I'm using Zeus ROM v7 and all of my music players (default android music player, n7 player, XPlay, doubleTwist) stops after each song. When it stops, I have to wake up the phone (pushing the power button for once) and it starts playing again with the next song. I'm not using auto killer apps. I think it's about CPU's sleeping thing. I tried increasing min. CPU freq but it didn't work.
There is a lot of people having this problem but there is not any suggestion to solve it. Does anyone knows anything about it?
Backup your apps with titanium and reflash

Is it just me? The problem is the music player autokills itself without saving its play position, no matter if I use home or back buttons.
I hear music then press pause, home button (should only suspend the app), do something else... some hours later I want to resume playing music, but the player has gone to its initial state.
Am I doing something wrong?
Never had this issue (and I use it all the time) you can try another player like doubletwist or music
Firmware issue
I didn't have this issue with the shipped firmware (JF3). Now I'm on JPM but had this with all Froyo builds.
Player version is 1.1.1.
I don't want another player...

YES!!!
wtf? never had this issue before. It's f'king annoying...
has anyone found a workaround?
I usually use my music player under a constant use prior to NY avid obsession with last.FM. as of lately I've found myself in some situations, via Removing the battery which I don't have to do often, but my issue this time was me keeping my music player running for a few hours. After I viewed something off the net I came back to cancel out my song selection and the player was still 'active' in the notification bar. I had tried to open it from my Simi Folder and it would just go to a plain black screen and ask 'Force Close or Wait?' I'd gone with force closing it 2 times to reset it and see if it would load again, sadly it was reoccurring in the same issue. What the heck should I do? I'm lost. [ROOTED]

An update,
I've not reset the phone or anything.
The music player is still setting in the notification tab

Im not sure if I understand fully , but when I pause it and go to the notification bar , I then have the ability to close the music palyer off.
No, it was when I had kept the player on for about 2h Max it had began to act up when I went into the Music Player itself.
The stand alone player had Force Closed itself but if the Notification Bar were to be pulled down it'd show the Music Player Navigation still open, but you couldn't use it, via Fast Toward, Rewind & so forth.

Hello,
I got Xperia X8 with Gingerbread in it, and I use Walkman as my main Music player.
My problem is that when I play music then change to homescreen or enter Facebook or anything else the music stops, and it won't play in background.
It also happens with the other music players.
Please Help !!
Rom ? Music Player ?

Maybe you don't have enough RAM to keep the music player in memory.

Due to lack of Ram , the Android system kills your music player to free some. Uninstall all your useless applications which might be consuming a lot of resources. Also opt for a light music player and a light launcher

The OP might be using a task killer and when he uses it to kill memory it kills his walkman palyer...
I've tested out a few different music players on android and most of them have a lag when skipping songs(like a 1/2 second delay). Anyone know an android music player that can skip songs without a delay and also have an ability to sync iTunes playlists?
Have you tried power amp? I used it on my other androids with no issues, I like the stock music player of the one, although power amp has some great features, still haven't tried it on this phone.

Power amp isn't good. I just tried it and when I try to quickly skip a song, the same current song restarts and then skips.

Has anybody run into the issue of being able to pause music with the inline button on their headphones, but not able to resume music?
I'm not using the stock Samsung headphones, but on my Note 3 I didn't have a problem pausing/resuming music with these headphones.
Yeah, for me the music app rarely responds to play/pause and is inconsistent about loading at all. Very frustrating.

I'm getting this issue using Google Play Music as well. I think I might have remembered this issue when I was using my Note 3. I might try disabling the music app and see if that fixes it!
I have similar issues with the controls... e.g. I'll be watching kodi and press the play/pause button... the video will stop and my music app (which isn't even open) will immediately start playing. Pressing the button again will pause the music and so on... like kodi doesnt exist.... dont seem to have the issue with pandora though... is there any particular software running that tells the inline controls to only support music or whatever? Can it be configured?
