Hi everyone,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab GT- P1000N; and it is now bricked or better to say it's gone into 'black screen of death'........ PLEASE HELP.
Here is what I did:
1. Due to some error, while rebooting, the screen would come up but it wouldn't slide open.
2. I pressed the power key and volume up and tried resetting to factory default. ( Did not proceed and hanged at the processing screen).
3. I tried flashing it with Odin by watching this video on YouTube titled:
[How-To] Flash Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread on Samsung Galaxy Tab

(I'm not allowed to share the link as this is my first post).
I did the first step i.e adding PIT and PDA and hitting start. The process was completed but when It rebooted it went into black screen of death. Now every time I turn it on, it boots up but the screen is dead black but the home keys are on.
I know that it boots up every time I turn it on cause Odin recognizes it but I can't see anything neither can I do anything!
I've been reading different blogs and watching different videos, non is helpful.
Please help, I'm totally confused.
Thanks to all, I truly appreciate it.
You probably flashed a P1000 instead of P1000N/L rom.
Go to sammobiles.com and search there for either model rim and flash it with Odin.

thanks for the file. but it doesn't provide 'phone' and 'CSC' files and without those it doesn't proceed!
any ideas?!
BTW, here is the code it returns to me on Odin 1.7
Code:
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> P1000LVIJR2_P1000LVIJR2_P1000LZVVJR3_HOME.tar.md5 is valid.
<OSM> Checking MD5 finished Sucessfully..
<OSM> Leave CS..
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 0)
Hmm. Never seen this.
But the lack of files should not really be of concern.
I just wonder why no flashing occur.
Did you try the panama one?

Be sure you are using P1000N firmware, coz it looks like you are using the L one in there.

I got to flash it but unfortunately I face the same problem when I used the P1000N firmware.
Now I flashed with P1000N again (firmware from sammobile.com) It boots up perfectly but the touch works for sometime and then doesn't. The power key, volume keys work properly and the home buttons are on.
I have to wait for sometime and slide open it to use it again.
Any ideas?!

All you did was root your phone. You didn't flash a ROM or anything? If you have already read how to flash to stock I would suggest doing that. Make sure you read and search the forum because there is so much information that can help you get out of a bind.

So rather than help the guy in the Q & A section, you tell him in both of his threads not to double post? Great help there bud, but when it is you that need help you get mad when others call you out for not paying attention. Start helping others, and I don't care what your thank meter is at, that is not an indication of you truly helping people.

Regardless. If Heimdall got stuck try using from another usb hub. If on desktop one from the back of the tower. If that doesn't work might want to try another cable (also rebooting your machine isnt a bad idea.) Are you on a Mac or a linux machine?
Sounds like a good idea. I've read that plugging your usb cable into a usb port directly attached to the motherboard works best.

This simply means the csc file hasn't flashed correctly. Extract the tar and flash the cache. IMG in csc. Not a bug, common flashing error.

Hey,
I have a
Samsung Exhibit 4G SGH-T759
Looks like this http://www.boeboer.com/wp-content/u...MobileSGHT759ManualUserGuideSpecsOverview.jpg
I Think flashing custom rom failed, i do not really remember which isnt that important i guess.
Whenever I turn it on It says on the screen
Firmware upgrade fail !
Try using recovery mode
---------
The problem is i can not go to recovery or the download mode.
Home Lock vol +
or
the Home lock vol -
Does not do anything.
Odin recognizes the device but i can not flash anything to it....
Is there anyway to force this device to go into recovery or download mode?
Tmobile asks 70$ for the repair... I dont want to pay it because i have a note 2
but i dont want this device to be useless either..
Any help?

How can I recover the baseband ?

Proceed with this thread, and dig all the links up and even dig the sub links. Maybe it will help.
Btw one guy is presistant that you need a new mobo, but I doubt.

Thanks I will take a look.
Sure it can be done by software, because there is a samsung service tool, which cost a lot of money, and that can fix this only from software.
May I ask if you had any luck? I like the "solved" threads, they help me the most when I end up in a dark corner

It didn't work, so I sent the phone to a specialised service, they told me that there is a 50% change they can fix it and if not then I can throw the phone, and if they can fix it then it will cost $40-45

Have you tried it downgrading to GB? I suppose that's where your phone was working, right? Do you still have the warranty, if yes, flash everything back to stock and than try to send it to Samsung, but it can be that you phone regains the IMEI and other info back, have read this from similar threads from multiple devices with the same problem.
downgrading to GB did not help, I don't think the warranty will cover this...the custom flash counter is 16

maybe the phone was locked on some network and that's the cause for all the trouble. Try with triangle away to reset the counter, install GB as it was in the beginning, go to service and keep your fingers crossed. You have nothing to lose.

My phone was neverlocked, and it's multi-region, the original firmware had the same code as the Hong Kong phones, and I am located in Europe.
When I flashed this Russian JB rom, I got a warning message on the phone: WARNING: Custom Modem ! ...very strange !
That custom modem is responsable for the whole issue. Unfortunately my knowledge is limited and I'm unable to help you.
Still, my advice is the same: flash GB, reset that counter and go to samsung service. Probably they will discover that you flashed another FW, but at least you'll know if and how it can be repaired.
