Homemade Fastboots
I can no longer host his project. Slimming down bandwidth usage and storage space on Batakang means cutting down on my projects. I hope this tool was useful while it lasted. I have no issues with someone uploading new ones and using the scripts, I just can't host them or make new ones.
Here is a BlankSlate.zip of the Homemade fastboot. Contains one without the system.img and boot.img required for it. Insert those into the extracted .zip and you have your own Homemade fastboot. Good luck and enjoy your RAZR i.

Inside each of these is a special fastboot that flashes them in 100MB pieces. Running the batch uses it

81.5.34002 is a leak, its only 9MB difference but includes a newer kernel.
Have you noticed any important differences between the different variations, or is it just language and locale settings that are different?

Thanks. Do you reckon we can expect this as an OTA update sometime? This is my first moto device so not sure how they deal with this stuff.

Power + Volume Up.
Or better yet, be booted and enable USB Debugging. Then you can use ADB command.
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
And if it's not too late for your test build, please pull it for us.

Today I've received an OTA that updates my system from 871.110.12002.XT890.Vivo.en.BR to 871.110.12011.XT890.Vivo.en.BR. Can I find any changelog?
Pulling 81.5.39001.XT890.Retail.en.GB firmware for Retail Great Britain devices now... later on tonight I can make a home-made fastboot.
What is the difference between the EU and GB firmwares?
what is the insecured kernel?
what exactly makes it insecure...?

You must be rooted, have nand unlocked and be running a 2.x radio. Follow dadicus' http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=760651 guide for details on how to perform these steps.
Perform a nandroid backup of your current ROM, in case you change your mind or encounter issues.
Apply the zip via Clockwork Recovery. It has not been tested with any other recovery.
If you are coming from another completely stock ROM (i.e. Sense 2.1 or 2.2), you may not have to wipe data. I obviously recommend wiping data (since it will eliminate any possibly bad/stale configuration), but the update script will not do so automatically during installation. Use your best judgement to determine what works best for you.

Autostart/u2nl did not load? I get 3g activity but no apps/web seem to actually work where they did before. I will try reloading autostart/u2nl in a bit.
Edit: autostart is not listed in superuser

updated download link with my current modifications and added back the apps i removed, download link is updated.

All a crook has to do is take ANY stolen CDMA phone into a phone flashing store and get it working. Actually, I think you can take any CDMA phone and dial *22807 and have it activated on your cricket account.
thanks for the info, ill try to talk to kingklick and see if he can incorporate that into his kernel for wifi teathering (i think its kernel related at least)!!
As far as wifi/3g ill have to look at that, i dont use wifi at all so easily missed that

Im sorry to hear that
As far as stolen phones, as stated previously, if someone wants to get it activated there are many other means to activate it, all of which have to be done at the hardware level (PST Settings), this rom just sets it up for people who legitimately run on cricket to have the correct settings.
My suggestion for you though would be to contact your local law enforcement agency if you suspect somebody activated on cricket and to report that information to them, so they can follow up with a subpoena to see if the ESN is activated and registered on their network and help track down those criminals!!
Good luck and hope everything works out for you.
token don't forget the metropcs folks!!!
possibly flash the v3/3.5 fix after installing your rom or that would be too easy? actually I did a wipe than tried your custom rom and wifi wouldn't work???
EDIT: I flashed the rom of your roms orgin than changed the necessary settings in qpst as per drunkenmojo's original guide followed by metroapn than a your metro v3 flash and everything is ALL good on my INCREDIBLE!
Thanks again for the original metroflash!
I hope you are able to continue development of this rom. My son is wanting to get an Incredible for Christmas, but he is on Cricket. He loves my phone and can't wait to get one and this will help him get it going.

Also, when I'm done using the tethering and shut it off, it kicks me off of 3G and I have to reset the phone to use 3G again.

File still uploading?
I am trying to download the file. Each time I do when I try and open it and get a error messaging using winrar. I try and download again and each time it's a different file size. I think the person is still uploading the file as we speak.

Known bug. Can't confirm signal indicator, though.
Thanks to Dees_Troy getting TWRP working on this device, I have made an easy way to root your Sprint One and disable /system write protection.
Q&AWhat does this contain?
Everything necessary to install the latest SuperSU and supporting files (su binary included)
Install latest busybox in recovery
A ported wp_mod.ko module for this kernel
A script to start wp_mod.ko
A modified boot.img - insecured (allows for remounting of /system to rw when in Android), enabled USB debugging by default, and added busybox run-parts (alows scripts to run during boot).
What is /system write protection?
HTC now keeps you from writing to /system through the kernel. When you try to modify anything in /system, you'll get a reboot. This cannot be fixed until there is source available, so this method by flar2 works wonderfully.
How is this different from this method?
TWRP's method is great, but it doesn't disable /system rw protection. This means that you will still experience issues when modifying /system when booted into Android (deleting/adding files, updating SuperSU binary, etc). I would recommend my flashable .zip method!
Can I use this if I already installed SuperSU from TWRP?
Yes, you can flash this with no issues.

