Hello, few days ago i've installed (with @xsenman help) JB ROM and Semaphore kernel.
First of all i have questions about notification bar. What is a difference of this two types of volume:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Second question: there is no auto-rotate in that bar. Why is that? I often change it and i liked to have it in notifications.
Similar issue: in the 'OFF phone options' there is no data access enabler.
I know I can find any widget, but sometimes when I'm using applications i want to change these options quickly. Is there any solution to hack it?
/// I found in internet screen like this:
So how can i edit notification bar?
And other case. I think the JB's Semaphore manager is poorer than GB's version. I remember the options about changing the touch sensitivity and screen quality. I remember too that the best option of quality was generating the green colour small issue when it was going OFF, maybe you know what i'm talking about Now i don't see any options like this and i think that sharpness is a little bit worse than GB's & Semaphore.
Well, if you have any ideas for me, please say it
Answering to first question. The difference between these two toggles is the second enable vibration+sound on incoming calls, etc.
Secondly, on the second (buttery butter ^^) screen is presented AOKP ROM with normal toggles. On this screenshoot has been changed DPI (probably to 160-182)
Back to Semaphore. Well, the code has been changed, Android too. You can ask @stratosk for this
Thanks for your answer, so can I edit these toggles?
Yes you can. It's in settings - > notification or something like that. Can't remember it off the top of my head.

Sadly there are only three options: reboot, screenshot and profiles.
//i'm sorry, i wrote about 'off options'
/// so thanks, now i have everything I wanted

Hi guys,
I was going to post this in general, but as it is possible development I thought it may best be suited here. Sorry if it isn't!!
Anyway, I'm no developer so I don't know if this is even possible, hence why I thought I'd throw it out there.
What I was thinking is, as a user of the flip clock and also using Stericson lock screen, I have the time in full view of my home screen / lock screen all the time.
The fact it is in the top right corner is of no use to me really. It's also apparent that when you have several icons in the notification bar (especially when plugged in on USB) it gets crowded and tends to hide alot of them.
What is the feasibilty of removing / hiding the clock from the notification bar, and moving the 3g/wifi/bt/battery icons into the right hand corner?
Would this actually be possible? I know this wouldn't suit all users but some people may like this as it would give more space for other icons to appear there.
Any Devs care to elaborate on this?
Thanks.
If you wanted to hide the time, you could just make it transparent using Ohsaka's colorChange.jar. Of course, that wouldn't help with the crowded icons.
I like the time in the right corner, useful for when I'm browsing the web on a break from work.
Or try alternative home app: Home++
{

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Sadly this has been asked quite a few times, problem is they wont answer even though people want it.
I guess for now home++ is a good alternative - though I do like using advanced launcher, so removing it properly from the notification bar would be better.
I guess it's just one of them things - although an official yes or no it can't be done would be nice from a dev?!
Thanks.

which on are you using ?
Sorry, I wasn't real sure where to put this. The screen shot pretty much says it all.
I'm using the theme here, for MIUI, yet this happens on all the popular dark themes I've tried. It's very hard to see the gray text containing address info against the gray background with the popup results menu in Google Navigation.
Is there an easy fix for this? Thanks.

I've always had the same problem. Never found a solution except to use light themes.

LOL??? thanks for pointing this out.. i just spotted this in my theme and totally missed it.. so im going to work on this right away!!
Certainly, it's like this on a lot of themes, even the default on.
I know it's part of the framework, but I don't know what specifically needs to edited to change this without affecting the rest of the theme.
Have you tried this:
(I'm using a French rom, so all the terms I'm going to use may be not the good ones in English..)
Go to Settings, Applications Manager, search and tap on Google Navigation in your apps list, then de-activate Compatibility Mode.. It worked for me with some unreadable white on white texts..
If it doesn't work (sorry about it, first.. ), just re-activate Compatibility Mode (just in case)
Hey all I've been using a ROM that I've I've been loving but keep having poor battery life. Tried a different rom and battery life doubled!!!! But is missing a must have feature that the other rom has.
There is an issue when scrolling in some apps. When you are at the bottom of a page and say swipe up fast to get to the top, once you hit the top of the page, the page will bounce back and start scrolling back down. Figured out that there is a setting in this ROM with the poor battery life called "over scrolling effect" setting this to off fixes the issue.
Wanted to know if this setting is a part of the core operating system? And be able just just manually edit this setting in say the build prop file or a file like it? Or would this setting have to be added and compiled into the ROM?
Here are screen shots of the said setting

you cant just add features to a rom. you have to have the code for it, you add it to the roms code, then you have to build the rom from scratch.

Hi, I suggest a visit to XDA University:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2476050
Since I had the Oneplus 5 I noticed the alert slider's functionality is pretty dumb. I have looked everywhere for a way to have it in silence/vibrate/all and I finally found a partial solution.
This lets you get SILENCE/ALL/VIBRATE in this order from top to bottom positions
Download OnePlus Mode Switcher.
The app lets you set the volume of the standard "ALL" setting to vibrate. It works in the background and you can set it to open on startup.
Set the slider options like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
This has been tested and is working on OOS 4.5.10, but it should also work on any other OOS custom rom.
For those who need a much more customizable slider, I suggest MoKee or RR. These roms have the MoKee slider options but they're not OOS based.
don't see how getting used to op5 slider is hard. tbh it's logical that bottom is and top is mute.

It's badly implemented. It doesn't reflect the standard Android settings of silence/vibrate/all.
It breaks all those apps that revolve around those statuses, since they didn't even flag the position change the same way.
The priority setting is useless (for me), it doesn't allow you to mute apps, and so if you're in a meeting you can only choose between them hearing everything or you not hearing anything.
The volume in all/priority can't be set to 0. This is basically them brute forcing a design flaw on us so that we use it as they wanted it.
The settings cannot be changed without Xposed [which for now is unstable and so the old module devs (for 3/3T) are waiting]. This is just stupid, we're on android, not iOS. It's literally just a triggered action, they could change it in maybe 3 minutes counting system bootup and IDE opening time. How much money is that, less than 1$?
I agree. I don't ever use the slider 'cause it's useless..
Hi
I know mykindle is old but my autistic son uses it and he cannot handle change thus still using it.
I have no idea how this has happened at all. BUt now it seems when I reboot the device, the notifications bit has a notice saying "tap to access launcher debug settings".
When I tap this it takes me to those settings (which I have never seen before in any of the settings area) and I can quit out of it.
Why is this happening and is it a sign of a bigger problem?
Just to be clear, while I do have ADB enabled (in case I brick it and need to use kindle-unbrick in the future) nothing else is unusual. It is not rooted and I have never put a custom rom/system/launcher on it at all.
I can only guess that this change has accurred because either a game I have installed has tweaked something, or, a particular tablet-crash has pushed this into being.
So is it a problem? Can I stop it? Why has it happened?
Any thoughts would be massively appreciated please.
Thank you.
Alex
Hello. Sorry for the late reply. Anyways, I'm happy to help you. I also use a Kindle Fire HD 7 2012, so you can expect the best results. IDK the reason of the problem, it appeared in the same way as yours. But the fix is so simple, take a closer look at it:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Long-tap at the notification (some program appeared at the top, don't pay attention to it):
Tap "Manage Notification", as the arrow above suggests.
So, you must have the same screen, applications may differ. Tap the "Off" toggle in the right corner after the "Launcher", as arrow suggests, and go to the home screen. When you will look at notifications, a message must disappear.
If you experience any further problems, let me know. I'll try to respond in my free time.
And thank you for posting the question, without it I couldn't solve it (really).
Have a nice day!
