HI Guys,
Is there any chances to know the caller location through any application. So that we can come to know who is pranking with us...........

First of all, what your looking for is something that's not per se, allowed and tolerated by the mainstream masses and especially with your carrier.
Yes there is a an app for that, but you have to be working pretty much on the insides of Langley to obtain that sort of app. And I'm not sure if they would even warrant you to do so. Unless you'd like someone poking a gun at you....
You have a lot of barriers to consider... first is PRIVACY.. something that most and if not all people would appreciate and give to for something at the expense of it.
Second is SECURITY.... this type of app if it falls to the wrong hands.. could be use for some nasty sinister thing... so, that 2 barriers alone can give you a No GO in making or even installing it on your phone.
Third, Respect... If you want someone to know their location, then that someone might want to know yours as well...so the question is.. are you willing also to have your location known to anybody who has that app???
Sorry but keep wishing bud.. not to discourage you but you might be outta luck in getting it.
Let it be i will not attend the unknown no. Instead of getting this kinda trouble after installing the app.......... BE SAFE AND BE HAPPY

I develop a app called Carbon Tweaks, what i need some one to do is put the work in to make my layouts and drawables for my app work on different screen sizes (Aka scaling etc.) It would be a serious help for me due to me not having alot of free time at the moment its and the first step towards me extending support of this app past the note (don't worry, you guys will get the most support, I look after my own )
If you fancy giving it a go just comment or send me a pm and I will send you my layout and drawable files
I will also send you $45 and Carbon Tweaks Premium (V5) for doing it (If it scales properly)
It sounds lazy (Mainly because it is) but i just don't have time.
First Person to do it and send the stuff back to me gets the money and app
Maybe if you offer a royalty based payment everytime your app gets downloaded..... Good luck.

I'm liking the positivity here.
Hopefully I'll get free time this Sunday and have a crack at it, would be my first time for this type of thing. I'll PM you if I get anything accomplished, just don't hold your breath.
edit: Didn't get any free time, but tried so last night. Failed miserably. Need someone more talented to show you, that way information spreads and you could help someone with the same problem in the future, dumbasses like me
Hey gang,
I'll admit, I'm a total noob when it comes to XDA and the whole world of Android modding in general but I have a pretty simple question to ask. Does anyone know of a WORKING Voice Dial.apk or free voice dial app that will work with a bluetooth headset? I live in Ontario Canada and it's law here that we cannot use our phone while driving unless it's with a handsfree (i.e. Bluetooth device.) Normally I wouldn't care but I'm a delivery driver by trade so this feature is EXTREMELY important to me.
I've tried several great roms and my thanks to all the devs on here for all the time and effort spent on them, but, if I don't get a working app soon or a way to port a working .apk I'll have to go back to my old phone as I can;t afford the $500 fine if I get caught. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Regards..
Couldn't you just use Google voice? Unless you don't have data.... the other thing is that I haven't even tried it myself, I thought I might suggest it other than that, I'll have to do some searching

Thanks for the response!! Unfotunately no Google Voice still requires you to handle the phone to start it as well as requires a subscription to actually call phones. It's kind of like skype that way. I just wish samsung hadn't excluded it from the original firmware as I really do like the phone other that that one issue. Problem is that's a REALLY big issue for me. As I said, any help is definitely appreciated.
Grr, I think Samsung finally got the voice dialing on the S2 and S3.... but I digress
Try Voice Speed Dial on the Google Play Store. It costs around $3, but it's something to start with. Reviews look OK, but I haven't tried it (too cheap to pay the moneys lol).

For those who have monster fingers like me, 3 inch display is to small for fast typing...also you have about 2.5 inch free display while you typing...future no1 keyboard , but...its in beta stage , and you need to apply to get beta app...iv got mine, without paying anything , cause they passed a goal of receiveng money to get start first rc of this verse...but after you assign, youll need to wait about month+ to get it

so, if moderators agree, i would like to share this app...waiting for aproval
But how can you share a paid app for free on xda ?
I don't think mods will agree to that (just my thinking and no hard feelings bro).

With all the tech genius on the forum I was wondering if anyone could change the stock Walkman widget a little. Basically it's a bit out of place on my home screen with its dark background as all my widgets have no background.
Could it be changed to clear? Before its mentioned, no I don't want to use a different widget for it. I like the Walkman one.
I'm running Xperia Launcher 2.0.5b found on the forum. I can't find the link to the thread again though. I'm on a C6603, 4.1.2, locked bootloader.
I'm using the launcher as I like the extra little bit of customisation over the stock home. But would go back if needed
I hope someone can help.
Thanks
I am bitterly disappointed with the lack of knowledge. Maybe xda isn't what people make it out to be.

Just because what...? This is a forum, for people to share, request and discuss mods. Seems every other twat round here demands and gets... Thought I'd give it a go.

OP, this is not what XDA is about, please read this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16682226&postcount=2441
Let me quote certain points about what you are minsunderstanding about XDA developers:
XDA is and always will be about the developers.
XDA is not a place to come and make your phone cool.
XDA IS a place to come to learn and share your knowledge. If you are not here for those reasons then you are here for the wrong ones.
I have watched XDA become a place where every dumbass in the world has a smartphone and comes here thinking they have the right to anything. Well guess what? You dont have the right to ****. We share it because we want to and we dont if we dont feel like it. Are the Developers or the Mods required to make you happy? Nope not in the least. Wanna leave. Go ahead. I beg you, please do. The less people that are asking dumb question cause they dont know what they are doing (this is understood when your new, but at least look) or are too lazy to look for it the better.

If no one responds your request, that does not mean they lack the knowledge in doing it. Demanding things will get you nowhere. If no developer wants to do what you request, then move on. Xda is not about doing what people want developers to do.

So people should have to be prompted not to act like an entitled noob that stamps their feet like a child if they don't get what they want?
How about they should just behave in a decent manner to begin with?

Even though I was talking in general about your suggestion that everyone should need to be told how to behave properly (they already are, by the way, in the forum rules, read them), is that a proper way to behave when you're asking for help from people that work for free? Or even the proper way to behave in public? I think not.
As for everyone being a noob to begin with; that does not entitle anyone to behave inappropriately and ***** and moan if they don't get what they demand.
