Just cache and dalvik.

I have a similar question.
Are there any improvements that are worth upgrading my TP from July 26 build to the latest one(I have working mic) ?
And is CM10 stable enough for daily use?

If I remember correctly, there's a USB wakelock fix that helps with battery life that was merged after July 26. You could also try the camera preview build in another thread; its not based on the latest nightly, but it is quite recent and includes that USB fix.
CM10 still has no sound and sketchy video.

CM7 Nightly Build 39?

Has anyone noticed that there is a new nightly CM7 build available - 39? Its dated today, but I haven't seen anyone talking about it. Has anyone flashed it yet, and if so, what has been changed since stable build was issued?

Thanks, but I went there, and nothing came up, just a blank black screen.
I was really just trying to see if anyone had actually tried it yet. I didn't see anything in the developers thread either.
You'll want to use something other than IE to view the changelog site (and the internet in general). Chrome works fine.
CM7 has a pretty wide audience so more often than not the dailies are not going to do much for the NookColor specifically. Most the time if there's a NC specific feature bump there will be a bunch of new threads pretty quickly.

yeah same here, if you upgrade from stable you might need to reinstall gapps, i know i did.
now you can do screenshots
if you install without doing any wipes then it retains your gapps and settings

7.1.0 stable = nightly #143 IIRC, so it's just older version of CM7..just go with latest nightly. You can read changes from changelog.

No I haven't noticed any problems so far..but I have used this only for 1 day so it's too early to say anything certain..
ok
i will test it also

Nightly is the latest and greatest cutting edge from CM, but is also more prone to more bugs. Stable is better for new CM users, or for those that "heavily rely" on their CM phones as their main or only phones...

You could ask about them on the official CM7 thread. I would suggest flashing the latest Nightly, however.
thank you upichie

i will try th nightly version
There are certain problems that are known and have yet to be fixed with CM7. Developers are continuously updating it though—and that is what the Nightlies are (a new build released every night). If your problems are known issues, it may be awhile before you see a fix. But there may be simple solutions to fix whatever problems you're having.

The only applications you should have trouble getting to work are the Samsung ones. The reason they don't work is because they are dependent on Samsung's framework, which obviously isn't found in CM7.
Every other application, if supported by your phone, should work just fine.

That is nothing new with CM and AOSP builds. They have know app compatibility issues. Some apps just will not work like Screenshot it. It will work on every custom rom except for CM and any rom built off of it/

[ROM][UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 7.2 (9th June, 2012)

Here i will drop links to nightly builds and other stuff of CyanogenMod 7.2 for our lovely HTC Legend.
Changelogs for nightlies are here or here, or even here. Full changelog for CyanogenMod project is here. If i've mention specific change in build description - this change is included in that build.
----------------------------------
New recovery v5.0.2.8 image for flashing. Useful on S-OFF or unlocked S-ON phones only. Changelog is here. Flashing instructions are here.
New recovery v5.0.2.8 fake-flash. Useful on locked S-ON phones only. Changelog is as above. Instructions for using are here too. Haven't tested, coz i have unlocked hboot, and i can't find stock "recovery <2e>" for testing fake-flashing. Try it, report about it. Seems that it's not working, sorry.
----------------------------------
Modified GPS library. For those only who can not get coordinates even with mobile data turned on. It does nothing but force AGPS on. Builded from official sources with reverted commit. Try it, feedback is welcome. Some kind of this fix included in 13th April nightly build and later, so you shouldn't apply it for that builds!
----------------------------------
ALL NIGHTLY BUILDS AND STUFF YOU CAN DOWNLOAD FROM HERE!
Nightly build (9th June, 2012). Changes are up to "Allow editing event status from GUI and mark new events as confirmed".
Nightly build (8th June, 2012). Changes are up to "Simplify ROM filename, s/SNAPSHOT/EXPERIMENTAL/, other cleanups".
Nightly build (24th May, 2012). Changes are up to "libaudio-msm7x30: fix voice volume on first call".
Nightly build (19th May, 2012). Changes are up to "Update hungarian translation".
Nightly build (15th May, 2012). Changes are up to "Remove misleading "default" indication" and "Make compcache script fail-safe".
Nightly build (14th May, 2012). Changes are up to "PT-BR: Missing translations". Although there is RC1 in file name, this build is compiled later than official CM7.2 RC2 nightly build, and contains all that RC2 has.
Nightly build (7th May, 2012). Changes are up to "Safeguard against dumping large amounts of memory if SP is bogus".
Nightly build (3rd May, 2012). Changes are up to "init.rc: update the permission of /data/local".
Nightly build (24th April, 2012). Changes are up to "Fix call forwarding indication".
Nightly build (13th April, 2012). Changes up to "Set supl_host_set flag in loc_eng_set_server". From this build you don't need my AGPS fix anymore.
Nightly build (10th April, 2012). Couple of changes up to "Make PhoneToggler accept the same values as are configurable in the settings".
Nightly build (7th April, 2012). Bunch of changes up to "audiosystem: support for samsungs isSeperatedStream()".
Nightly build (1st April, 2012). Another one change: "Quick unlock : Fix bug".
Nightly build (31th March, 2012). One change: "Allow theming of framework UI elements"
Nightly build (30th March, 2012). Many minor changes up to "cyanogen: also need to Kill this meme here".
Nightly build (29th March, 2012). Changes up to "Externalize symbol picker options to resources".
Nightly build (27th March, 2012). Changes up to "PatternUnlockScreen: Battery status can be shown if desired".
Nightly build (24th March, 2012). Changes up to "Dialer: Fix initial state for t9 sort mode".
Can anyone speak to CM and they could insert battery bar status. it would be great. for know we can disable the battery icon, but with battery bar on top, that would be nicer.
27/03 build runs smooth!

