What happen to Melvin and the Beastmod thread

Is there no more beastmod support. If not what happen?

I spoke with Mel and he said he's gonna continue on droid-tech.com. From what I was told it was a misunderstanding of some sort. Just follow him on droid-tech. He'll definitely be missed by me and many others. Luckily I have the privilege of contacting him via gtalk.

Looks like it got locked because he got banned from xda. Don't know why. If you want to follow his ROM, like I do, I think you can find his thread on Droid tech. It's a much smaller forum but I think he's there.

What's the actual URL of that site please? Can't seem to Google it. I've tried a number of combinations. Droidtech.com gets: NOTICE: This domain name expired on 11/09/2011 and is pending renewal or deletion. NOTICE: This domain name expired on 11/09/2011 and is pending renewal or deletion. And droid-tech.com gets nothing.

UPDATE: Mel said follow his twitter. He's about to post a letter on twitter about what happen I guess. @bosina_dev is his name. He also said look out for him on droid-tech.com

Sorry guys Mel just said that he hasn't posted anything at Android-tech yet. I thought he did. Sorry. I'll have the letter posted just now. I'm still waiting on Mel to finish writing it.

I know this thread isnt entirely skyrocket related, but it is nice to have an off-topic thread for SKYROCKET USERS to have to kick back and talk. Going to the off-topic forum is one thing, but those threads can get so jumbled and congested in a matter of hours that nobody knows who is talking to who. Besides, after the months I have spent with this forum, this is the only group I get along with, and the only group I care to get along with.

Cleaned thread. I already locked the other thread for reasons that are known to those that crossed a line. I don't mine a off topic thread to "chill out" and just hang out, but If I have to continually intervene then its not worth keeping open. Hope everyone can keep out of trouble and have fun.

Hey guys, i just wanted to let you know how you can use a combination of Launcher 8, statusbar+, and wp notifications to get a look pretty similar to WP8.

Best Rom/Kernel Threads

As we know, xda has recently allowed us to post best threads. Thats a difference from their policy before, which didnt allow best threads. Also, as we all know(well, most of us) that best roms and best kernels do not exist. Best would be whatever fills your personal needs and wants. As we all differ, our needs and wants also differ. Since all our needs and wants differ, its not possible to have a "best rom" or "best kernel". Whats best for you, could be the absolutely worst for me. So, even though xda now allows best threads, "best" doesnt actually exist. What they will turn into, if no arguments or fighting occurs, is just the same list of all roms and kernels that exist on xda. My question is whats the point to this? As in we reply in each thread with the truth, there are no best roms/kernels.

I agree with you sims. The best out come of a "best" thread is opinions. I also pm'd a mod with the same concern as you.

Kj, I have to agree with you more than the mods in that thread. I just don't see how "best" threads contribute to one of the old tenants of xda of learning and helping others learn about their device.

no way can i prove that we all see colors the same, i dont think we do. we might call the same colors the same names, but thats just because we were taught to. do we see them the same, probably no, but most probably see the color similarly.

If you just let the threads be, they will fall off the front page and die a natural death. Instead, you're posting your same responses over every thread and pushing them to the top.