What a champion among men. Fine a bit longer nap when you're done. And the good gruel!
All jokes aside, thanks a lot for all of this. Now I'm prepped for Fridays release.
How'd you get into devving anyways? Did you have previous programming knowledge or just dive right in? I really wanna get into it and I'm very knowledgeable about computers and android but I've haven't dealt with coding much(save for a few lessons on codecademy) nor have looked much into development for android. Is it difficult to say add a new setting to the stock settings or to bake in/remove an app that wasn't there or needs to be removed?
Sorry if I'm taking up your time I'm just really interested in getting into it. I've been running other peoples ROMs from lgoptimusog>htcevoOG>htcevo3d>galaxye4gt>evolte>galaxys3 not to mention tablet ROMs and I just want to make my own tailored to me.

Thanks for clarifying. The FAQ question asking "how is this different from the directions for TWRP?" had me thinking this was an alternative not something that works hand in hand. Perhaps adding that clarity might help others looking in here.

Yeah, you can. If you have TWRP installed, you can flash one of the stock rooted ROMs I put out (they have this built-in), or if you want to just flash this, it's basically the same as stock Odex ROM. Your call, but I'd hop on a deodex ROM, all mods will be done for deodex ROMs.

Installed and working ok
Installed on my Nexus 4 and everything works ok. Installed Banks' latest Gapps too. TWRP still working.
One weird thing is there's a red square flashing around the edge on some screens.
Have to go out so didnt have time to mess around any more.

thx.
That's because this is a engineering build.
I can make a userdebug build next time.

Just edit build.prop (/system/build.prop) look for ro.build.type=eng and change it to ro.build.type=userdebug

FAQ:
Will this fix my <non molly device>?
No, this rom is only for mollys, it will brick any other device.
Will OTAs work after flashing this?
Yes, that is the purpose of this
Do I need to be on a certain bootloader to use this?
No, it includes the original bootloader.
Do I need a custom recovery to flash this?
Yes, the stock recovery will not accept update zips that are not signed by google
Is this rooted?
No, the stock rom is not rooted, neither is this
My device won't finish booting after flashing.
If you were not originally on the same rom, you may need to do a factory reset to finish the process. Android does not like rom downgrades without a factory reset

Awesome! Thanks! I needed a way to restore my OTA abilities after rooting and doing some testing for someone. Did you make these yourself? And how? If you don't mind me asking. I didn't think dd would work without root.

All custom recoveries have root by default, my ADT1 isnt rooted, I did all my work though CWM.

Thanks! Do you have to have a USB keyboard in order to move around in CWM on the ADT-1?

Yes you need a usb keyboard to use CWM currently, there may be an update in the future to enable the dev button on the back to select in cwm like it does in fastboot. Until if/when that happens you either need a keyboard or to do everything manually via adb.
I don't have a keyboard however, I did all my work/testing with only adb.

Thanks for the articulate follow-up. I started to do things manually via ADB. :good:
anyone can post a complete lpx13D CWM backup , stock recovery or at least system.img
I've messed up my ADT1 and it can't seem to take the image I've found yet
@TheManii Are there any custom roms or anything like that for the ADT-1? I just got one in the mail from I assume google. I'm ready to begin , but I don't honestly know what people are interested in seeing on this device I have a madcatz mojo using all the adt-1 binaries except audio running cm-12 and android tv from this device. So if anyone is interested in that let me know please.

Hello UD,
There isn't any custom roms for the ADT-1 (So yours would be the first)
I for one would love to see a more recent build than the last OTA (LPX13D - OCT 29th) There have been rumors that we'd get the final Android Lollipop but nothing has surfaced.
How much work is involved in rolling an AOSP+ADT-1 Binaries+Android TV dependencies?
Cheers Rob.

It's possible https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Og-GDeRhJno but I could not get all the apps correctly working the main one being playstore , but I will try again look at the android build number and build date. I basically made a google apps package based on the adt-1 this is before I had one so possibly now I can get us an aosp 5.0.2 base working the Mojo in terms of hardware is similar to the adt-1 and for me to boot 5.0 on the mojo I needed adt-1 updated tegra 4 binaries so this shouldn't be hard at all once I work out the playstore issues.

Wow that is really impressive work, The current build on the ADT-1 is flaky at best for me, i'd love to see how a more recent build performs and if it prevents me from having to do a daily reboot.
Cheers Rob.
@Unjustified Dev just got mine on Tuesday. are you thinking releasing sources on your team github. i saw that a device and kernel repository was created but they are empty.
PS: nice to talk to you again been a while.
