I have around 500 contacts now.. It was 1400 earlier.. with synced contacts from facebook and gmail.. I deleted all of them and kept with only one which has contact no in it.. But i have a feeling that it didn't clear the space even after deleting it.. i do not remember the exact space earlier but i feel it was around same 14-15 mb.. is it because of the media(photo) attached to the contact?
My guess was right.. I exported all d contacts to vcf file and then deleted all the data from contact storage... then imported back d contatcs.. now the data space is 4mb hoila!!

I can't seem to figure out how to give a custom ringtone to certain contacts on JH7...can someone enlighten me and let me know how to do it?
Are the contacts on your sim or phone?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
If they're saved to the phones memory you can do it. Other wise if You only have them saved on your Google account you can't do contact ringtones I figured this out just recently

That sounds stupid...so then is there a way to transfer it all quickly instead of doing it one at a time?
SIM manger has always worked on all my phones. Contacts/menu/more/SIM management.

I think you need stock Rom to save contacts to SIM or there might be an app for it. Not sure.

There is option to import contacts to sim
^ Import means bringing in from outside. I dont think you can do vice versa in Non-stock based custom roms. Again- Not sure.
Just login to google account from pc, go to contacts, and delete them. And disable syncing. After that clear contacts data, and restore contacts from sd card
Yes. www.google.com/contacts/
I also had that problem. Log into your Google account via PC (as yackovsky already said) and just merge duplicates.
I also had the same problem i had around 6-7 same contacts then i use go sms pro and batcg deleted all .It took me almost one hour to do as i was having around 4000 contacts

heres the link for more details about u getting that 50gb storage

Just registered on site and only 2gb of storage!!! Installing app on my lg smartphone i have 50gb of storage. AWESOME
You have limit of one file transfer to 100 MB.
Wysłane z mojego LG-P970
that's great totally will try it
Yep there is limit, but there is also split archiving. Considering it is no expiration like dropbox it is actually a very nice bonus.
Upload speed from titanium backup is also faster than dropbox.
box is really useless I really suggest drop box
the 100mb limitation killed it for me, still 50gb is awsome
Odp: BOX- free 50 GB storage
Yea i hear about Lg gives free 50gb in box for lg smartphone users.
I have 50 Gb in Box account for long time, but Dropbox has automatic upload for pictures and that`s why I`m used to use Dropbox.

My girlfriends ace is forever coming up with some error about internal memory despite the fact that the few apps she has are installed on her sd card. Will putting a custom rom on there and getting rid of the crap like google maps, gmail, shazam... Etc help or not really make much difference. Ive read afew forums and memory seems to be abit of an issue. Unfortunately im new to this rooting and romming lark so j dont really understand alot of the fixes that are mentioned
Clear some app data as a short term fix. Facebook data can be huge.
Long term you're gonna have to root, partition your sd card and link apps to sd. This saves a lot of space because a lot more than the apk can be moved.

Cheers mate, but the problem is, I do this and two copies of the same person stay in there. I'm assuming it's traces of the contact left over from somewhere. Even if I delete the contact they stay there?
Errr you might have to figure out where your contacts are from.
Go to contacts > menu > filter.
Under phones contact and gmail contacts and etc, go through each one and check one at a time and figure out if you have duplicates.
For me I have all my contacts under gmail. So if anything happens I can sync it back all at once. You need to get into a habit putting all your contacts under one account so you won't be confused.
