Hi guys, I've realized that the newly updated version - GingerDX v029 has a tiny problem of being incompatible with an application - Instagram. Can any kind soul provide a solution to this? Thanks a million!

The problem is as follows:
I went into Playstore to install Instagram, however when I'm on the Instagram official page; it states that "This device is not compatible with Instagram", as such I am unable to install Instagram on my GingerDX v29, are there any other ways to go about installing Instagram?

Use root explorer.build.prop is in root of phone

There are a lot of files under Root Explorer, do you know under which folder specifically? I used the search function to locate for 'Ro.prop.device', however the search results is blank :\

Open root explorer and scroll down to build.prop

I found /system/build.prop & /system/bin/build.prop, however both do not contain ro.prop.device, they only have ro.product.device=shakira :\

Put them in system/app folder using ''root explorer'' app (remember that u have to select the write option if u want to add an app to system)
than and reboot
The MIUI SMS app would be good. The stock SMS app in CM7 doesn't look good and GO SMS Pro makes the screen seem congested.

Since you copied ONLY the Swype.apk and libraries, and that Swype is made for stock ROM. That's mean you have to copy TouchWiz related library, permission, and configuration.

In /system/etc/permission
Search anything which have name related to : touchwiz, samsung, sec
also
/system/framework
Search ANY .jar and .apk files named : touchwiz, sec, samsung, device
Maybe that's all, will check in my PC when back home.

IDK, TouchWiz are connected to SEC (Samsung Electronic), when trying to port TouchWiz 3.0 Camera i copy all and it worked.

Yep, so i tried it on CM7.2
Simply copying TW Properties isn't gonna make it work. Some build.prop line must be the problem.
Hi, I was Nemesis port for our staff, but because of lack of time and opportunities have no way to continue supporting it. So I am looking for someone who can bring it to an end.
Installation Instructions:
1.Download Nemesis_2.4.zip and place it in the root of sdcaed
2.Reboot into recovery,apply update from sdcard and choose ClockWorkModRec.zip
3.In Cwr wipe data,cache advanced ->wipe dalvik cache and battery stats
4.Mount system/data in mounts and storage of Cwm
5.Then install zip from sdcard and reboot system
6.Wait till it boots and media scanning is done and enjoy

PS it is in Russian, but the download, I think, is not difficult.
Completed at 98.6%

Using this rom and must say the nemesis team has done a remarkble job. Thanks fr sharing d ported rom. So far it is working flawlessly. Did you try stryke? He was porting wrk by avijit fr s5830i.

Gut need help, when i flashed the rom i waited till the scaning then when i pressed the maneu button on screen then their were only two application, i could not find phonebook, dialler and other applications. I tried the reboot but it didnt work. Please help

Thats odd. I restarted the launcher when i faced the same issue and the icons loaded just fine. Can you go under system/apps or go under root uninstaller and see if system apps are listing? If yes, then you can try installing another launcher and see if that helps. Else as last resort, you can try reflashing, but make sure this time that u wipe all, mount all before flashing. Hope this helps.
So I fixed my Xperia... But I have another problem... Go figure... The NFC on my device won't turn on. I can tick the little box but then it never really loads and allow me to use it or look at settings... I tried to do that whole rename the USF folder but I don't have that. -.-
I'm currently running the Avatar ROM...
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you guys so much in advance... I just can't catch a break...

Nfc menu is available but nothing happens when I activate it
And u did try the nfc fix? U should have somewhere that folder he speaks of. By me it was under root data and then the folder. I would check every folder u see in root explorer and click on it until u spot the folder u either delete or rename that one folder like in the video.

I flashed the latest CM10.1 nighly (20130603-NIGHLY-YUGA), and after that NFC no longer works. I can check the NFC setting, but it never activates. I'm currently not rooted so the suggested video is of no use. Any other ideas on how to resolve this issue?

NFC is still there, it just doesn't turn on...
I wound up switching to a hybrid ROM but thank you, anyway.
