[Q] Paranoid Android Settings - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello Android Fans,
Today i have installed RomControl.apk (picked from Baked Bean) on Paranoid Android.
It is not showing up in the settings menu, and not even in the app drawer.
How to integrate (merge) it into Paranoid android settings?
Please Help me
P.S: (My goal is to have all AOKP settings in Paranoid Android like in Baked Bean )
Minti

Is it possible?

Yes, if anyone knows a fix, is it applicable for the VIBRANT as well?? I was on BlackBean up until yesterday when I installed Paranoid Android, and I, too, miss the AOKP ROM control.

I managed to open romcontrol.apk, but it force closes... so it seems like if you need it, you have to re-code it :3

I would even broaden the question - is there a touchwiz for any of the new Android custom ROMs?

Aways just released C-Rom Bean Mix on 4.2.1. As far as I know its the only Touchwiz themed 4.2.1 (or just 4.2) rom for the I9000.
According to him on the normal C-Rom thread the 4.2.1 version for the normal C-Rom wi come out tomorrow... Nice arrival in time for Christmas

Good question!
The original android dev is about android as it was intended by google. (Aosp).
The other one is mainly for samsung based roms (with touchwiz and all that nonsense ;#)

Thank you so much for your answer. I have a little question. Does it mean that roms in original developement doesnt have multiview and other cool samsung features? And last, which rom you prefer? I m planning to flash the Ultimate rom

Thats right, multiview is a feature developed by samsung and is part of touchwiz, both those things arent available in AOSP (Android Open Source Project) roms.
If you prefer a samsung/touchwiz based rom then I reckon Ultimate is alright.
I myself however have am more comfortable with an AOSP rom, currently and for the last year or so ive been using Paranoid Android, which can be found in the Original Android Development section of the forum.
It has alot of nice features such as the Pie menu, DPI Mods (which is awesome on the big screen of the G-Note).
None of the touchwiz features are available on that rom, I prefer it that way.
I suggest you make a backup and just try both : )
Have fun, and good luck!
