Ooooh, not heard of that before.
Keep us posted if you find one !!

The Asus Transformer series was designed to use a custom 40-pin connector to attach the keyboard dock, which house a battery pack.
The Nexus 7 was never designed with similar functionality, however that 40 pin connector on the Transformer is just a custom USB, so maybe a similar keyboard could designed to hook up to the mini-usb of the N7, although it wouldn't be as seamless as on the Transformer.

You could try this...works great on my nexus.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007G51X6C/ref=mp_s_a_4?qid=1343797977&sr=8-4
It will probably charge slow, but should get the job done.

I have one of these on order: New Trent 12000mAh External Battery
It also has a 2.1 amp port.
I have new Trent 7k , works good ,dual USB with one port 2.1amp.

I have had the 8200mAh PhoneSuit Primo Power Core since I got the original Galaxy Tab when it launched.
Very high quality product, but a bit expensive when compared to the New Trent line. I would probaly consider the New Trent products if I were in the market now.
I can verify this this one works with my Nexus 7/Vita/etc.

Zagg Sparq
I use this and absolutely love it! http://www.zagg.com/accessories/zaggsparq.php just as an fyi though you have to use the bottom usb to charge the N7. which is awesome because then I can charge my phone on the top one! And right now they are doing a promo where you get a pair of really nice headphones for free!
Not compatible with N7
Currently Amazon USA says this:
Note:
Astro3 is not compatible with Asus Tablets!!

I suspect they are referring to the Asus Transformer because they use a non standard voltage. I use an Anker Astro3 10,000mA pack and it charges the N7 just fine.

Agreed.... I too have the Anker Astro3 10000 and it works great.
Solidly built and has three separate charging points AND a switch to change one of the charging points to either 9v or 12v. This makes this charger also suitable for anyone with a ASUS Transformer TF101/201/300/700.
I use it to charge all my phones and tablets.
Here is mine.

I have the Sparq 2.0 and I would never recommend it. It does not hold a charge.it sits on my desk since it is a 2 port charger it gets some use.
I have received a Cager B030 from Dealextreme to charge my Nexus 7. However, the Nexus 7 does not charge on neither ports of the device (1 A , 2.1 A)
I can charge all other devices (S3, Note, Asus Transformer) but not Nexus 7.
What does Nexus 7 look for when charging ? isn't 2.1A enough ?
http://dx.com/p/cager-b030-12500mah...-slot-5-adapters-for-iphone-ipad-black-156842
Thanks.
ok; I found the solution here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1823377
I have:
The Gum Max : which at 10400mAh and 2.1A output charges the nexus nicely, a couple of times
and
Promini 4000 which is only 4000mAh and only puts out 1A but charges my N7 perfectly albeit only about a 70% charge. It's a really nice portable solution if you just need a little bit of extra time
http://amzn.com/B003ZBZ64Q
Been using that for a few months. Plan on using it on flight to Australia in a couple weeks. Should be good for 2+ charges. I got that one during a promotion that included a free 5000 mah. Should be enough to charge my nexus once, vita and 3ds both a couple times. Plenty of entertainment for 20 hours in the air.

Pogo dock

Is there any word on when a pogo dock will be available for the Nexus 10? I bought one of these things to replace my HP Touchpad and I absolutely love the wireless charging stand for it. I need something similar for the N10!

There has been no announcement of an actual dock, only a charger. The Nexus 7 is also made by ASUS, so there may be different manufacturing delays(I assume this is the problem because the alternative is that they are intentionally holding them back for some reason)
The Galaxy Nexus Docks were delayed by 6 months, due to them not actually working with JellyBean. I really don't understand what the problem could have been though, because apart from pogo charging and allowing the homescreens to orient in landscape, they do sod all else.

[Q] Charge cable

Just a question for people who also have the TF700.
Is the charge cable the same of the TF700 or is it a different one?
I'm looking to buy some extra charge cables since i like to have one in my car and also a sync cable at my desk but at the moment it's not easy to find accessoires for the TF701, so i was wondering if the charge cable is the same as the TF700.

No, definitely a different cable. I have not seen them for sale yet. But as always I suspect the Chinese copycats to not be too far behind so they should arrive within the next few weeks. And original.... well, if they would cost less then 5 euro/dollar, sure, anything above that, I'll buy a copy with free shipping.
I guess owners of older transformers ( i have a TF101), will just need TF701 USB cable as the existing Asus Wall Plug should work.
I'll confirm this when i get my hands on a TF701. Hopefully not long now.
Thanks for the info, will wait till i see the cables for the tf701 popup online.

I can confirm this. The charger of the TF101 will work on the TF701 but you need a different cable because the connector on the Tf701 is different compared to the TF101
Charging cable is definitely different but the wall adapter looks to be the same. I'm using my tf700 adapter with the new cable as we speak.

My charger is still in the box, the TF700 charger looks identical and is working fine. Regrettably they changed the connector, at a guess I'd say so you have to buy a new dock.
Just got my TF701 and the platic cover (part that you hold when plugging/unplugging) came off the first time I unplugged it so now I have to be very careful with it.
Still can't find cheap clones of that cable online, hope they pop up soon.
I'm looking for a cord too! My cat just ate mine.
How am I supposed to charge my TF701 now?

The new connector is smaller than the one on TF101. I guess it is because the new connector is USB 3.0 instead of 2.0.

