[ThinkTank] Full Flash on Vibrant?

Since the Samsung Vibrant browser has the ability to use plug-ins(like flash lite) would it be possible to Flash 10.1 in place of the flash lite plugin? Developers were able to do this with htc 2.1 phones(and fairly simply too), so it should be able to work on the Galaxy S devices, or any phone that accepts plugins really.
Any thoughts?

I was able to install the Flash 10.1 on my Vibrant and it works pretty good.
Haven't have any problems in loading any flash games or websites.

How were you able to do that? Is there a thread on this elsewhere, or is it something really simple? Please share lol.

+1 on the sharing how you did that. Adobe says its only available on the nx1 running 2.2.

^^^ I had the Adobe Flash APK for 2.1 since I had my HTC Evo.
You can find it here on the HTC Evo Forums or just send me a PM with your email and I'll send it to you.
I installed it on my Galaxy S since I got it.
I'm a noob here so I don't know how to post it here.

I installed it but now my phone won't run any flash sites... adobe flash player 10.1 is in my manage applications so it is installed...

I installed that flash for 2.1 from that other thread you posted the link too. It's not working for me, is there something else I need to do to configure it?

Any real dev wanna give us an answer? i know for a fact that the flash apk that they provided wont work. it only works on HTC devices. A dev needs to modify the apk so it acts as a plugin and installs in the right place.

youtube works with the flash lite on the phone. 10.1 doest work on this phone.... atleast not yet.

The pictures I've seen posted here, could have been working using flash lite that's already installed... I can install it and have it show up in my apps list as installed, and still display things using flash light, but if you go to m.flash.com it will tell you that it's not working. I could be wrong, but I'm guessing that the people that think this is working, it's not really. They are seeing stuff using flash lite.

A done flash 10.2 in market??

I meant to say adobe btw lol . Guys I have searched for adobe on my moto zoom and adobe flash 10.2 came up. It says its a finished version for 2.2 and 2.3 and a beta for honeycomb 3.0. It later says only for 3.0.1 update. I have the 3.0.1 update but when I try to download it says unsuccessful. Anyone else had any Lu k with this. Or would anyone care to try searching and downloading this update. I'm dying for working flash on the xoom as I'm sure everyone else is. Please please let me know your feedback

I just checked and I have flash 10.2.156.12 installed from the market. Have you tried using the web based marketing and installing that way. BTW I had no issues installing flash from the market

AOCP 2.1 ICS Rom

I take no credit for this just thought it would be helpful to stimulate some development for the T mobile Galaxy note.
Id like to thank the DEV's over at AOCP for allowing me to do this write up and use of cross links. they are found here

Again i am not a DEV and just wanted to do a write up to show it is possible.
What you will need
*ATT Galaxy Note SGH-I717 TWRP http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/96
*AOCP http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1773229
* TMobile Modem https://www.onlinefilefolder.com/3sO3MvY67FK1gR
* ICS Gapps http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip
INSTRUCTONS:
1) Install the ATT version of TWRP to your tmobile note. Follow the instructions in the link to install.
2) Create a back up of your current rom which utilizes Tmobiles BOOT.IMG (Note without this back up you will have to get into Download mode and flash boot.img through odin. The file for this is here https://www.onlinefilefolder.com/3sKTF2WTt5njq0 thanks to tomin.fhl for the link.
3) Place files on phone ROM,Gapps,TMobile modem on sd card ( internal sd perferred)
4) Clear everything system, factory reset, cache (note dont clear sd card or you will lose files on your *SD YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED*
5) Flash AOCP 2.1 which is the Icecream Sandwhich build *NOT THE JELLYBEAN BUILD* after flash is finished return to home menu of TWRP
6) From TWRP menu select restore and select the rom with the tmobile boot.img ( now when asked to restore make sure that the only box checked is the BOOT box( if you restore completely you will end up with the ROM you backed up origanlly.
7) Once the boot.img is restored, flash the tmobile modem/radio this will allow you to use data ect. on the rom.
8) Flash the ICS Gapps to allow access to android market
9) Now reboot phone. (note: there is no boot animation. instead there will be just a black screen. Dont freak out and have patience and the Rom will boot up.
CONCLUSION:
what you end up with is a very stable barebones version of stock android ICS with no bloat
*Known Issues*
External Sd is not found for some reason

