Hi,
I'm using the Musketeer Total Senseless ROM and i really like it.
But when I'm changing the volume, there's still the stock HTC Sense "indicator". How can I change this to the AOSP theme? Is it possible?
Thank you

Yes, it is possible, this can be changed from either system/framework/framework-res.apk or system/app/SystemUI.apk.
(you can open them with any archive manager to explore)
You can do the themeing by comparing a file that already has the thing you need with the one that is already present in your rom, takes some time to get used to this, but it is possible and can be done.
Hope this helps, and search for themeing tutorials over XDA
Thank you
It doesn't sound easy but I'm trying it
theme
Is someone managed to theme volume controls to aosp, i really liked if someone has

Not sure what you are asking...there are tons and tons of themes in the market that you can try...what you linked to was a ROM just from looking at the topic title...can you elaborate on what you are asking?
Im looking for a zip update that changes the whole phone theme like the link that I posted. I don't like using home replacements. I hope this makes sense?

1. Are you rooted?
2. What ROM are you on currently?
3. Are you looking at staying on the current ROM but updating your theme?
If you don't mind me asking, why don't you like using home replacements?

3. Yes
Well I'm just use to using sense and I love it but hate to stock colors on it.
Thanks for helping me out. I thought I wasnt going to get answered.

It sucks because you could use ninjamorph or metamorph if you weren't on the aria...have you tried circle bat mod? You can't change everything but you can change quite a few things...

hi guys, hope someone can shed some light on what am about to ask.
i have just cooked up a rom on Doc's & Stefunel's ROM Kitchen,XWJS7_Wipe-v9_8_1, with most of all aps,all is working fine, plus installed 1 of Generation X Themes CY with boot, all good.
my question is,is there a way to put the 5 lock screens which i did have with darkys 9.3 final ?
if so how would some one like myself go about doing this, would it be a simple apk install for lock screens.
really sorry if this has been asked before, but could not find anything about it.plus i couldnt post in the dev part as not got over 10 posts
i dont like to spam and prefer to do some reading, which really does help.really starting to understand the android, first 1 loads of fun so far.plus a few tense moments aswell
thankyou for all the time you guys make the phone as cool as can be.
I'm pretty sure that's theme related. I guess if you changed your theme to the one from darky's rom you would get your 5 lockscreens back.
As to how: I have no Idea, there's probably a description in the design and themes section.
good luck
Download the Stockmod plus theme, it's basically just the lock screens and tyhe extended power menu, it works fine with docs rom, I'm running it myself.
edit. I just re-read your post and you already have a theme, this one woudl replace that.
I use it and just apply my own settings with launcherpro to make my dersktop look nice.
yeah theme is installed and i have 4 unlock screens, but would like to get that 5th 1,rotary i believe.
Small update to what i have tried to do.
1 found the keyguard_screen_rotary_unlock.xml and keyguard_screen_rotary_unlock_land.xml in other themes.
2 copied them over to the Generation_X_v2.0CY_JPUXY_JS3_NOBOOT.zip
3 flashed in cwm but didnt work
never mind
You need to flash a theme which has it built in. I know black android does and it works great with a cooked rom.
Looks awesome too.
since I'm a bit of a themer and I did my custom theme by myself,
I'll tell you how (and where) to learn:

Tangerine and spectrum both do!

Could anybody port the Sense 3.0 lockscreen? or maybe make a zip that will work on CM 7 of the one for MIUI? Not sure if its possible but thanks in advance.
These are the two zips. Either one would be awesome.
Wrong section, should be in Q&A or Themes........
Needs to be ported so I put it in Dev.
Can anyone verify that this works?

Still not a development issue, I have requested this be moved.
The two zips are for MIUI. Yes they work. Just wondering if someone can do a full port or make those files good for CM 7 flashable. Im willing to do all testing.
For MIUI, there is a Sense 3 lockscreen. It works almost exactly like the real thing. What I really want would be the honeycomb lockscreen...

There is a honeycomb lockscreen in the MIUI lockscreen theme thread. It's not exactly the same but it's close enough IMO.
P.S. Here's the link to the post for the theme if you feel like trying it Honeycomb Lockscreen for MIUI
Is it possible to make your own HTC skins/themes and if yes how exactly?
Thanks in advance.

I haven't tried editing sense themes since.. FOREVER ago, since things like the htc hero / sapphire / dream "were in"
What I did back then was open up the rom file you download, and in it you'll see a bunch of stuff and go into system\app\ and modify to your liking!
I just took a quick look at a sense rom and it appears that "rosie.apk" is still there. IF things haven't changed as much.. that Should be your main launcher.
So what youcould do is open that via winrar and extract images and stuff out.. then edit it!
Other things like the status bar, should be in framework-res.apk (which should be in framework instead of /apps/)
I've only modded my themes using roms from aosp or vanilla so I don't nkow sense too well.. However this should give you a basic understanding! and the more you wanna edit, the more .apk files you wanna open! good luck
On a similar note, I am trying to modify android with customised sounds (lock/unlock/key press etc) and having some issues.
I have directly tried to place the .ogg files into the following path within android itself using droid explorer but that didnt seem to work.
The path i have been placing it is within the following:
...\system\media\audio\ui
Has anyone managed to successfully do this either with a working rom or pre flashing, in which case could give me some pointers on how to do this?
Thanks
am using go desktop...
Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere.
I'm on stock 4.4 Google Play Edition but I prefer the emoji emoticons on Sense 5.5, does anyone know if it is possible without flashing an entire custom ROM?

google keyboard ?
Maybe something like taking the sense 5.5 emoticon file(s) and flashing them to root?
Try taking the androidemoji-htc.ttf from a Sense 5.5 ROM and changing the name to AndroidEmoji.ttf and pushing it to system/fonts
Probably won't display properly, but that's about the only way I would think it can work. I'd try it myself but too busy to be flashing ROMs
Cheers will try it tonight. Now to find a small sense 5.5 rom to download...

Did this end up working out for you? I thought to use this same method but my emoji LOOKED like the sense 5.5 emojis, however, they were black and white. They weren't the colored versions... I've been trying to figure out how HTC got the color in there!

I can't seem to be able to gather the necessary components to install everything. Missing links or old files and such. Perhaps someone else here could have some luck?