It has the same connector as the Vivo tab.
Maybe you should look on the web for a cable for that because it is much longer on the market.
For example:
http://www.tvc-mall.com/details/OEM...ivoTab-Windows-RT-TF600T-TF810C-1.5M-MCH-967/
or here:
http://www.asusparts.eu/en/Asus-14004-00860000
Thanks for the advice!
No cables anywhere yet
This is bogus, I can't believe they don't have a decent supply of Tf701 proprietary USB cables out yet, WTF.
If anyone's interested I guess you could snatch up a big supply from China and resell them to make some nice bank, aliexpress . Com has a bulk 200 for $820.

QI charging

Can anyone confirm if infact QI charging works ?
In many reviews no one has spoken about QI charging, MKBHD's video says it does not work with the official QI charger from google.
Has anyone got it to work, or even confirm it has it apart from what the motorola site says.
No QI charging is a deal breaker for me

According to marques brownlee on YouTube, the wireless charging did NOT work with his nexus 5 charging pad. So don't know if the N6 needs a new charging pad or wireless charging was not included. But I recall moto website listing wireless charging as one of the features.
It's in the spec on the Play Store, so I'm surprised he said it doesn't work. Has there been some kind of update the the Qi standard?
Yes, I've seen it work just fine on another vid.
I think, clearly that small nexus 5 charging pad just isn't big enough for the coil inside the Nexus 6.
it's working in this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXA6mpIsZTY&list=UUDt0iwnK2sPXaOyZhVmXIQw#t=258
It supports qi charging (look at the specs on the motorolla website).
This shows the charging coil on the back of the Nexus 6.

It works I just used it on my LG WCD-100 charger.
Here you go in case you don't believe me
Hope it works on the nexus charger. Google support page notes the nexus 6 - https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/6073618?hl=en
Guys id you read the original post i dud say apart frim where its written in the spec sheets.
MKBHD said he could not get it to work with the offical qi charger from google, i don't care what the specs say, he could not get it to work.
Can anyone confirm with a device and google QI charger that it works.
tried it last night and it does work with the Nexus 2013 Wireless Charger. It took me a while to find the spot on the back of the Phone.

The NFC and wireless charging receiver is a little lower than the middle of the device.... taking up the space around the "EXUS" on the back. Wireless charging DOES work, but there doesn't seem to be any magnets/magnetic discs around the receiver in the phone to help align the device on the charger.

Kinda of good news but when you placed the Nexus 6 onto the official Nexus wireless charging pad (attached) did it grip or slide off? Some pics would be great

magnets don't do anything unfortunately-
Part of the discrepancy lies with the placement of the coils in the Nexus 6. Since they're so low on the device, you can't center it on most wireless charging pads. For example, if you center it on the Samsung charging pad (which, since it's almost the same size, is probably what you'd do) it won't work, but slide the phone up about an inch and it works fine. This is probably what caused a lot of people to think that the Nexus 6 didn't work with most qi chargers. They simply didn't move it around until they found the sweet spot.
As for the Nexus Charger... well, it works, but since the magnets are FAR too weak to hold the Nexus 6 (unlike the Nexus 5, with its strong grip), it's really hard to get it just right so that it stays on the charger in the correct position. In short, while it works, the Nexus Charger is probably not your best bet. (Hopefully, they'll come out with a new model specifically designed for the N6.) Honestly, the one I've found to be easiest to find the sweet spot on, is the Nokia DT-910. Since it's a stand-up charger, the Nexus 6 fits perfectly, and automatically lines up just right. With all others, just remember that the sweet spot (which should be centered on the charger) is just BELOW the bottom of the volume rocker.

Nexus 6 Wireless Charging

So I know that people all say the 6 supports Qi wireless charging but in a youtube video review by Marques Brownlee, he said that the 6 won't charge when placed on a nexus wireless charging pad. I am wondering if anyone who's already got his 6 and a nexus wireless charging pad can try it out?
Yes I'd love to hear how it works, and about the magnet location.

I have a Powerbot, it works. Seems to be right in the center is where the spot is.
Edit: Actually it seems to be a little bit more towards the bottom. Here is a picture.
It works just fine lb by tylt vu and other generic chargers. It feels like it charges super slow though (I know it's s huge battery, but still feels extra slow). The quick charging is quite impressive though.
Woohoo! I have a DT-910 (the real model number that was incorrectly written as BT-910 in the screen shot). I was really worried that it wouldn't work with the N6 being so much taller. Unlike most wireless chargers, this stand-up dock won't exactly let you slide the phone down until you find the sweet spot. Thank you Moto/Google for thinking about this and placing the coils a bit below center!
There's another OP (4 actually) about this already please search before posting and yes qi works.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/help/qi-charging-t2941516
The charging coil is lower than one would expect: https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/6102554?hl=en&ref_topic=3415470
I have the Nexus 5 wireless charging dock. Only downside i can see is that either there are no magnets/magnetic discs at all, or the curved back greatly diminishes the ability of the magnets in the dock to grab the phone... because there's very little resistance to it. My guess is it's only the magnets being attracted to something else in the phone. Nowhere near as glued to the charger as the Nexus 5 is. Probably the only thing that'll make me want to ditch the Nexus 5's wireless charging puck for something else.

Yeah, my friend got the Nexus 6 (one of the few to place an order) and he says his nexus 7 2013 qi wireless charger still works perfectly. He just has to place it DIRECTLY in the middle.

Fantastic mate! I have the same one (I think), I bought it directly from Google Play to charge my Nexus 5!
On a slightly different note I'm in Europe and my brother is in San Francisco. He is coming to Ireland next week and I want him to bring me a Nexus 6! I know I may run into issues with LTE but is there anything else I should be aware of? He will most likely buy it from T-Mobile in the USA, I think they are normally good in terms of phones not being locked etc.?
All the best,
M
