Rooting?

What are the main benefits of rooting? is it worth it ?

The benefits of rooting for me is to make the handset completely customised to the way I want it. I do it mainly for the custom roms and it gives me full control over everything on my phone!

for me it's that I can overclock or under volt which is really part of customizing the phone and it's all about the custom roms I literally love the rcmix tweaks and all the good stuff found in a Capy ROM also for me is that I can emulate with market access any provider worldwide so that means I can get apps even thou they're not authorized out available for my region!

Enable Beats software with all Players?

Hi. I'm really enjoying my comeback to Android OS after being forced to he with IO5 for a while now...anyway, I love my Sensation XL with its beats software and all but found the Combination of PoweAmp player and Beats is Astonishing Experience But sadly it will last only 5 minutes or so then the Beats software Disabled! This only happen when I play stock player then stop then I play PowerAmp and so on..!
My Question is there a way to Enable Beats software with all players in my Phone!? This will make my Beats Monster Rock harder than it is with the PowerAmp and Beats :thumbup:

Well you could try installing either capys or bindroid roms as they have an option in the tweaks setting to enable beats software in all players or beats boost as its called but I'm guessing its the same sort of thing (correct me if I'm wrong)

Beat audio

Okay, im using bens rom insanely cool sense v2.2.1 and the beat software only work for the original music player, any of you guys know how to make it work for any music player because the orignal is sucks

HTC have coded Beats Audio so it will only work with stock music player. From reading the Sensation forums I believe PowerAMP has a Beats Audio function, although I've never personally tested it.

I just want to tell you guys that i am working on a cm9 version for our sensation xl. i am just finishing it today adding some tweaks and then ready to go
I am not the one that has made the rom from start, but finishing it up

yep that is true they made it and credits will go to them, but i have added tweaks and some stuff giving it a little extra
also saw that a big team L.E.R from china working on a sense 4 rom for sensation xl

Remember about big issues on this kernel.
Sometimes phone its can't be charged when system is up.

if we in develop options set it to avoid sleep while charging it will let it charge... according to what the g21 guyes have found out i will test it but for now it charges just fine

Well, if the problems come from the kernel, couldn't it work on LTX kernel with modified ramdisk?

Then compile cm9 froum source and use that if you want fast and stable and good battery at the same time it will be hard to find as rom that is very fast also uses more battery often. You can try any rom and put lexmazters over clock kernel in and over clock it to 1.8 ghz and change govenor type then it will be fast but i will promiss u that it also drains fast if you choos a govenor that runs cpu at 1.8 all time a good alternative will be a sense 4.1 from stona that is fast but has the muting speaker problem like every sense 4 rom for sensation xl has. Or you can try a sense 3.6 rom. I have used insanly cool sense from vertigo before i starts to learn about development and that is a good compromis for speed and battery. But in my opinion i have not used any rom that can hold for 2 days. The best was 1.5 day but then it was not so fast and i only want a rom that can hold a whole day. I dont want to have to recharge in the middle of the day so 1 day of battery for me is fine. If you want speed and can accept battery for one day try my miui rom

I've tried using this ROM but i got stuck first time on booting, after i saw that it has to be installed over an other ROM without flash it managed to boot up but its hanging on home screen with "LOADING". I wonder when this wonderful rom will be available as a single update zip.
Grats for the developers for ss_cobra rom but some work is still undone, i'll wait for a single and clean flash of ss_cobra

No matter whatever ROM you would try, this will have that stupid Front Speaker Mute bug. If you are on a call already and there is another in coming call or text msg then front speaker goes mute. I have tried allllllllll ROMs but all of them had thia problem. :banghead: :thumbdown:

Only the rom that has sense 4.0 or sense 4.1 has that. All 3.6 and miui roms dont have that

SXL owners are already using Sense 3.6 so to me there is no point flashing a 3.6 sense ROM just for couple of additional options. 4 or 4.1 sense look beautiful to me but that mute bug is a big turn off. Its like owning a BMW without wheels in it

then you can always try miui rom, the diffrnece senseless that we have to sensation xl, if it is for trying something new

OTG is a kernel feature, i don't know.if it's activated but i can activate it, also, i can'test it because.i don't have a OTG cable, if someone would like to test it, the next version of LTX kernel.will feature OTG support.
