if you have an HD7, instead of an HD7S on Cingular, you will only get Edge.
make sure 3G is set to on under Settings -> Cellular.
you might try a different Radio, yes.

Well after finally trying to upgrade my rom i am now stuck at the screen with red green and blue that shows my IPL and SPL.
Can someone tell me where and what rom i can use. So far all the ones i have tried dont work
here are my specs before updating,
IPL/SPL 2.26
gsm 2.25.11
Os 2.26.10.2
I need to get this fixed asap as this is my only phone. Please help!!!!
Turn into bootloader and up Official ROM.
Try it if your wizard is T-Mobile Variop.
http://www.tm-phonedownloads.com/download_manager_mda_vario.html
Also make sure your Storage card is removed before you flash.
Is your phone CID unlocked?
I had a molski rom working on it before i just wanted to update cause alot of things stopped working. I use cingular service so i cant use the tmobile rom. I have installed the tmobile rom so i know it will take a rom. Im just having a hard time getting anything new to work. the CID was unlocked at one time will that change when i tried to upgrade or reinstalled the tmobile rom?

No, you should not have to unlock it again, unless you burned the button 1.05 rom again. Then you have to unlock it again.
so which rom which i try? Its a T-mobile MDA G3 and im using it for cingular service?
Here you go...

Thanks. Not too concerned about the Radio if it isnt hard to Flash. Is it true you have to do a SIM Unlock to flash a Radio? I looked at the top of the Radio Thread and it doesnt mention it.
What Radio will any of you ATT users who Flash this, use?
Downloading....

Well done

Sim Unlock required to flash a Topaz radio. Check radio thread. I am using 4.49.25.17. No SIM unlock required for that one. Just HardSPL.

Thanks. You have no problems with using that Radio I take it? My stock was 4.48.25.20.

Thanks Eras2r. It works.
Thanks Eras2r! It worked for me too.
Now if I could only get the Topaz 4.48.25.20 radio loaded up - in theory the rilphone.dll is already on the AT&T ROM so it should work.
I have HardSPL and unlocked sim. Yet, the Topaz radio will not load for me. Any ideas how to get it to load?

Not SIM unlocked, it has to be SECURITY unlocked if you want to flash a non-Rhodium radio. If you want a Rhodium radio, only HardSPL is needed.
Check this thread for more info on how to security unlock - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=555339

I am SECURITY unlocked - I've done the HardSPL thing and can load ROMs, Radios, etc. without a problem. I am also sim unlocked, but I guess that isn't required.
I still cannot load the Topaz radio on to my Tilt 2 though.
Any word on if/when the splashscreen upon bootup will be included or if you can go back to the stock SPL?
this build is very stable (i installed it on my tilt 2). Wierd thing tho is that the HTC Youtube app is missing.

....so you purchased the complete unlocker package from olipro WITH the security unlock included?? If not, you may not be security unlocked. When in bootloader mode, does it say "security unlocked" on top of the screen?
Later..........

Security unlock, SIM unlock, and HardSPL are 3 different things. Unless you purchased the complete package from Olipro as mentioned in the thread (or were given a code directly), you won't be able to flash a radio from a different model of phone.
SIM unlock = use of SIMs other than the carrier locked ones
HardSPL = use of other ROMs, as well as other Rhodium-SPECIFIC radios
Security unlock = use of radios from other phone models (such as Topaz)
Thanks so much OP
still cannot get the whole package with rom radio huh? I guess I will wait longer. Too itchy to try different rom. ahhhh
Hey guys,
Has anyone had success in getting their 3g back from rogers after applying the 3.22.26.17 radio to their dream without installing the full rogers locked up update?
Thanks,
SR
Yes, Rogers is checking the radio version.
It worked for me, but took about 24 hrs to get 3G back.
Huge thread over at developers subforum
hi guys,
I have T-mobile HD7 bought in China, I upgrade to Mango thru Zune but now the sim card keeps random error, the sim card is ok when I tried on other mobile phones, I was thinking maybe the carrier is T-Mobile US so they wont accept China Mobile Sim card?
My Info as follows:
Model : HTC HD7 T9292
OS Version : 7.10.7720.68
Firmware revision number : 2250.21.40503.531
Hardware revision number : 0002
Radio software version : 5.69.09.29a_22.50.50.21U
Radio hardware version : A.12.0.D4
Bootloader version : 4.5.2250.0(129966)
Chip SOC Version : 2.2.5.0
I am planning to install the "RUU_Schubert_S_hTC_Asia_SEA_W... .exe" from this link: "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1263495&page=11" in the first post, maybe this will erase the T-Mobile as Carrier, should this be ok? or need to HSPL first?
Thanks in advance.
This is odd, I'm using my T-Mobile HD7 with another SIM card from another country.
My phone is SIM unlocked and running Mango.
Not sure what might cause the issue for you.
It was running fine before Mango?

unsure why your HD7 isn't detecting your SIM card properly...
but if you want to flash a non-TMOUS ROM, you will need RSPL, at least.
i wrote a tutorial, here.
flashing a Shipped ROM will replace your SPL, as well.
keep that in mind.

change the .EXE to .ZIP and extract with 7-zip or the like...
you need only to have RSPL.

I'm trying to find radio roms for my Vivid. (Telstra Australia varient)
I can't get 4g/lte, the phone radio just dies when I'm in 4g areas. I want to flash a new radio rom. Both Telstra (the phone) and the carrier I'm with Optus both use the same band/frequency and such I should probably just need to use any recent telstra radio rom.
I've searched but can't find any vivid radio roms. Where are they?

I'm not an expert, but I believe flashing radios is more of a hassle than regular ROMs. The radio is in a protected partition, which is not modifiable without S-OFF (or maybe some very specific and unknown code from the carrier). I also recall reading that the radio is on a different CPU (FCC regulations?), and that the phone first boots the radio through that CPU, and once that's ok, THEN the main CPU is activated to boot the rest of the phone. So if you screw up your radio, it could be very bad.
I found this thread kind of discussing flashing radios:
