Hi, is there somobody with Optimus 4x and working spell-checker? I mean the one that underline misspelled words?
I simply cannot find the option...

Update: It seems that even LG support did not know the option is not there as they even made me to factory restart a later sent me a message:
Based on the information you have provided me with and reading through your query, I can advise you that unfortuantley we do not have a soloution to this at this present time as it is avalible on other models which we have on ICS. I have personally escolated this to our R&D team to get a soloution to this problem. I would also advise that we will need some more information from yourself so we can do this. We will need some contact details.

Hi, guys, I had try my best doing compile Android 4.1 jellybean for LG Optimus 2x devices. But I found that after I flashed the rom, there was not any logs out in logcat. I shared the devices and vendors in github.com/YoRotary. Anybody interested in these, please work together to try to make the rom worked for these two devices.

hey everyone!! i dont know where to post so i had to here...sorry i just started this stuff so im noob. i downloaded MIUI for my lg optimus 2x. at first it said no service detected. im pretty sure i know how to resolve that now. but i rebooted it and now its saying no sim car all together... i really need help here. i love my phone and need to fix it. can someone please tell me how to remove MIUI all together without restoring it..i tried to restore but it said "restore error". if theres no way to restore it, i need to fix this problem. i would greatly appreciate someones help!!

Long story short, ICS wasn't released yet, only a test version for the SU660.
Don't ask if it can be ported to the P990, because it can't.
Mod, please close the thread.

There's already one...
And that information is already know by everyone in this forum...ICS is available for Korean version (SU660) but not for International version (P990) yet...
Next time, just make a little research to find similar thread before creating new one.

But the picture is a p990 because there is no antenna and there is no hardware button in the middle like the p660 has.

I would really like to see the available .kdz files
in some thread to download, because
I installed the unofficial V20A on my phone
which leads into the situation that I cant
update to official V20A through LG Mobile Support Tool :silly:

but I think it would be way easier if they would be right here
in the original android development section as downloads
(or links)
One last question: If I make a backup through Orange Backup
and then officially unlock the device, am I able to get back all of my
data partition on the official V20A with unlocked bootloader?

Its enough to use the LG Backup that you have installed on the phone.
Off course some apps, like Navigon, RealRacing3 or others like that that you might have, will need to download data again in order to work again but,
most part of the apps will be working. Also contacts, messages, etc... check the options on the "Backup".

I was wondering if some one could help me out by explaining to me why my P990 doesn't supports the EAP-SIM method??
Is it a ROM issue? a Kernel issue? = Driver issue?; or is it really a hardware issue? and i should consider changing my phone...
I have been looking around and it would seem to me that it is just a software, hence it can be added to different phones.
For example, in France this method is given by the rom provider (FREE) for SG3; people have managed to get the needed files and have patched the SG2 to make it work too with EAP-SIM...
So, would it be possible to make it for the P990 knowing that a ROM exist for the LG optimus L9 here
I mean, can we extract the configuration that is used in this kernel-ROM and apply it on another one?

If this is a software issue, you should try to request it at CyanogenMod. There's more chance they would implement it than with LG itself. But you would have to root your phone, and change to the CyanogenMod ROM, which is pretty good.
Someone who knows how to compile ..

we need a recovery to start making compilations for the rom!

Using L90 ...!! Its smooth and fast.. !! Battery backup sometimes is too good and sometimes is ultra bad..!!!
Guess not properly calibrated???
Sometimes battery drains 30-40% over night..!!!
Is there any LG L90 thread ? I cannot find any, if can you link me to it??

The problem is, no developer has taken up this device at the time of writing. Though I don't know if this device will get as popular as the previous L9 among developers, fact is that because of availability problems most of the people who happened to have purchased this device are stuck with Metro PCS version
Nobody on a Metro PCS L90/L70 which is a USA version, has been able to root it, yet. So either this, or it could be that most developers haven't bought it (international version) yet, to begin developing.
Though the good news is that the international version is rooted and you can try after going through this post,

The other thread where some discussion is happening is this,

I know this doesn't answer the question so here is another problem with even the international version. Currently, there is no way to enter recovery. Without recovery pretty, much nothing can be done
