What version of Cyanogen ? On 7.2 stable buttons backlight does work. If you're on one of the latest nightly consider a downgrade since I think that nobody is mantaining cm anymore for our phone

Last nightly was out for a week ago or something. So someone's doing something.
Op: try to backup all important stuff and then wipe everything except your SD and flash it again.
And like sirpellinor said, you should probably use the stable build if you want to be sure that everything is working.
If you want a nightly I think nightly147 is working properly.

The ICS kernel source has not been released yet for the IncS, so the only choice you currently have is what is in the ARHD zip.
No other option except the stock kernel at present.
Go bug HTC and tell them to release the ICS kernel source already.

Kernel for cyanogenmod 7.2

Hi all
Any recommendations for a kernel for cm 7.2 that gives good battery life and does not break the camera. Apart from stock I mean

I have flashed CM 7.2 latest nightly yesterday and wifi is not working for me, any idea what should I do?
Try a different kernel

Kaijuras kernel breaks the camera for me. With v3 its very choppy and laggy. With v4 it fc's.
Sent from my Incredible S using xda app-developers app
The v4 kernel is not fully compatible with gb it has some ics specific things, I would use the v3 Kernel

Nightlys are just beta versions. They can be buggy, not bootup, havent any sound, fc everywhere an so on. Just unstable.
But they can work flawless too.
Try another nightly or if you want a Bugfree or less rom, download a rc version of Cm.
Am running 7.2 stable

Flashlight Issues.

Flashlight only works on first use after reboot. After that it won't work again until I reboot.
Also not working properly with camera. Sometimes lights subject but never flashes with shutter.
Anyone any suggestions?

What is your ROM??
Besides, most recommend this flashlight: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devuni.flashlight&hl=pl
CM 7.2 running firekernel.
Issues were present before flashing these though.

Btw recommended app does exactly the same. Only works once after a reboot.

@OP: Reflash the rom.
@angelo229: Stock ROM evolution is stock based & all the stock based ROMs have this problem because of the bug in lidroid.

any more ideas?
I posted this over a year ago. Never found a fix in that time. Was on 4.2 AOKP in the end.
Can you try a stock ROM and see if flashlight is fixed?
I no longer use this phone BTW.

Wifi always turning on

A few days ago, my phone fell and got "injured" as hell, the call speaker or whatever it's called, didn't work and I just can't hear any voice in phone calls unless I use the loudspeaker
I flashed a lot of roms but none of them made it work.
When I open WiFi in settings it shows "WiFi turning on" and stays like that forever
The on/off button is untouchable btw

When you take off the back cover I think the WiFi contacts are next to the camera
Are they damaged?

I highly doubt its a kernel related problem. With each ROM, you understand there is a kernel. But when you flash a ROM, another kernel is flashed over unless its like redux which is used by most Sense ROMs. If you flashed a good number of ROMs, both Sense based and AOSP based, then I am inclined to think that it is hardware induced damage. You can try flashing different kernels but i think its hardware related

The kernel from .10 is in dev section. That fixes capacitive issues

If memory serves me right, CM10 requires an AOSP-based kernel, and HTC's newest release is certainly nothing close. That said, I'm surprised you're having an issue running CM10, as I would have imagined their kernel would include a fix for this.
CM hasnt incorporated it into their rom yet. Soooo, cm doesnt have capacitive fix.

Interesting. They're usually pretty big on pushing kernels.
Hey remember when you thought we wouldn't get s-off on the 3D? Lol
