Think before you flash. I was on 1.8.0 and everything was fine. The 1.9.0 ETA and Final are on new partation layout and some application doesnt work on them. My favourite app google now doesnt work in that rom. It always force closes.
Wait for another update.
For me Its SlimBean..
You can try it yourself and check the battery performance..
I always turn off my internet data when not needed, it surely increases the battery life of phone..
slimbean
Try X-Bean, I am satisfied. Anyway, use 2G network only.

I found that Tsunami 2.1 has great battery life as well as REMJB but it all depends on your user style. If you can get by with 2G it will help save battery life

just because you had problems doesn't mean it suck.
In fact, if Nik's ICS roms have problems is because he doesn't have a stable source as Virtuous Team had.
Both devs are good and work a lot for us.I wouldn't call this rom "great stuff", it's just a test key with some (very little) modifications. The performance is not on pair with Niks Rom, not nearly, but being based on a test-key it is more stable...

No offence
But at least keep things like that to yourself mate, if you don't like the hard work nik is doing for us, then don't use him roms. Please do not post discouraging things, this is one of the reasons why some of the devs leave xda for rootzwiki
Developers are doing this for free, respect their work, even if you don't like it
It works for the rest of us
Sorry for being so blunt about it, but if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything
Peace

The myth v2 not fast but very stable and relieable well worth a look
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
Thats all depends on choices ! but Cm7.2 is stable and cm9 will soon be stable
If your looking for really good performance you should try the Adrenaline ROM
well. ROM's "speciality" is based on someone's choice. But, I would like to recommend SGSII JB ROM. It's fast, very stable, and of course, stock-based ROM> Everyone knows stock is good. I can't say that stock is the best because other people think otherwise. But, you can give it a try.
I think you should try the new Stocklite v8 it´s amazing fast, highly customizable and has a very good batterylife.
Also as the name already suggest it´s very similar in look to stock roms
you try to use JB ROM ( v 10.1). I'm using it.

You can also take an official Rom (stock or CM) and modify it by your own. I'm sure you're gonna be surprised with the result!
FYI: there is a lot of good guides on XDA about optimizing speed, battery, etc.
Make a backup and give a try!
Droid ace v2.1 is the best ive tried so far....
Hi Guys,
What is the lightest/fastest Jelly Bean (preferably 4.2) rom for the Note (GT-N7000)? Or which kernel/rom combination is the lightest? I like speed but without draining the battery from an oc.

get the xxlsc v5.1 jelly bean rom ! its amazing ! the best rom i have ever used !!
Like Waz said, there are no 4.2 roms out yet. Latest available is 4.1.2.
If you are talking tw roms, then the fastest I have seen is Alliance.
If you are talking newer CM10 style roms, then yes, Asylum is the fastest.
But if you just wanted the fastest rom period, then I would say BlackCNA remains the speed king. It is however 4.1.1, and does come with an OC kernel, but even still, I thought the battery life with it was a good as any non oc rom I've tried ...
+1 for BlackCNA.. blazing black
Ultimate Jellybean ROM v5.1
I've been running ultimate jellybean rom v5.1 for a week now , this rom is the fastest and the most smoothest with all note2 features like ink effect, multiwindow, airview, page buddy, smart rotation etc ..
