Made this cab to add the Opera icon to your Opera Mini shortcut under programs.
I got sick of looking at the generic Esmertec Jbed icon, and feel this is a more polished solution.
I'm running Open Touch V3 which came with Opera Mini already loaded, so this cab may or not work for your specific rom, but it can be easily uninstalled if it doesnt work for you. YMMV
If it does work on your rom please confirm here, Thanks!
Very Nice. Thank You!
Totally awesome... was thinking about doing the same thing!!!
Now this is definetely an ELEGANT solution! Thanks a lot!!!!!!
You should do the same thing for the GMAIL app
I started looking into the whole icon thing once, but ended up not following thru with it... so awesome you got it working.

Works great on my wing! Im currently running Open Touch 4.0 Lite. Thanks!
Wow, this is just awesome. Thanks alot
Next step... how to associate url files with Opera Mini
the formula...
I tried to register Opera Mini as the default program to open url files. I used the following command line:
"\Storage Card\Program Files\Esmertec Java\jbed.exe" -run s0_ ?\Windows\operal.exe,-0 "%1" which is basically your shortcut with an additional %1 (open file). Of course it didn't work.
Any suggestions?
And again... thanks for the cab. It finally made Opera Mini my default Browser!
thanks - works great on AT&T Tilt!

Check out the screenshot to my software pack (link in my signature). It was created for this exact purpose and much more. Let me know if you have any other questions. Here are some highlights of it's abilities:
copy/paste (really helpful on SmartPhones)
clipboard history
multi-browser & default browser support
hacks/tweaks/troubleshooters
Thanks!

Revisions:
v1.4 *** 2008-07-07
- Created help files.
- Browser: Skyfire fully compatible now, new scan/detection with fail-over paths (if browsers references don't exist in the usual locations like the registry). If default browser timeout is set to zero, the JZ Browser prompt will be bypassed entirely.
- Opera Mini: full-screen, kill JBed option, multiple URL & pasting options.
- Lots of new options for button mapping. All known registry and link file button hacks now integrated to allow virtually any command to be called up. Also provides ability to create a CUSTOM link file from scratch.
- Changed menus to include menu-returns for easy navigation and better user friendliness. Added letters to Action menu as qwerty keyboard shortcuts.
- Phone-specific menu under JZ Settings which expands button mapping for BlackJack II (Samsung i617) CV/MediaNet buttons, as well as, AT&T Tilt (HTC Kaiser) PTT & Long-PTT buttons. More will be added.
- Creation of Start Menu shortcuts & opening of JBed applications w/o needing to open JBed first.
- 3 different methods under JZ Settings > JZ Misc. Options for opening Favorites. Save a Favorite from the JZ Browser script when you pop a link.
- Incorporated VitoCopyPaste with a timeout to return your directional pad action button back to normal.
- Various speed & optimization considerations incorporated.
- Function to deal with MortScript losing focus (e.g. when Home is pressed while Mort choice menu is running).
thanx a lot!!
Mods: I am posting this in general since it makes more sense because it doesn't only affect the Raphael. You may delete this thread. I apologize for this. Thank you.

I have done extensive searching here and on google and cannot find this answer. I hope somebody here has a clue how to accomplish this.
I want Opera Mobile to render the correct font as defined in the website author's CSS when I view a web page. I have found information on how to install Opera fonts, and I've gotten this to work, but only for the Generic Font Family settings.
Here is what is happening...
1. Using Opera 9.5, build 15613
2. Installed Microsoft's "web fonts" to \Windows AND \Windows\Fonts
3. When installed to \Windows, WM6.1 recognizes new fonts. If I go into Word, for example, I see all the fonts (Arial, Times New Roman, Georgia, Verdana, etc.)
4. When I go into Opera, I can go into the opera:config and change the "CSS Generic Font Family" and "Fonts" settings to get it to use an alternate font. As an example, I installed Consolas from Vista because it looks better than Courier New and when I changed monospace and Form.Text to Consolas, it worked perfectly. Note: this only worked after making a copy of all the fonts into the \Windows\Fonts folder, so that is where Opera looks, apparently.
5. When I go to a website that I KNOW uses Georgia as its primary font (can verify on desktop browser), the entire site is rendered still as Tahoma. This is very easy to spot because Georgia is a very different looking font than Tahoma.
6. When I go into a text field on this site, it uses Consolas instead of Courier New, as expected, because the site does not specify a font for textboxes. But this verifies that Opera is seeing the alternate fonts, just choosing not to use them when rendering the sites.
Is it possible to get Opera to load the font specified in the author's CSS file? If so, how?
What else I've tried:
1. "Author Display Mode" and "User Display Mode" - disabling User Fonts and Colors and User CSS in BOTH spots.
2. Soft reset
Hello.
Sorry if it was already asked/answered,but from PDA I am unable to search the forums.
So,I just discovered, that the Internet Tab of Sense 2.5 can work with my default browser(Ucweb, not Opera),so I start to use it and I see here some limitations. Is there a way to have Favorites not in order 2x5 grid, but as a list of apx.1cm height rows? With other default browser I cannot have any thumbnail,so the dimensions of the fav.cubes are very unpractical. Another question... How can I backup them(I am running EnergyROM 6.5.5,S2.5 which includes something named "Settings Export",but don't know,if it can do backup of this) and can the total number(10) be extended for more favs?
Thanks.
Did you find out how to replace the cube for text row ?
No,therefore I ask about it...
I use for very long time SPB Shell and I am very happy with it, but what I was missing it was a direct link to a web site. For long time I used links on first page of Opera but they are only 9 and I need it more. Sow I start digging for a solution.
I find this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=490447 on my favorite site (xda-developers.com) but it doesn't say nothing about web links. So I just try a solution by myself and I find it. Please remember maybe somebody else find this solution to, but personally, I didn`t find noting about this subject in my searches.
How you to:
1. You create a new .lnk file or you just duplicate one already existent (you can do this in other programs to but i will explain only for resco)
2. Rename .lnk file with any name you desire.
3. At properties on second tab named "Shortcut" on "Target" field write "http://www.website.com" were www.website.com is you desired website. Please do not forget to write the "http://" part because without the link is not working.
4. Deselect if is need it "Hidden" option on "General" tab other ways backup program will ignore the link and you may lost it on next restore.
4. Whit a specialized program change icon of link with a icon of your choice. I created a icon (png file) with a snap shot for every page I use.
5. Enjoy.
Here is my page in SPB Shell dedicated to Web (for icon used here please visit my blog www.everydaymobiles.blogspot.com)
When I had a Samsung A22 Ultra in any app I could "share" content and if the content was an URL I would see among the sharing options "copy".
An example: I opened the Medium app, I click on one of my articles, I click on share icon to share ita URL, I choose "copy" and I paste the URL in a LinkedIn conversation.
With MIUI I seldom see the copy option: I need to share to Google Keep and copy the link from the generated note.
Am I missing something?
Thx
Anyone here who can help pretty please?
Solved... By myself...
