[Q] samsung galaxy note n7000 internal sd repartition - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
I've flashed my samsung galaxy note n7000 to the slim bean 2.7 (great rom, many thanks to kravind and his crew), works a treat!
However, I'm wondering if I could to the following: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...4#post31579304
I bascially would like to repartition the internal sd (11gb) to merge it into system memory, so I have 64gb external sd and 12gb internal memory. Have any tried this or can see any issues with doing this with slim bean 2.7 rom (conflicting kernal etc. etc)
Any comments is appreciated.

Link is not working, would like to try it myself.

[Q] Galazy Tab 7" can't format internal memory

I've been trying out a couple different roms on my Tab and I've run into an issue where if I revert back to stock my internal memory is only reporting as 1.85 gig. I've tried the ext to rfs scripts to try and format the memory as well as the built in recovery. No go. Anyone have a similar problem and maybe a fix?

[Q] Regarding ICS and external SD

Hi,
I have a Galaxy note, I rooted and everything and put myself on the ICS stunner rom, its a wicked rom, love the tablet mode
BUT
the external SD is mounted to EMMC and its messing EVERYTHING up, the stock player can't access my music and i don't really want to use power amp or winamp.
Is there any way to fix this aside from using internal memory.
I have tried changing the information of the command prompts but its not making a difference
Thanks so much for any help
James

[Q] reinstall stock rom

i have a galaxy ace gt s5830. i Have a very bad internal memory problem. i have just 7 mb remaining. i have cleared the cache using root explorer, app2sd, moved all my apps except whatsapp to the sdc card using link 2 sd. but still no solution. i read in another thread that even if we move apps to the sd card dalvik cache will still be used and be full. I do not know how to create a partition. anyway now all i can think of is reinstalling gingerbread 2.3.6 ddkq8 on the ace. I have a stock rom but rooted. how do i reinstall 2.3.6 again and will this clear my internal memory till i can think of what to do next?
If you are rooted , I take it you have CWM installed you can use INT2EXT to move everything to your sd card . Someone may correct me if I'm wrong , look here >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1477996&highlight=format+sd+card
yaa you can reinstall stock gb 2.3.6 DDKQ8 and can use custom kernel like..PSN kernel as this kernel itself is a battery extender kernel and contain memory mod too...so the bigger problem of our ace of battery and memory can be solved by this kernel and the plush point is that we can stay as possible as we want to stock one but make sure you have second partition in your sd card...

Fix for Android phones running low on internal memory (without rooting)
The first, simplest and safest step is to delete dumpstate/logcat files.
Dumpstate, logcat files are stored on the /data/log partition that, unless you root the phone, you and none of the apps you install will have access to.
The following method does not require you to root the phone or install any apps and will probably free up more memory that any other method.
Method:
1. Dial *#9900# - This will bring up the following screen - Sysdump
2. Hit the 'Delete dumpstate/logcat' button. Hit OK on the confirmation dialog.
3. Scroll to the end of the screen and hit 'Exit'
That's it!
I've seen about 800MB freed the first time I used this.
As a next step I'd recommend the 'Clean Master' free app to manage your cache, data, moving files to SD card etc
thanks buddy

Hey ashrafsabee
I followed the instructions given by you and WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE....MY PROBLEM OF LOW STORAGE SPACE/INTERNAL MEMORY WAS SOLVED...
I was also getting the same message of low internal memory since 3-4 months and was really pissed off and suffering - as i couldnt update any software or icouldnt install any thing and the phone was lagging like anything....and my free internal memory used to be 60-70- MB only.
But in 1 sec after doing as u told the free memory increased to '''''''''''''1.45GB'''''''''' !!!!!!
Phone is running lightening fast!!!
STRONGLY RECOMMENDED TO ALL FRIENDS WHO ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM ...CAN BREATHE EASILY WITH MY PHONE NOW
KUDOS TO U BUDDY AND THANKS A TON.....!!!!!!:good::good::good::good::good::good::good::good:
Thanks mate. As per the instructions it has also made only 100 Mb free for my phone. Can i do the same task to get more memory.Kindly confirm

[Q] Memory swap possible?

Is it possible to have a memory swap in our device? I do have a GT-i9305T flashed the latest sentinelROM 5.0 and tried all those memory swap (internal storage to external storage) that I've google but without a luck none of them is working and all I've searched were for s3 devices but still no luck. Anyone here already done this thing since I wanted to install many HD games as 16gb is not enough? Hope someone knew the answer as I badly need this one, been searching for a couple of hours now :-/. TIA
I use an app called "FolderMount" to move the files from an app to the external sd card. You only need root, I didn't use any memory swap mode. Try this app, it works fine on my s3 i9300 4.3 omega rom

Anyways thank you for taking your time answering my query as I've appreciated it a lot but still I'm open with any further solution with this problem if anyone knows. Thanks again
