You need to obtain the original dialler and dialler services apk's for gb off someone and copy them to system/apps

Do what spyder says or unzip the rom file (tar/zip) to the last level and take those files from there...
Moreover install Better battery stats as well to make sure if this is what causing the issue.... Just a side idea... And just to be sure

Moreover once u r replacing the files make sure to set the right permissions on them (check the permission of the files u are about to change and then replicate the same with the new ones)

Here an advice for the future: If you plan to apply a mod always copy the corresponding system files onto your internal or external sd card prior to replacing them.

Is there any option to select the rom and kernel only for backup without the apps bcoz its taking too much of space

for backup.. no but for restore yes.. its will just bout 1 GB.. dont u have that much space on internal or external storage ?
but y do u want to do a backup of a messed up rom?
first fix the issue and then do the backup

Yeah its not messed up completely. I am slowly recovering my files to maintain good battery backup. Once i fixed it then i will make a backup.

I've used the rec. App and its made zero differance to my batt. You should make a backup ,b4 you add stuff like this so you can just go back

ROM Restore[Back-up]

Ok, so I have been attempting to Flash ROM to Doomed Froyo. I keep hearing to Nandroid Back up.
So I go into ROM Manager and then Back up current ROM being ClockworkMod.
When I visit Manage & Restore Back ups there's no Back up files. I'm beginning to concern myself that it's not backing up! If I go to my File Manager and rummage through ClockworkMod there's no Backup folder or such of that sort.
Am I doing something wrong here? Or is the back up ROM pulled in CWM?
CWM is not a ROM
Sent from my LG-P925 using xda premium
So my main issue is when I Back up Current ROM it only takes 3 minutes at least to go through rebooting the issue.
I go into ClockworkMod on my SD card and there's no Backup folder containing my 'Backup'
I need small bits of help, what am I doing wrong?
-Should I manually make the 'backup' folder?

I never claimed CWM was a ROM -__________-
I proposed asking if I could find my backup via the CWM Reboot?
I can't seem to find a backup folder in Clockwork Mod. I am not understanding this Nandroid and backing up a current ROM.

Are you looking on the external sdcard? That's where it all gets stored. It also be that you need to manually boot into cwm and do your business that way. Our port may not be fully compatible with rom manager yet.

How do I flash ROM and Kernel flashed on a fresh partition?

I'm using Slim ICS 3.2 but I want a clean install, I've gone through so many Roms so I don't want any other file conflicts.
DamianGTO written a guide for a superclean installation
http://damiangto.emc2production.org/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=213
but you have to register in order to see it, and I respect his copyrights.
Alternatively transfer essentials to computer from your internal sd card>>>factory reset and wipe internal sd card>>>Attach to computer and only transfer back your nandroid backup (you still need this incase something goes wrong) and the rom zip...
Go to recovery wipe data/factory reset>>>wipe cache>>>wipe dalvik>>>mounts and storage>>>format system+cache+datadata+data (I dont wipe boot and you need sdcard)>>>Flash rom
That should give you a very clean install
Cleaner if you clear up your exsd if you have one

First dl. Your rom to sd (don't move it from your download section, this is your internal SD)
Just follow the steps, 3 posts up,but as he said DO NOT WIPE SD-CARD, doesn't matter if u wipe boot nothing bad will happen.remember to also wipe dalvik cache.
After wipe, install your rom and essentials(needed on slim rom) then let it boot.if u restore apps with titanium b. Then only restore app, not app+data otherwise u might have some apps fc
Hope it helped
Ps.
Damiangto is banned from a lot of sites because he violates open source rules and won't give up his source codes
Even though he uses other people codes (kernel codes)

You have deleted all your pictures music etc on your SD card. Including the rom that you were meant to or have already flashed. Also you may have deleted your backups and possibly your nandroid.
If you haven't flashed flashed yet ensure you make a nandroid backup and transfer the rom you wish to flash onto your sd card.

[Q][Solved] swapping two galaxy note

hi there, got two galaxy notes at home, one is mine one is my GF's
hers got a scratch and she's very sad about it. since i don't mind that much i am willing to swap our devices.
what's the best way of doing it now?
i'm sporting a rooted and paranoided rom, she's on stock.
just rooted her's with philz latest kernel, i'm currently backing her phone up
will it work if i just swap the sdcards and perform a restore on both phones?
i'll just have then to swap internal sd cards using a pc isn't it?
thanks guys.

