About framework–res and CM7 theme - Android Themes

Hi guys, I'm new here. So I need help with this. I have a Galaxy Ace GT–S5830M with Gingerbread 2.3.6 and we don't have any roms or big development. So I'm trying to edit the framework–res.apk and the systemUI.apk to get my device looks a little bit closer to ICS and get that awesome Status Bar and interface look. What I'm wondering is if I can rename a CyanogenMod 7 theme for "framework–res.apk" and replace it on my device in a safe way. I understand that CM7 is based on Gingerbread and their themes replace the framework. So is this possible? There are a few themes I really like. Thanks and sorry for the noobness

You didn't answer his question. If your looking for a cm7 theme the one that theme you posted was based off of is the first ics theme that pops up if your search cm7 on the market.

All BML TW themes work on MTD TW ROMs. You have to just mount system in CWM before flashing. Then unmount before rebooting.

What he wants is a "port" of the ics theme that GituSum has made but for cm7 I've done it already but really don't feel like replacing pngs again

OP, search the market next time.
All I did was type cm7 ics and got this -> https://market.android.com/details?id=com.sonny.theme.ics
I use this theme daily on cm7 rc0.
I like ice 9 theme that works w/ theme chooser, is it really necessary to port anything? XD

(REQ) CM10 Touchwiz theme LDPI

Can someone port this theme to LDPI? http://www.nulledapk.com/2012/08/17/cm10-aokp-touchwiz-5-0-theme-v3-1-2/
The only problems: Like in the old Maclaw CM9's statusbar circle, it's not on the middle. At the dialer, numbers are a bit overlapping, but still readable. So I think it's generally a good idea to port CM10 themes to LDPI.]
cm9 by maclaw is ntt ldpi so der is d problem such u facing i advice u to use aokp by thewhisp its proper n for touchwiz theme u just search for touchwiz 5 theme for cm10 / aokp u vil get it k ....
press thanks if i helped
I'm just talking about the thing on the middle of the status bar. I like using this theme with latest nightly, but it can be better when someone resize this theme. Google=HDPI

Hello XDA community
I've asked the developer of Elegant Theme to bring support of this very nice theme for the I9305. But he needs the original systemui.apk and I was wondering if anyone could upload it for me
That's what the developer asked me:
"flash the firmware using odin.root it.install root explorer and copy systemui.apk from system\app to sdcard.upload it"
I hope anyone could help, so we can get a working version of this amazing theme!

Of course, but he asked for the original one from a stock ROM, and I'm running a custom samsung based ROM, I don't know if that makes a difference.

Yeah, thanks I tried replacing systemUI already and it worked, however when I replaced framework-res I soft-bricked my phone
Restore a nandroid. Still quite happy with replacing just systemUI. Changes are minor but not too bad.
Framework-res.apk of different ROMs don't work with each other. At most the systemui.apk could have changed your status bar, that's all. But you can cross use the framework-res.apk of ROMs that use the same base. Example, you can use the framework-res.apk of SGS II v10 by Spacecaker on JB Revolution light ROM to get the touchwiz look. This is possible because, JB revolution light ROM uses SGS II v10 as the base.
