Accessories from B&M Stores - Nexus 7 Accessories

Does anyone know where to get any accessories for the N7 from a brick and mortar store in the US? Walmart has stuff listed on their website but they don't have any in stores, and yet they sell the tablet. Five below has a few generic cases but I am mostly after a screen protector for my Fiancee's new N7 and didn't want to have to order if I could avoid it. I guess I can use a cut to fit generic pack if I have to. I just concerned about it in her purse.

They're also selling the Dell Streak at half price - £199 unlocked.
Bought one yesterday and am very pleased!
me too
I got one in store too. Bargain at that price
Hopefully they'll reduce the prices online to match - I can't get to a store right now
£199? is that with no contract? thats a fooking bargain!! whats the os just the stock dell rom you get if you buy from the website?
Its off contract and updates easily to 2.2.2!
Just rooted mine and looking for a good ROM to start experimenting...

Yes, generic Dell set up with out a contract, just put my existing SIM card in and it has now updated to the latest Android version.
The online price was the same when I looked at Tesco Direct although they had no stock. I'm guessing that they've reduced then to clear and they won't be back in stock. I had to search locally for a store that still had 1 in stock.

I think that Tesco are clearing their stock. I hope that they decide to stock the Streak 2 as they seem to be offering the best prices...
At £199.95 sim free I'm sorely tempted to buy one just for spare!

Looking to purchase a Samsung NS Car Dock

The Samsung US site won't ship to Canada, nor is it available on BB's website. EBay may be an option. It looks like 3 are available on amazon now. They previously were not in stock.

Thanks.
I just found an eBay seller who has them on for $45US. I hit the "make an offer" and offered $39 for one and they accepted. They are new in box, according to seller. It says he has 11 left.

Anyone know if the part that holds the nexus s (the plastic "cover") is removable from the car dock? I much prefer my IQ Solutions dash mount, but would love to have something like that piece to hold my phone.
The holder detaches from the arm.

wouldnt it be better to get a generic holder like the exogear one? I mean, most nexus s owners replace phone once a year, does everybody also replace all the accesories? what is special about the official samsung holder other than the made to order snug fit? just curious.

Yeah, I replace the accessories yearly as well. Normally its just a car dock though.
The OEM docks just fit so much better. The nexus one stock was nice for the built in speaker phone and auto activation of car mode....but with nfc that is really not necessary anymore.

Yeah, there's something fishy here...the product isn't even in stock yet, however there are several 5 star ratings from people who already received them. And I looked at the review history for several of them, and they seemed to rate everything 5 stars...
Careful guys. It could be a scam. It's littered with phony 5 star reviews.

Is it even possible to scam through amazon? Aren't there some sort of licensing involved? What about PayPal? And if so they are wasting there time with a $5 scam... I guess we'll find out considering my order was placed and I've received my receipt...

I don't think it takes much to be a 3rd party seller. Either way, I don't think the company will completely rip you off. I think the scam is selling cheap case made to look a lot better than they are by planting fake reviews.

i returned a $6 kindle fire case with keyboard because it was some knockoff of what the pictures stated (it was missing the spring hinge to hold it in place, the stitching was just for show and the glue was around coming off within 24 hrs) - issue resolved very quickly with little hassle

Yes. I don't think a company is going to commit total fraud on a $5 item. But, it's quite obvious they're planting phoney reviews. If they're shipping cases for $5 including the shipping and making a profit, I wouldn't expect too much when it arrives.

The price seems way too good to be true.
I'm beginning to suspect that companies price these kinds of items insanely low at first, get tons of buyers, then get tons of awesome reviews, then they jack up the price and ride the positive reviews straight to profit (see the blurex magyc case as an example). In other words, pays to get in early on these deals (except I won't because I want an easy rotating case, not Velcro reattachment stuff).

This is the reply I got from the seller:
Hi dear customer,
Thank you for your email and concern. We are sorry for the misunderstanding and confusion about those product reviews. In fact, we usually produce around 100 samples for each new item before start producing large quantity. Especially for the tablet cases, we have confirm the case is perfectly fit the tablet. Those product reviews are the reviewers who received our sample in 2-3 weeks ago.
Thank you for your referral and patience for this back order. Please contact us at any time if you have any questions when you receive the case.
Thank you for your time and have a nice weekend
Sincerely,
Accessorise

Hello I recently purchased your product and would like confirmation that this is a legitimate product because I have referred your product to many people. They have questioned your product due to its obviously fake reviews. If you would please email me a confirmation or reference of yourself as a seller it would be good for your businesses and my peace of mind. Thank you.
I guess it makes sense and helps a Lil that they responded..

Alex from blurex told me that if you buy it through here http://www.amazon.com/gp/browse.html?ie=UTF8&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&me=AHALS71WJO58T , they will ship it to canada. it's only the ones fulfilled by amazon that don't ship to canada or something.

i'm not sure cause I haven't received my slim case yet, but it's a great case. it's nice and light while fitting the nexus 7 perfectly. I highly recommend it.
I ordered one of these off of Amazon and luckily they ship to Canada - http://www.amazon.com/KaysCase-SlimBook-Leather-Google-Tablet/dp/B008I2K372/ref=pd_sbs_e_2
Haven't received anything yet, just ordered yesterday.
Hey guys, bumping for interest since I live in Canada.
I like the cases above, but any suggestions for cases that have a stylus holder with the smart lock?
@hoponpop - Thanks for the link. It has been VERY difficult finding good cases available to Canadians, as lots of the Amazon sellers only seem to ship within the lower 48.
In case anyone else was having trouble, click the product, then click the "2 new from $xx.xx" or whatever link below Amazon's price. You can then select whether you want the order to be fulfilled by Amazon or the seller. Choose the seller and the case is actually a buck cheaper. $6 shipping to Canada isn't bad either!
I ordered this Blurex case http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008D2POAS/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00 and they ship to Canada. Total comes to about $20.
There was a coupon code for $5 off I believe, but I missed out. Oh well, $20 delivered to my door, can't complain.

Bestbuy and future shop have a few decent cases.
I have that blurex case and didn't like it due to fact that it gets annoying to get the notification bat to work since the frame of the case gets in the way... Other than that the case does the job... Try ebay I got mine from there for like 20 bucks including shipping...

I love the way that looks and folds into the screen too,
however is it safe buying from the seller considering they are based in China and i read there are a lot of scammers on alibaba/aliexpress
i have a similar one buyed a year ago,it look like the kb in this links above...and personally i can't use it due to the less spaced buttons and phisical dimensions of it too little..

Thank you for the input. A local consumer electronics store "Best Browse" may have a 7 inch net book around. Probably comparable in size. I think I'll give that a shot to see how cramped it may be. Worst case scenario I'll have a $25-$30 hard shell case. Best case scenario it is a decent keyboard to get some typing done when there isn't a full keyboard around.

How is this much better than the portrait keyboard?
I work in a store that sell elektronic accesories and we have this for the ipad. It's quite good quality. But the pad is quite unprotected when folded.
I have only tested it a few times and can't speak anything about battery time.
Hope this helps a bit.
And i had some experience with aliexpress. And the sellers that had a few reviews that i barted with have done their job. I haven't had any problem with them. Always got my goods, maybe quite late sometimes, but I got them.

Different tablet, different size, etc. There are a lot of factors that can determine it. The blatantly obvious one would be that the Nexus 7 is 7' not 10 with the iPad.
I'm interested in one, however I'm waiting for reviews to appear. If it turns out to work great, I'll get one to take notes in class with.
