There does not seem to be any fix for the Optimus Black 2.3.4-update, so a fix may not appear at all. Sorry about that. Still, if anyone have any idea about how to solve this issue please contact me.

To all of you who don't like the bright lights on hardware keys, both suggestions are for stock or stock based ROMs, search in Play Store:
LG Touch Key Lights
(don't know for stock ICS, but for for GB there was a workaround in hidden menu, but hey an app with "Set on boot" are way more comfortable) than hidden menu. Searching this might lead to some other goodies, I know many have had requests for the hardware keys for notifications like:
LG Touch Led Notification
Let's hope he'll update it or some of our devs continue it as touch led is no longer under active developed
As both apps described there's no link, the authors deserves all attentions.
While at it, I'm planning to zip all my Xperia mods like Sony Walkman, launcher, album, clock, weather and more, but it won't happen before:
1. Got the authors permission to zip them or
2. Just link to their treads
Anyway, can't promise yet, but I hope to get this done as those o2x owners who appreciate Xperia launcher and minimalism deserves even more from Xperia

I tried it with V28e, didn't work for me... Was working perfectly on GB, though.
i disable mine in v28g ICS in display settings.. i think it saves me more batery juice..
i used to have that app to turn the lights off, but it only works on GB...so i asked here and someone told me about this app called RootDim, wich works perfectly on ISC and JB

exactly, and there's no need for other program to install.
Now that we have root and bootloader unlock, is there any way to enable the notification light like with the nexus 6?

Yes I know some LED apps in the play store work. I'm running Resurrection Remix and my LED light was enabled by default in the rom. It lights up for every new email and text I get

Can you get your light to blink for notifications? Mine is just solid even after changing the options
I honestly haven't tried getting it to blink. It doesn't bother me being solid and personally works better for me so I don't miss it when I glance
So, when I first got the phone and was running the stable Chinese ROM, I could use an app called "Light Manager Pro" to control the color of a notification LED for any particular app.
Now, I've flashed the unofficial global ROM, and it seems that app no longer can control my notification light. I've also tried "Light Flow," and if anything, it makes it worse (the LED doesn't come on at all when using that app).
The app has notification access, and it is an exception to MIUI battery saver (meaning it should run in the background all the time). Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Did you try the trick where you bring up the running apps/task manager and swipe down and select lock? (Presumably to keep it locked in memory)

This doesn't do anything. Something about how the app wants to control the LED is not how the phone wants the LED to be controlled (as an added note, things like "Flash Rate," have absolutely no effect on the LED when it does light up).
Anyone got it to work yet?
I've tried everything and can't get it

Use TIBU to make it a system app...only thing I can think to try. That's the only way I could get TeslaUnread to stay open.
I also like to configure the LED color but the Mi Mix led is so faint that I don't even bother.
Anybody manage to solve this yet. I haven't, and it's been quite a long time.
actually the LED light control app is not run on miui but it works well on samsung or some of huawei phone
I was just roaming around to enable Notification LED.
So I've installed EX kernel manager and in Miscellaneous section I've found LED SETTINGS and the options... (Check yourself). I enable battery-charging-blink-full-solid. And as it says the led blinks while charging and freeze when my battery gets 87%!
I think we can use a init script for our purposes but i think that will not work with Notifications?
I know that there are many apps that can do this.
Give your thoughts please!

Yes there is a white led on left side next to front camera.
Is there anyway to get the notification light to work on this phone? Custom ROMs do have the blue notification LED, so I was wondering if maybe you could edit the build.prop or something to activate the notification light in stock. Maybe something with Tasker would work as well? The apps that use the camera flash as the LED notification are way too bright and blinding.

If you are rooted there's an app on Google Play that is called Moto LED enabler that kinda works. It keeps popping up the toast that it's been granted root access, but it does work. I was too annoyed by the root access toast notifications to keep it though.

I could have sworn Lineage had it too, but when I tried it again, I couldn't get it to work. I'll try out the ROMs you mentioned.

I tried that before and it wouldn't work. Now I'm wondering if maybe the LED on my phone is broke since you said it works for you.