I think there'll be data corruption as it's between stock and cm based as they're different frameworks, most things should be ok, but I think some apps will not restore ok. It might be easier to do a titanium backup of data and just restore that rather than setting etc.
Much the same with sd card as the mount points are different.

well, i tried to backup on an external SD her phone but it was too small for the task so i just made the backup on the internal memory of the phone.
now i saved all the content of her internal memory on my pc and am about to do the same with my own.
i will try to copy then my own note's data on her note and vice versa then restore the backups.
would that not overwrite any framework?

The framework is built in to the rom, so not over writable. To do a safe transfer make your new phone cm based then you can safely transfer. If your gonna leave it as tw, then it won't work.

So long as you have safe kernel in the one you're restoring to it should be fine. That being said, it's likely you'll have to perform full wipes to have secure boot up between cm based and Touchwizz.

got it done. it worked flawlessly to port the stock to the other phone, just had some headache with mediascanner but solved it removing external sd card
the other move was a lil more painful becouse i forgot to copy the right backup... so had to flash everything again. lucky me i had a titanium backup laying around...
Good news mate, well done.

restoring with titanium backup (solved)

hi guys,
I have done a factory reset but before that i backed up my apps on my sd card, after reinstalling titanium i cant find any of the backed up apps after hitting the restore button. Any solution to this maybe?
got it now, needed to set the backup folder!
Please mark the thread as solved.

You can even restore the apps from within CWM Recovery!
Just make sure you create the appropriate .ZIP on Titanium Backup (Batch / Recovery Mode / Create "Update.zip" from app+data backups)
Cheers!

[UPDATE][RECOVERY] AGAT Recovery tRec_v0.3.6 05/05/13

My thanks and credits to:
Shabbypenguin, Garwynn, inteloper and Talustus from dream team for all the help I've got and for making this possible.
I know we have fully working recoveries already and I made this just to learn the process and for the future if I'm not that lucky any more and don't have amazing devs like Shabbypenguin on the same device.
I still have a lot to learn but this is first step I made in that direction.
Here is my recovery tRec_v0.3.6 that has been used for quite some time on E4GT.
It has been compiled with great help from devs mentioned above with CM10.1 for our phones.
The mount points have been fixed thanks to Dees_Troy from TWRP team.
Now back ups are saved in correct location and can be accessed with apps like stock "My Files".
AGAT_Recovery_tRec_v0.3.6.tar
AGAT_Recovery_tRec_v0.3.6.zip
So far I was able to back up, restore, flash zips etc.
It looks like I'm a good student and it works.
I have tried zip file and it works.
Tar should work fine with ODIN but I didn't test it.
I'm using heimdall to flash recovery.img.
Neat! Post some screenshots if you can.

Pictures, whatever... Just curious on how it differs visually from the other recoveries. Or if it has features like TWRP that I can wipe partitions as I want or whatever...

It based on CWM recovery.
Have did some changes and edits long ago to make it work with GS2.
Small updates and edits and we got new OS dropping.
So it's somewhat modified and edited CWM.
Been using your recovery and kernel on wife's E4GT for quite some time. Excited for your stuff here.

Yes. Sorry for the unclear statement. My device memory says it's low and I don't understand how that can be. Backup failed.. My sd card is fine. Can I back up to my sd card?

I havent flashed it yet, but if its based off of CWM there should be an option to "create backup to external memory" right before you execute the backup. But im kinda puzzled on why that would mess with your internal memroy. Are u currently running a TW ROM? or are u on one of the Alpha builds of CM/AOKP?

You device shows 0.92 GB free space
and back up of this phone is about 3.5-3.6 GB.
So you have 1/3rd of needed space for back up.

According to you first screen shot, externalsd isn't mounting.. So there's an issue right there. I'll flash it over and test.
Also, even if your backup failed, you need to use an explorer and check from root /data/media and see if you have a clockworkmod folder with a partial backup. Just delete it since you know it failed. (partials will still be written on a fail)
@agat - I ran a few lines for @shabbypenguin earlier and you may want to get with him on the mount points.
ls -l /storage/emulated/legacy - gives - /mnt/shell/emulated/0, which isn't read properly. So users won't see the files under /data/media without an explorer. Seems to be common with CWM and the S4. It thinks the sdcard is /storage/emulated/legacy.
Shabby can explain it a lot better than I can.
:edit: Just saw your reply Agat. I know Garwynn's recovery is resolved and if you've been working with him and Shabby, I'm sure yours is as well. Only open issue I'm aware of is exfat.
Thanks guys. Backup on sd card complete. Just can't figure out how I used up all my device storage space.

Just used stock "My Files" app and was able to navigate to both internal and external /clockworkmod/backup folders.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean it's read properly an I need explorer.
I can see and access both folders on my PC and with "My Files" app on phone.
