updated in the cyanogenmod thread or a thread related to gpu drivers in the general section itself.

As You Know Who I'm If Not I'm SaiiFu Who Developed SENSEOS. But Now I'm Looking For XperiaOS For Z00LD I Know there is already XOSP is there but there is no maintainer for that ROM. And I Discussed With @TheHercules to Grant Me Rights to Continue XOSP Project And Thanks to him. Granted me Rights to Continuethe XOSP Project. But He Also Said To Take The Full Permission Fro @MSF Jarvis . I Asked Him For Rights But He Didn't Saw My Message.
Why I'm Explaining the Story..?? Confused.?
I Just Want Some Suggestion That Should I Create a XperiaOS For Z00LD as i Created SENSEOS .?

You didn't bother with crediting SlimRoms on the SenseUI thread and actually defended your right to not do so citing open source and what not. Just don't do that skullduggery this time round

Look dude, there's a huge difference when talking about Maintainers and Members/Developers of a ROM team.
Idk what the maintainer told you but the ROM is not discontinued or dead. Inform yourself before making silly posts like these ones...
