Since I started using PA Ukata, I never used my video camera. Yesterday I flashed Hydracore 6.2 B3. The video camera in all 3 settings did not work. Today I flashed PA 2.22 18OKT rom. Video cam doesn't work either. Has this been an issue with PA?
Try stock PA kernel. I read some people having that issue with HC version you are using..
Try wiping your cache and dalvik
May want to try a fresh install with all wipes If keep having issues.

Gapps 20121011 picassa was the problem. Flashed PA back and Gapps 20121011 without picassa and video camera worked.
No ROM problem. Please mark the topic as [SOLVED]
It is user-related, not ROM-related!
Thanks.

Hi all!
I have a problem with my Galaxy S i9000. Audio recording isn't working in video camera, recorder and third part apps but i can do a call normally! the problem is born when i changed the stock rom (Froyo) with another one (custom) and is still not working with all roms except MIUI or cyanogenmod 7.1! but i want to install a ICS Rom. what can i do for solving this problem?
thanks
P.s. now i installed CM9 and i want to keep it!
P.p.s. i'm sorry if I have done some grammatical errors!
Hi, is the bug you described still the same now that you are using CM9? And which version of Cm9 are you using?build 17 now replaced by nightly builds , if you are on the latest nightly you should post a bug report (attaching relevant info as asked for in opening post) in the developer post.

as you said you directly come from froyo to ics..............ffirst you have to flash gingerbread version XXJVU...............then go to ics…...……...this is the right way to flash ics rom.......by doing this your problem will be short out.
i'm sorry, maybe i'm not explained so well.
I changed Froyo with a stock Gingerbread and i had problems with recording...after this i flashed another custom gingerbread rom and i had the same problem...so i tried a MIUI rom! with this ROM everything is working fine (the same with CM7) but now i installed CM9 Nightly (ICS) and the problem is came back... it's a strange problem...
p.s. when i flash a rom i ALWAYS do a full wipe.

Hello all.
First I want to thank the developers for this fast & beautiful ROM.
And here is my question since I cant post it in the original thread for this rom, If any1 else beside me that upgraded from 4.2.1 to 4.2.2 noticed major lags when scrolling between app pages in app drawer and overall lesser responsiveness from the phone.
I have installed semaphore kernel 2.9.12s.
my installation procedure to install 4.2.2 was:
had installed 4.2.1 official version + semaphore 2.9.12s
went to recovery -> full data wipe/factory reset, wiped dalvik cache, basically wiped anything with cache in its name, and manual format of /system
and then installed 4.2.2 build 1.1
when it booted up, the whole time i was using it the overall responsiveness was noticably slower than the 4.2.1 version to which i reverted previously and now using it.
was my install procedure faulty, are there still some bugs in the new rom, or is something wrong with my phone?

No, there was nothing wrong you did. 4.2.2 is not a final release as yet, it's a build 1 release, so that's the main reason for this Enjoy
you souldnt get lag because i updated from 4.2.1 slim to 4.2.2 without any wipes and got no problams but yeah it is build 1....

Hey xda fellas, I'm having Samsung galaxy S I9000 and i got camera problem - "Unfortunately, Camera has stopped" (when i try to use it).
I cleared cache didn't work, I am running CM11 4.4.2 (nightly version), I also updated kernel using this instructions (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2580112).
Nighty version of rom that i use is "cm-11-20140416-NIGHTLY-galaxysmtd.zip".
I don't know if i have technical problems with my camera or i messed up something wrong with rom and kernel. Pls help me to make it work again .
P.S.
Before i installed new rom i had 2.3.6 Gingerbread and it didn't work too.

Most probably a Hardware issue. Best solution, Flash Stock and take it to the nearest Samsung Service Center.
So after almost month using CM9 and before that CM10.1 by Bleached before 3 days I got back on KitKat ROM's.
And now here is problem which I discovered still in February with CM11 by The Whisp and now on OmniROM.
Problem is that I can run Instagram, BUT - when I try to post image app stops working and nothing helps and only battery pull out works. On any other ROM (like CM10.1 BLeached, CM9 any build, older CM10.x builds) it works great, but on any KitKat ROM it crashes (Ican't get any logcat coz phone totaly breaks).
Any help should be great
EDIT: All problems are gone away now... Instagram account is deleted and now I'm gonna use Pinterest with Pixlrmatic for picture editing. Either way if somebody knows how to fix this or maybe get any kind of logcat to make this app working on KitKat based ROMs with 3.4 kernel
Just a update: with CM11 build 08032014 and everything newer Instagram works again. Hopefully that was some Instagram issues, not ROM based as far I hope so.
What are the steps in flashing this? And what are the nightlys? I have done roms before but mainly with other phones.. Do you flash 12.0 then the nightleys up update to newest build?
Need help, lol.. Do I use ODEN? Thanks everone.
If it is your first flash, just flash the newest nightly. Each nightly is a full rom (minus the g apps of course) with minor updates from the development from that day.
You do not have to flash every nightly. However I recommend not getting more than a week behind. Also you can just flash the newest nightly when you chose to you do not need to flash all of the ones in between.

And use ODIN? Where is the best place to find g apps?
and I want G apps 4.4 not 5.0 correct?
This is where I get my gapps. I've used 4.4.4 and the 5.0 gapps. And the tiny gapps and the pac rom gapps.
http://www.android.gs/download-install-and-flash-google-apps-for-android/
The 5.0 PA Gapps work great with CM 12.
If it is your first flash, I'd recommend a clean flash, as far as the nightlies are concerned you can just dirty flash over your current build.
Ok I did the PA Gapps.. now with the s view, is there a way to have it still? Also I added Facebook but cant get it to sync contacts
Have you tried these 2 things?
