i am getting 32GB class 10 for my note. is there anyway that i can use my external microSD as my internal microSD so that i have 32GB space instead of 11GB?
There is a thread in which the thread head taught us about making internal card apps games an all move to Sd and vice-versa.
And what you are asking is next to impossible.i have never seen anythg like this in xda.

There is away to repartition your internal storage to include external, it has performance decrements, but if you want to try it its available. Fraid you'll have to search though.

I'm sorry but why would you ever need that? )

There is a faster way that is more easily reversible. Just search "directory bind" on xda.
The app will allow you to bind pairs of directories. Meaning I can move the folder with the huge game data files onto the external SD, and while mounted and bonded to the old directory for apps to read.

I have no experience using one, but they are indeed out there. I have seen many posts of them being used on our Cappys. Plus, ATT has them on there site under "Captivate Accessories". You should be fine. The thing I would look into is the "class" the ATT one is a class 2. Hope this helps.
I have been using a 32 gig sd card in my captivate for about 8 months now. Works fine.
The 16 gig SD card is internal and can't be swapped out. On the other hand, Captivates are capable of handling an additional 32 gigs with an external microSD card for a total of 48 gigs.

can i use 32gb sd card on my phone??
Yes!!

Ya,but it should at least be a class 6...Else your Ace is going to slow down...
Insert witty sentence here
yes
yes
I have a 32 GB class 10 Sd Card and it's not working fine Maybe it's just my phone but I've heard of people (besides me) having problems with it.
Dunno if it's about the size tho, phone description says you can use one.
I've acquired a 32Gb SD card (class 6) for my Galaxy Note (N7000) but I'm wondering if it could be a good idea to partition it into 2/3/4 logical 'drives' og keep it as one ?
The reason for splitting it up could/should be faster indexing on the phone (I'm not sure but may be one big 32G with a lot of files takes more time to scan/index ?)`also the sector size is probably bigger,'wasting' space with many smaller files (like .mp3 music files ..)
Let me hear your best recommendations or experiences.
Thanks :good:
I for one want the largest fastest available and currently have a 32G class 10. My next will be a 64G which should be faster. I would recommend class 10 and leave it at one partition. I would myself get frustrated with multiple drives and having to set different defaults for different apps.

Good point - thanks:good: - but isn't max external SD for Galaxy Note 32Gb ?
I have 32 GB class 4 and it isn't slowing down the phone one bit.
So I'd say you're gonna be fine.

What could have been the problem where most users here had internal memory or chip failure? The rom we used or hardware instability?

I know you have been very helpful in the p1000 thread, but I'm not trolling here, please don't bash me.
Actually does anyone feel that it is a manufacturing internal memory failure or we are just bunch of unlucky ppl who happened to have bought a tab with malfunctioning internal memory?
Sent from my Nokia 3310
Not bashing you. But just disagree with the estimation you put.
I think it more likely some percentage of units have chips that are bad.
Also, do they fail within warranty period?
In manufacturing it is not that easy to weed out bad parts.
Btw, there are threads talking about using external sd only.
Have you tried that? Apparently with class 10 cards, the tab performs relatively well.

your not alone
your not the only one with that problem,as for me i just successfully recovered 210mb of my internal sd card, ddnt knew much of what i was doin so i ended up with a messed up tab,but cheer up,theres always hope for those who find ways

Ya I read around about using the external sd as internal memory. However I found ppl saying that some custom roms do not run well, so I just leave my tab aside and find the time to learn how to use the toolkit. Thanks for the info.

Was wondering if this card like this will work in my Nook HD before I order one. Seems to be a pretty good price I think.

Great price on Amazon! Picked up the exact same card last week and am using it in my Nook HD+. I have been running CWM10.1 PureSD on it for a week now without any issues. Has booted up from the card every time so far.
I've got that card in my Nook, no problems so far
Thanks everybody. Got one ordered. I know locally they want much more.

Same here, no issues whatsoever with bookbokan's hybrid install.
I just saw this on Amazon and am so happy to find this thread here! Just purchased. I was needing a bigger card for backups and storage, woohoo.
Forgive my noobness
I just ordered one of these as well. Assuming I use this as a CM bootdisk do I still have the rest of the card as available storage?

I am using this same card to run the CM 10.2 SD card version. Works really well I do still get reboots every so often but performance is good.

If you mean you are installing CM on SD, yes it uses all of the card once installed.
