I have been trying out JB roms lately and really them but I have a problem with my camera apps, mainly Camera FV-5 & Camera Pro.
The problem is that they load fine but when looking at the screen the preview of what I am going to take the photo of is only about 2/3 size of the screen and then there is a black border for the rest of the screen, I rely on my camera so I have to be able to see the whole screen.
The roms I have tried are BlackCNA v2.1 & PARANOIDANDROID 2.17 [Utacka]
Any help would be appreciated.
Oh is it possible to have the Galaxy note 2 gallery in these roms?

It looks like the previous are borrowed from the stock camera which leaves room for the settings and shutter.
Do you see your pictures correctly in gallery?

Thanks for the reply, I haven't taken any photo's, mmm I must have worded it wrong for lack of a better word, what I mean is the area of the screen you look at when you take a photo

Hi,
for ICS, I am looking for a camera app, taking picture in high resolution, but without the delay (around 0.5 to 1 second) before taking the picture.
I press on the screen to make th focus first.
then, I press on the button to take the picture,
after a delay, the picture is taken,
but the target has moved, in most of the case !
thanks for any idea.
Olivier
This might help.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spritefish.fastburstcamera&hl=en
thank you for the answer.
I tested it, it shoot only in low resolution.
The Note has a 8M pixel camera.
on my iphone 4S, the picture are taken immediatly.
if the focus is already done, I don't see any reason to not be able to take picture immediatly. after that, saving the picture in the sdcard, or the phone, can take few second (8m pixel can give big files)
I continue to look on google )
thanks
Olivier
may i recommend OC ?
OC ? I don't find it in the google play.
what is the exact name ?
thanks
Olivier
No shutter lag while clicking pictures depends on the hardware. iPhone 4S has no shutter lag, so does Galaxy S3 but our Note, even though its freaking awesome, does have some drawbacks. This is one of them.
But, if you do find anything useful please inform me too
Try Camera JB+ takes picture very fast and full res... Well, not as fast as Iphone 4s/SG S3 but i would say 60-80 % faster that stock camera app on our Note..
I would recommend JB+

There seems to be some problem with my moto x camera!
The pictures are little blurred or noisy, I compared the pictures with nexus 5 and it they are not even close.
I can't find much settings here to adjust focus or exposure. Can some help.
Attached some random clicks from my camera.
The moto x has never been known for its camera.

I totally agree!! But the pictures were more clear in the beginning or for some pictures at least .
Is there any settings update or app that could overcome this issue.
Seriously the pictures are worse than a regular 5MP lumia mobile.

I get best results with HDR and outdoors. I also use auto flash and auto HDR inside. That is a hit or miss. Not saying I don't ever get good shots. But coming from a note and a s4 there is no comparison.

Maybe try to clear the data on just the stock camera app. That should restore all the default settings.
You could try to turn on control focus and exposure, it allows you to drag a box over the area you want focused. It helps in certain scenarios. Like others have already said, cameras have never been a strong suit for Moto

The phone won't just take worse pictures with time.
You might have micro scratches too.
Please check this screenshot!
May be there are some scratches!
I observed one more disturbance when I open my camera,
Seeing some vertical lines while I was trying to take a picture!
Seems like magnetic disturbance! Is this expected?
Attached a pic for reference,
And the images are fine from close distance but the more distant the object is its get blurred, which is not the case for 8mp nexus 5.
I compared the camera's of my mobile moto x and moto g second gen, seriously my photos were out of focus and missing clarity.
As well the vertical lines observed in my phone are not there in moto g.
Will restore to factory settings and check it, anything else I can do?
Can the Google camera HDR+ be ported to Motog5s+?
The inbuilt camera sucks.
Idk so far but I'm using Google camera v4.2.035 using AEX ROM with beans gapps cause that's the only gapps I found which makes Google camera works out better on Moto G5S+ besides it doesn't have HDR nor HDR+ mode in Google camera but still normal quality is better than that of stock but this ROM lags in camera stability so I wonder if they really gonna update ROM with camera stability and some bug fix

Pleasure. Yeah camera quality has dramatically improved. I dont even feel the need of flash in low lights as it holds the details pretty well.
Isn't it possible to port GC 4.4 version, as it has already been done for Redmi devices with the same processor?
I tried to install porting for redmi devices with SD 4xx or 6xx. It said "this app is incompatible with your phone".

