Ever since i've created 2nd partition [ext2] for Link2sd on my 8gb class6 micro-sd, i've noticed significantly slow file transfer when i connect my phone as USB mass storage..
Earlier i used to get 5-7MBps write speed when i copy any file from pc to phone.. And now i'm getting 1-1.2MBps..
What is the issue? I created the partition using CWM..

Try format your card deleting all partion using mini partion tool ... And then recreate primary part. As fat 32 and second as ext4

I've tried reformating the whole sdcard.. And then again partitioned it to ext2(as ext4 might not work in stock Rom).. Still my PC to phone file transfer is slow..
Jus wanted to know, is this slow speed only with my pc.. Will it work at proper speed internally in my phone ??

I recommend using Link2SD instead...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.buak.Link2SD&hl=en
Simply make a second partition on your SD card, ext2, ext3, ext4 or FAT32 format, then install the app, run it, select the correct format, reboot and use the app to save yourself loads of space!
ok thanks
I currently have the stock Samsung software but I want to try CyanogenMod 10.

Use a proper file explorer and look for:
/storage/sdcard0 -> internal SD
And
/storage/sdcard1 -> external SD
I use Total Commander and never encountered any problem.

Hey... When iam installing any app which is sd card app, phone memory is utilised along with sd card memory...it takes the phone memory even if it is moved to sd card...can u pls tell me how to over come this...???
Also pls tell me how to free up device memory...??!
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
You could clear the data and cache of the apps to conserve some space.
Only way to overcome the ace's low internal memory is partitioning your sd card and using some of the known methods to move apps to the partition:
-link2sd for stock rooted roms
-s2e for cyanogenmod based roms
-cronmod scripts for roms with custom kernels that support init.d
Yeah i used link2sd but still d problem exists... It is taking both the device memory nd sd card memory...

Hi,
There are two sets of internal memory in N7000. one is of 2 GB (application are installed here) and 11 GB (user space...) can we swap this.
Actually i want to increase this 2 GB and this increase I want from internal card. I have not seen solution anywhere on internet. Can anybody please help.
I also want to know this.
I have a rooted galaxy note 1.
And is it possible to make internal and user space as internal space.
And external SD as user space.
So it is like that by default.
Any help is appreciated.
