Whenever I try and backup my apps via T.B. it always gets stuck during the process. Yes i have USB Debugging enabled..Unknown Sources checked..and I am fully rooted. Also, whenever i try and fix permissions via ROM manager or ROM Toolbox..it also gets stuck during the process. Any ideas??
Try to fix permissions through cwm recovery
Delete cash and dalvik not data from cwm recovery
Delete cash of titanium and other apps from setting/apps
Make sure their is a space from apps to be backup
Try to install supersu (not superuser) from market and give titanium and others permissons in it

I have the same exact issue. I think we need to talk to the T.B. dev to look into the issue
Same problem here. Tried all the solutions mentioned above but didn't work. I also encounter the same issue with Link2SD and Root Explorer.

LogCat
Guys,
Can you attach a logcat while is trying to do a backup with Titanium?
I'm working with support on the issue, and the more logs we have from different devices, the easier it will be for them to figure out where the problem is and how to fix it
Thanks

I had this issue with tibu, not sure on a fix for the others. Get this app from market (above link). Update busybox and sqlite and then go into tibu/preferences. At the very bottom, go twoubleshooting and choose to force system busybox and sqlite. Restart app. See if that works.

Go into settings/applications / manage applications. Then scroll down to the superuser app and force close then clear data. Then go to the app in your app drawer and restart the app. Then go into the settings of the superuser app and scroll down to notification type and choose regular / normal notification instead of toast notification. Then try your apps that require su you should be good to go. Let me know if this works.

Kifno did you try reflashing your rom again you shouldn't loose any settings or apps. Also you could try uninstalling superuser and reinstalling it,or don't know which recovery you are using but you could try fix permissions.
Also don't update the binarys a couple roms have that problem when u flash a new rom go to the market first thing and make sure su isn't automatically updated if so stop it I had to do that coming from cm6.1 to asop9.9.2

After dealing with frustration after frustration with apps and HC, I decided to switch over to CM7. I backed everything up with Titanium Backup Pro then did a nandroid, then installed CM7 release 29. Everything went great with the install but I can not restore any of my backed up apps.
When I go to my backup/restore list, then select an app to restore, I get the dialog for app only or app + data. If I hit app only, it comes back and says that "App restore complete" but when I look at my drawer, the app is not there and in TB Pro, it still has the line through the listed app. If I hit restore app + data, I get the message App + Data restore failed. I've tried downloading the apps from the Market, then trying to just restore the data but that doesn't work either. I get the message that says it's complete but when I load the app the first time, no settings have been changed.
I also tried going into root explorer, changing the /system/app directory to R/W but that doesn't seem to make a difference. I've updated su and busybox from within TB and using the stand alone apps. I've tried unmounting and remounting the sd card. I've tried rebooting. Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?
I have the nandroid so I can go back to HC and try an alternate backup method but I'd love to get this just to work.
The version of Titanium Backup that I am using is 3.7.4.1.
Thanks.

There are three options in the Problems? menu.
Check Wiki
Update Busybox
Update Superuser
I looked at the wiki and it didn't provide an answer to this problem. I updated Busybox again and Superuser was already updated.
I have TB set to keep 3 backups. I went and did another backup then verified all backup files. Over 100 files, including some that I just backed up under CM7, came up corrupt.
Any ideas why the majority of files backed up are corrupt? Clearly depending on TB to backup apps on the Nook was a bad idea.

I'm having this problem as well. TB has never worked on any of my roms. I usually try to do a lot of searching before I post, I'm usually not the first to have problems. But I can't seem to find a solution anywhere.
I think you have to go into settings and into application settings then tick the box to allow unknown sources.
So I woke up this morning and found my phone acting weird. And after a couple of reboots and cursing my phone is acting like never before. EVERY single application is force closing and NOTHING will start or change. I am stuck without being able to turn on WiFI or disable air plane mode. I have not changed anything on my phone that I can think of that would to this. Just suddenly nothing works. I would like to wipe and factory reset but I can't backup my data.
Hope someone can help!

I have to state that your thread title is misleading. Obviously, on your phone, at least battery and screen ARE in working condition...
i meant flash a stock rom with odin including pit file... do you experienced those problems?
if that is what you have done there is nothing i can help you, maybe some more experienced people here can help you
I only experience this with cm7.1. Now, yesterday I wiped my phone completely and decided to reinstall cm7.1 and i did. I even restored my apps via market to make sure my backups were not the cause. Now, just a moment ago my phone went nuts and a temporary cure is to wipe cache and fix permissions. Usually it starts with google apps (some framework fc) and then everything goes.

Next time your apps start force closing, and clearing cache, dalvik cache, and fixing permissions does not work, take a look at your /datadata folder and make sure there is space in there. If there isn't, any apps that write data there will force close. Keep that in mind.

The /datadata folder is essentially where apps keep some information. If you try to install an app without enough room there, it will say insufficient space; likewise, if it's really full and an app needs to write data there, it will force close. The size of this folder usually differs between ROMs.
I know Root Explorer shows the size and free space at the top for the folder you're in. I'm sure in other apps you could long-press the folder and there may be an option for folder details or something, but it's really dependent on the app.
I'm on f1 innovation rom jvt and it has the new market which I do not like. So I used this method to get the old one back. I deleted vending.apk and marketupdater.apk. Then I copied updater.apk and market.apk to system/app.
Now when I open the market it force closes straight away on the circular loading icon

I installed FPSE, and then uninstalled it after having problems, but now I cannot install either the version I downloaded, or the version from the store. Both tell me I have insufficient storage space available, even though I have well over a gig free.
Also I am able to install other things.
Any ideas?

Use some Root Browser to check your system folder to see if you have available storage space. Sometime the old files are not deleted and they fill up the storage space. If this is the case you need to format the system folder before you can install anything.
I had the same problem too, after I uninstalled N.O.V.A. 3 and can't install it back. But other apps has no problem of installing.
SD maid from Playstore might help here^_^.
Contrary to the name, it clears cache and left over data and logs from the phone internal and external memory.

If you have another Android device, you can force the app back on your phone.
1) Install app on other device
2) Make Titanium Backup of app on other device and send it to your phone
3) Open Titanium Backup on phone and go into preferences; change restore location to external storage
4) Restore app backup from other device
5) After restoring app, go into Settings -> Applications and move the app from SD to phone
6) Now app is installed on phone just as if you installed it normally and you can change your Titanium Backup restore location back to default

Try to clear cache and data from the store.
Easy, uninstall the app first, then go /data, search the app name, like "titanium" or the package name, sth like com.xxxxxx.xxx, should have that name.odex or any other, delete it, but make sure its correct name of coz, after u deleted the file in /data, u can install it again
But yea, like the above user say, it usually appear in crack app, if so, do the purchase mate

You must have some leftover file for previous installation, serch and delete of that will allow to install again.
I had this problem the other day trying to install apps with titanium backup and the play store, both were getting this error. I fixed it the same way by going into the data/app folder and deleteing the .odex files in there. I had two in my folder, one was 'com.kermidas.TitaniumBackup-1.odex' and i cant remember what the other one was. I think when an app is uninstalled or modified, it sometimes leaves a .odex residue file which causes the error.
Here is a simple SOLUTION :-
Install lucky patcher now press the menu key
Choose troubleshooting now click on removes fixes and backup now u can install the application
