Does this include turning noise reduction off by default? Been trying to find a way to do this on these ICS roms to fix the echo issue associated with nose reduction being on.
There is a separate thread in this forum for do it yourself modding phone.apk to get no -ascending ringtone. Do not see a need for separate one just for one rom. Thanks regardless. This should be done in the original thread and imo by the OP initiator/rom developer...of course some of those do not like the no-ascending ringtone and give all sorts of weird reasons not to..but then each one's choice. The mod thread for do it yourself was very handy.

Hello today i instaled xxla6 firmware on my note... N then installed the fresh darkyrom's rom v3.3. .everything went fine... But wenever i push the powerbutton n thn turn on my screen slowely slowely some pixels appear on my screen n slowly slowly they become brighter n brightr... N finally the screen appears pure white wit some design. .no button works nt even the soft ui' s n finaly i hav to switch my device n reboot it ... Plzz can some one help me.. As i like darkyrom bt hav to bt hav switch to my stock firmware due to this prob..

Dont bother looking around....is just the kernel....first time i hit my head on the desk as i saw that bug with stock rom also after flashing kj1.
Just replace the kernel with abyss one that have also touch recovery.
That problem i can cofirm possitive that is from kernel

i think yes.. maybe in a few weeks..
I am running the official version and so far so good...the music freezes are fixed and flash player
11 works fine...i still didn't have a random network crash...i think im going to stick with the official release for a while until some more roms come out.

I cant install the update am alwayes go in bootloop ...am using mobile odin ...caus my device wont connect to the pc ....mobile odin cant flash bootloader ...any thing can i do to flash the ICS ???

Hi...all i want to update my galaxy ace s5830 to Gingerbread 2.3.6 & my current version is 2.3.5..... Before update i want to know about whats new in 2.3.6. & glad if anyone can post few screenshots here....because some says there is a change in screenlock & call screen & dialpad+memo icons in 2.3.6 update for india (DDKQ8) ....i want to know whether the changes are common to worlwide 2.3.6 .updates or its just for india version....

if u live in india,then go to samfirmware.com and download newest firmware for india..then download odin and .ops file from same site,then unpack downloaded firmware and open odin as administrator.Then checj one package square and put firmware file in last box in odin...
Phone part:
Enable usb debbuging in settings,and put ur phone i download mode..then connect it to computer(while odin is open and set up)and u will see yellow square in odin...Then just click start and wait fo process to complete..

Im using custom rom at the moment...There is some ui changes like incomming call buttons are now green and red circles and homescreen icons are little different and the proces is same for all countries..i asumed u are from india bcz u mentioned indian firmware

thank a lot again...thanx for your kindness again!! no im not live in the india..i mentioned about the indian version because when i googld for the latest firmware i got to know about the 2.3.6 ddkq8 is realesed for india & i just wanted to know is it worth to update & what are the changes i would get......still dont have any decision whether is it worth to do this update or stay in the current 2.3.5. Helps are welcome

i am not much interested in custom roms..i av alredy rooted the phone..btw any custom rom suggestions?? & tellme is it possible to flash the stock rom with odin if we want to get rid of custom roms??

I used some custom roms based on stock,but now im using cm 10.1 beta 5...battery on roms based on stock is good,but on cm it lasts less..and o stock based roms no bugs,and on cm theres few bugs as its still in beta development stage...

My personal favourite is ImaginaryICS Final.
It's getting a little bit older now but still a fantastic ROM with good speed and excellent battery life.

Just search the thread of ultimate ROM.
Because it was a common issue there is every mod available for download
And if u want the status bar mod just try darboc's mod for xxlsc