There is one strange thing with recent builds. I've got strong battery drainage. It looks like WiFi consume too much power from battery. This behaviour starts from build that of 5th or 7th of March. Does anyone can confirm that?
Just used the guide on cyanogenmod.com to install recovery on my girlfriends legend(was stock). Did not unlock the bootloader, so it's still S-on, but this ROM is working great.
At first GPS was not working(0 satellites in GPS test), but then i read that radio version radio 7.13.35.05 should "fix" GPS on cyanogenmod.
Had to downgrade CWM to version 2.5.x to be able to flash the 7.13.35.05 update.zip, but after I flashed the radio, GPS worked immediately.
The ROM seems to be working flawlessly now, great work!

The Snapshot is a stable point where almost everything worked 100%. A couple of bugs that most people will miss and a few that is annoying but doesn't make it unstable.
The nightlies are not so well tested and receive commits from the main CM branch. They include the latest bugfixes and features but it might not be as stable.

CM 7 is GB
CM 9 is ICS
CM 10 is JB
nighlys are done everyday and not much tested, I heard there are done automaticaly by a build robot
M snapshots are more tested and seem to come out every month
RC is tested a lot and the CM ppl think it is stable, if they find errors in it there will be another RC that corrects the errors, if not it will be declared stable

Everything is correct except nightly. Nightlys are only built when there are commits. Everyday means that the dev of the phone for CM has done a commit. That's why this week its everyday.

Not just the develeoper of the phone. We also receive commits from the main CM10 branch. If you look at the device specific and kernel commits then you'll see that new nightlys are sometimes being released without there being any changes too them. CM10 still has bugs on the main branch and those bugs can be fixed by any person at CM not just our awesome phone developer rmcc.
Sent from my LG-P970
In this case, they are automatically released, this is why a later version "nightly" can not contain an adjustment that had been made in the last version (as in the case of video recording in our CM10 that worked in past releases and the latest does not work), leaving only when another snapshot version is that everything was done correctly should not it contain?
Snapshot or Release Candidates
Thanks for you wonderful explanation guys, but this might be a noobish question, if I were to choose or you are, would you pick snapshot or RC's?
Thanks! :good:

Depends on how close to the RC the snapshot is....
A snapshot from the day after a RC should be almost identical to the RC, plus (hopefully) fixes.
A snapshot far after a release could be introducing a bunch of new features (and bugs to go with them).
I'd be more interested in reading snapshot changelogs, relative to the last release or release candidate.

I would be happy if the dev focuses more in stability in this version rather than working on more recent updates. Believe me or not, this device isn't really capable in working smoothly above KitKat anymore actually. It's just too old and weak to run smoothly on newer firmwares. You can see why I stopped my RR development, I totally lost my passion in doing it anymore. What's the point of doing it when it cant even run smoothly on it with lags time by time. If I have time, I might learn building a kernel for this build. All I want is performance and stability rather than having more recent updates but with crappy memory management and laggy UI.
Once again, thanks to the dev for this build.

I tried, on the first 3 days, it works extremely fine. Slowly, the lag increases, yesterday it was lagging so much that I have no choice but to switch to this rom. It's not even my primary device and I got only messenger and gapps installed. Let's see how it goes. =)
Ok, i try this rom , wait kernel from you.
I don't intend on releasing any ROMs or kernels of my own. I only built this ROM so I could keep on using CM 10.2 but have the stagefright vulnerability fixed. You can get decent kernels from other topics in this forum. I may accept patches to fix other bugs or security issues but I'm not intending this to be a long-term project.

I have the same problem, on both my I9100 and my I9100G. Whenever free memory drops below 100 MB, the system becomes so sluggish that it is painful to use. Freeing memory helps but fills up too fast again. I think android needs 2 GB of RAM to run properly, which our devices don't have.
