Ok so i am strugling to find a definitive answer on my problem so ive registered to these forums as i know i will get the best of help from here.
Ok my problem is that i have an Unofficial Playstation 3 Controller And i would like to use this with my galaxy note, i have installed Sixaxis (yes i know it reccomends an official controller) and when i try to connect my controller to it nothing happens until the ligs stop flashing on my controller then sixaxis says client disconnected. i was wondering if their was any possible way of connecting my unofficial controller to my phone and was also wondering what possible difference there can be between unofficial and official controllers in terms of connectivity that causes unofficial ones to not work.
many thanks in advance

I am currently running SlimBean 4.2.2, build JDQ39E.
Been trying unsuccessfully to sync my PS3's wireless controller to my phone, and none of the apps I have tried have worked.
Does anyone know one that does, or if there is another ROM that supports PS3 controllers, specifically?
Thanks for any assistance.

Its not the ROM I believe the phones hardware is not supportive.
I thought that MIGHT be the case, too, but I figured if anyone knew a workaround, it would be this community. I can get it to recognize my PS3 controller, but it refuses to sync.
I'd think that as long as it accepted any old Bluetooth connection, that I should be able to sync almost any Bluetooth device. Meh.

It might connect but were not running the latest drivers like the most high end devices
I'm looking for a Note 3 ROM that has /dev/uinput support so I can run apps like USB/BT Joystick Center. I want to be able to use my Xbox One Controller to play games and fly drones and use the Xbox controller instead of the touch screen. There seems to be issues with stock Samsung kernals.
- Samsung: "Can't access dev/uinput". This is a known Samsung KNOX Kernal issue. You have to use a custom rom with clean kernal. Or try this fix: hxxp://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53343683&postcount=105
I've done the troubleshooting suggested in the LINK, now I'm on Option 3: Find a rom with a different kernal.

Samsung has done something that has broken the /dev/uinput that is expected with other android manufacturer builds. I've tried AllianceROM, etc but since they are built off of the stock Note 3 firmware, they would have to fix this issue specifically like other roms have done in order to make this work. According to the above group post, non-at&t roms like 'Clean Rom' & FlexCat work, but unfortunately they do not have N900A revisions =/
Does anyone know of a ROM that does at least have a good possibility of working? I don't mind flashing a few, I just dont' want to blindly flash everything =/ Any help would be much appreciated.
If it helps I can use a ps4 controller no problem and a 360 controller as well. Have you tried pairing it like a normal Bluetooth device?

No. I wanted to stick with the Xbox One controller because I have those on hand so it wouldn't be an extra expense. Did the 360 controller connection need to be wired, or does it work wirelessly with no extra hardware?

360 was wired but ps4 was over Bluetooth.
So I'm guessing there isn't a solution other than changing my controller?
So I use the Sixaxis controller app and it gives me a segmentation fault every single time i try to run it. I am rooted. Also the ps4 controller errors out over regular Bluetooth or is mapped incorrectly.. Pressing a button once can cause ot to be pressed multiple times or not at all. Are there any fixes or Roms I can flash to add support? This really breaks things for my enjoyment of this phone. Someone please direct me to what I need to do, I really want to play my games like I did on my s5 but currently the controllers won't connect properly due to the stock ROMs missing support.. Any help is deeply appreciated.
I found this upsetting too. I have the sixaxis app and get the "segmentation fault" error too. It's a Shame, because i invested in the DS4 controller mount and love to use the limelight app. I hope there's a fix soon. I don't want to invest in another controller.
Hi, I was trying to use a DualShock 4 to play emulators on my OP3T, I tried to pair the DS4 by bluetooth, the device pairs, but doesn't input any commands. Tried to use by USB OTG too, but the same happens. Didn't try with the Sixaxis Controller app, I didn't rooted my OP3T yet and i don't want it.
On YouTube I found many people using their DS4 controllers to play Android games and emulators just by pairing the controller with their smartphones, but it simple doesn't work on OP3T. I found on the OnePlus official forum people reporting the same problem.
Does anyone know how to use the DS4 without rooting the device?
Hiya, managed to pick up a Tab S 8.4 recently, was hoping to use it with a controller for steam link and/or moonlight game streaming. Tried to connect both an Xbox One controller and an ipega 9023 controller via Bluetooth but could not get either to work. They pair and connect to the tablet and show up as a connected controller under Bluetooth settings but they don’t do anything.
Anyone any idea if there is something in Android 6 or Samsung’s software that stops these working? If I upgrade via rooting and a custom rom am I likely to have any more success?