Only if ur using Google camera which is in beans gapps 7.1.x version I have problem with stock camera on stock rom as like I'm using some DSLR lol while taking pic I have to stay still or pic get blurry AF while on Google camera 4.2 or something with 32bit architecture it only got normal mode with slow motion and panorama at Max but still normal pics r better than stock and manual exposer doesn't work
Over all impression if ur rooting or gonna use AEX only for camera than don't flash it AEX got so many bugs too specially for XT1804 network issue is big one

Google camera Mods 80 sets in one place try one with arm-arm64 which is the only one to work for 32bit all other won't work most likely and
Specifically saying imo try arm-arm64 with RAW support it works like charm high noise reduction but HDR+ takes pics on blue side of RGB color but still it's way better

Those ports are only supports arm64 bit architecture and sadly Moto g5s+ got arm32 Bit
Well check one of my last comments it got androidfilehost link with 80 GC mods but there r only few like 4 or 6 mods that r available for 32bit and works nice than stock camera

Using the manual camera compatibility tool I've got the camera 2 API activated yet. So the redmi port of GC camera doesn't work because is 32 bit system.
Hello, because on the one hand we are many users in this forum of XDA and on the other hand there are many versions of many developers in the blog of Celso Azevedo, I would like to make a survey about which is the best Google Cam's apk for the Moto X4 both in performance and in operation to be able to unify a bit the comments of all users in relation to the portability of the Google Cam for the Moto X4.
If someone of the participants also wants to add the settings that you have installed on the apk, it would be very good.
Thank you!
in the stock I use Gcam Arnova 8G2 V7 beta test 9 and has no problems, in lineageos I occupy the latest version of Arnova8G2 8.1 without any problem. in Android stock the 8.1 does not open.

No; but the quality is effectively the same, regardless.
The limitation is due to the fact that the X4 uses a method known as 'pixel binning' which basically combines the data from 4 pixels into one, thus the camera is reported to third party apps as 4mp, but that's just the way the camera hardware spec is passed to those apps by the stock firmware.

If you click the pictures and bring up the menu, click the info button and you'll see the ports I used for each picture. Most were taken with the same port. I only use two versions.

Hello everyone.
I'm debating whether to buy the P30 Pro or not, but I don't want to make the decision until I see some RAW photos from its camera.
I find it crazy that there isn't a single RAW/DNG photo available for download on the entire internet and I've been searching for them for them far and wide.
Can a good soul among you who owns the P30 Pro provide me with a couple of different photos? I'm mainly interested in the main 40 megapixel sensor, so you don't have to bother with samples from the other two sensors if it's too much of a hassle for you.
Thank you!

Thank you, my good man.
Well, it's normal that the colors are off, you are supposed to adjust them to your own liking since that is one of the main reasons to shot in RAW.
If you want to color-correct the main camera I found that pulling the tones of red, orange and yellow to around -40 is a good start. Also pulling the green curve in the darks a little into purple and it almost looks real.

Firefox Send has discontinued
I have been struggling to find a Huawei raw file as well. Unfortunately firefox send has been discontinued so I was unable to access these files. Would it be possible to access these files in another way?
Thanks in advances!
Of topic (I really don't know about raw, but every photographer does say raw photography does have the most beautiful end result in most ways.... So I have to learn about it).
But does anyone know why it's recommended, with the p30 pro, to have image size of photos in 4:3 instead of full image?
Why is 4:3 recommended?
I like the full view much better whioe shooting a picture, but if its less better I don't do it anymore.
Thanks for your time.