No problem I would love to build from scratch simply don't have the coding knowledge. That's what's great about Android someone with little experience can try to do something and learn so much in the process. Again the original devs at AOCP are the ones who deserve all credit and even donations maybe we can convince some devs to port to our notes and really get the ball rolling

Also since this is almost aokp don't expect slot of original spen integration I think heard somewhere it has to do with the sensitivity of the screen

Never say never.
In open source android so many times I've seen "won't never happen"
But then of dose.
Where there is a will there's a way.
If some one had asked last week could they get AoCP T-Mobile note. I would have replyed "I don't have that device so I don't intend on building for it, and have no time to do a blind port" and then it would have been stated "the devs said they got no plans to make it happen ever"

I think most ICS ROMs will work, just remember to flash the T-Mobile kernel (the boot.img, also, the T-Mo radio files if the ROM includes AT&T radio) over the top or else it won't boot.

been using this rom since it was posted yesterday. so far no problems at all.
super fast and sexy. no bloat.
only thing missing of course is WIFI-CALLING but that's to be expected since it's an ATT rom.
only other thing is TMO visual voice mail which can be had from the market anyways.
excellent slimmed down rom, thanks again for posting this! :victory:

Forgot to mention that the response time is incredible. I use my phablet with Sketchbook mobile and Sketchbook pro and Sketchbook mobile is blazing. Sketchbook pro is a little slow but that's probably a hwa issue. I use that one mainly on my regular sized tablet.

Yes this is a pretty sweet ROM if only we could.get the external sd to work. Jonson the original Dec told me it had to do with a difference in the kernels bit I have no knowledge of kernel work

use darkside super wipe
use dark side super wipe ext 4 find on cm 10 before you flash the rom that will help to mount the sd card

Say people of xda. I was just wondering if anyone had a good hack for the pan digital novel. Yeah its old as helz! Firmware version BN02-1029-2010-9D-wifi only. Man I just love foolin with stuff and I rooted it but its the only android in my collection that doesn't have a stock ROM and that's on my first and last nerve!! One of you folks have got to have a file in the basement of your hard drive that you could hook me up with... cmon. Please.

Can somebody please sende a link for a custom recovery for this. I know its old and all that. I have a custom ROM that aught to work but it won't install with the button combo. Its all stock just rooted with like z4 root or whatever. Has tibu and all that. Its rooted. I just want to ROM it. I probably won't even use it after that either. Just killim e to have a stock android device. Just throwe some downloads. I don't need instructions or disclaimers or none of that.

Flash working on latest dolphin from playstore

So this may be old news...but since I had to dig thru Google to find this.....thought I'd share.
I will post link to thread I found this in at bottom.
Basically...you get a flash apk....sorry for no link.....easy to find tho. Install the flash apk.
Get latest dolphin....or try this in the one you have now. The dolphin 8.5.... floating around will enable flash thru settings easy as pie....but no pinch to zoom and will crash if you full screen a flash video.
Then do this......you need root and a file manager....I use root browser lite.
"deleting the file data/data/mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser/shared_prefs/mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser_preferences.xml may allow the normal Dolphin Browser to regenerate the file setting Flash to "Always on".
This worked for me. Not sure what will happen if I update dolphin when an update comes out. Maybe it will still work....or maybe will have to delete that file again.

Cool, definitely works, thanks. I now have 4 browsers that are flash enabled. I love it when ppl say, "well, adobe pulled flash from jelly bean+, so this is why it doesnt work". This is XDA, we make it work
