Title pretty much says it all.
Does anyone have a Bell Atrix HD that they are using on AT&T? If so are they able to use the medianet plan undetected?
Thanks
Bump. I too would like to know

Maybe not factory unlocked, but a seller unlocked of the Bell (Canada) variant?

I know there is someone on this forum with the Bell variant, which obviously doesn't have the death star, most likely that is what this is.
Yeah, almost sure the phones without the branding from ebay are seller-unlocked bell-phones.
Is there any difference in software? What about updates?

it gets less updates... not worth the risk, i saw a guy on moto forum complaining they didnt get the 9/13 update
On a Bell HD right now.
Version : 77:55:18.
Pros :
-No branding
-Very quick to unlock. (less than 5 mins for $19)
-Can turn off LTE
-Usually can be rooted same time as AT&T
-Sometimes can be used on medianet unlimited plan
Cons :
-Slower to get updates (most times, but not always) This is a big one, but not an issue once the bootloader is unlocked.
That's all i can think of right now.

There is a way to turn off LTE on at&t phones, but it needs root.
So that was is only a temporary advantage...
Also I haven't seen any in white?
I have an unlocked Bell Atrix HD with no carrier branding. That is what the seller is selling. Im getting 4g/H+ on T-Mobile

Please note that it is XDA policy to sell things only under the sale area and not in a phone's forum.

Hi Gabe!
I too got my Atrix HD from "UniqueFlips". My (Bell) Atrix HD is now ROOTED and has an UNLOCKED bootloader. How did you Flash ATT software on your Bell Atrix HD? Where can I download the ATT software?
Thank you!

Just bought a bell attic hd with an unlocked bootloader. I know what unlocked bootloaders allow us to do, so my question is when will we see dev support for the unlocked variants?

Everybody has the one x, s3, or iPhone... I personally want my phone to be a great phone first of all. Good battery life, great radios, built well, decent storage. Since i couldn't afford the RAZR HD maxx, here i am. I'm pretty happy. Could always be better but for what I paid or didn't rather, im excited.
I traded my iphone 4s for this phone, this phone is much faster and the only thing the 4s beat this in is camera. Other than that, this is way better. I habe the maxx battery in my atrix

Ordered the maxx battery. But need some unlocked bootloader love.

Try the nexus camera. I've noticed much better picture quality but it could also be jellybean, itself.

not true. my bell AHD doesn't have an unlocked bootloader.
i think the only ones claiming to have an unlocked bootloader are the ones who bought sim-unlocked Bell AHDs online.
And those ones probably don't come from the proper Bell retail channels since they all should come locked.

Hey guys,
I just picked up an Atrix HD and I plan on unlocking and using it on T-Mobile.
I did a search and couldn't find any info - is it possible to get T-mobile Wifi Calling working on this phone? I've heard that the app is device specific, but since we share the same chipset with the Galaxy SIII which has wifi calling, would it be possible to port it from that or something?
Thanks!
Are you talking about VOIP? Like vonnage?

I was referring to this:
http://t-mobile-coverage.t-mobile.com/4g-wireless-broadband-service
More details:
http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-1680#How_WiFi_Calling_works
I've read something about a kineto.apk as being the base of wifi calling, but I'm not sure if this is something doable.
Does nobody know if this is possible? Would the newly unlocked bootloader help with this?

To tell you the truth that is about 99% impossible at this moment. There are bounties for other devices that start from $1000 up to $10,000 to get this working on non tmobile devices so you do the math on how hard is to make this work.
Does anyone have T-Mobiles Wifi calling feature on their Atrix HD? I someone got it on their Samsung Infuse which is an At&T phone. I'm switching to T-mobile so i want to be able to use wifi calling.
I've asked this question before and didn't get any feedback.
I would definitely love to have it if someone has it working, but I think the answer is no

Here's the thread from the infuse for reference: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1455264
I would think the best route would be to port from the T-Mobile s3 since it has the same chipset, but I don't know nearly enough to make it happen...

The thing about that is that s3 is on T-Mobile and at&t so you would have to flash the T-Mobile s3 stock rom in order to get wifi calling. There's no atrix HD type phone on T-Mobile.

Hm yeah. I just meant that if somebody was going to try and port it, the s3 is probably the closest configuration T-Mobile device to ours, considering both have MSM8960 chipsets, dual core 1.5ghz krait, and Adreno 225 graphics. If someone wanted to port the Wi-Fi calling app alone to the AHD, the T-Mobile GS3 would probably be the best place to start (again, I'm no expert)

Your right. Sorry. They would basically have to strip down the firmware and implement it as a zip. I really hope someone figures it out. Apparently right now there's a WiFi calling enabling method for non T-Mobile phones but its only for gingerbread and under.

Trying to root and rom my friends Atrix HD, he's with at&t,
I cannot for the life of me fine the at&t section.
Rooting and flashing a ROM is universal for the AHD. Carrier doesn't matter
Sent from my Atrix HD using Tapatalk 4
This isn't the atrix 2 bud. This is technically the atrix 3. And it's an att phone so the roms are based on att first off. But like he said carrier doesn't matter. Any rom for the phone will work. That's why it's just a Motorola atrix HD section.
