h.264 over USB - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anyone ever seen video stream into a device over USB? I'd like to use my N7000 as a 'monitor' for my digital camera pushing an h.264 stream out over USB.
Any thoughts?

Try Helicon Remote from the Playstore. You'll need the USB OTG adapter. I use it with my Nikon D90 but as per the developer page, it should work with most nikon or canon cameras.

If you are familiar with VLC Player for Windows, there is an option to open a stream -> USB. That is what I was looking for your recommendation - I will have to check it out in the morning.

TV Out

Hello all,
Does anyone know of an app and usb adapter to output video to av from the tattoo?
I know there are other phones that do this but not sure if the tattoo can.
What resolution Is it able to handle?

Not sure. But I only want it to play movies on a small in car screen.

Use tattoo like a usb storage and play video from the car's player..
I don't think something like "video-tethering" is possible.

[Q] Wireless HDMI Stream

hi,
i already got the mhl adapter for micro usb to hdmi, thats working fine,
but i there a solutuion to do this wireless.
i dont only want to stream videos or audio, i want to have the full homescreen streamed.
the reason is, i want to connect an external hdd via usb
thank you
easiest way is probably ipad2/iphone4s with apple TV2 on IOS5
check this out for android
http://code.google.com/p/androidscreencast/
which does the same thing except in place of Apple TV2, you need a PC there.

I think DLNA is your only option there. You need a TV with dlna support.

but with dlna I only can stream movies or pictures or audio
still need to stream the home screen or games

TV out, Miracast or anything like it?

It's driving me nuts. The only thing that stops the the Nexus 7 being nothing more than a toy or glorified ebook for me is the fact I cannot find any form of big screen streaming for it. My 2 year old phone has MHL abilities which is okay but someone must know if there are any plans for the Nexus 7? It seems to be ridiculous to have such a powerful device and not be able to use it on a bigger screen.
I've searched back 10 pages on this subject and found nothing so welcome any fresh perspectives on it.
BubbleUPnP and make a DLNA server, I use it to connect to my TV and Xbox.

+1 to BubbleUPnP...
Though screen mirroring is not possible in BubbleUPnP, you can throw any media from it to your TV or other
DLNA enabled devices...
Luckily, my TV has WiFi dongle and Wi-Fi direct feature...
so, once my device is connected to the TV via WiFi-direct, launch BubbleUPnP and select the TV as renderer, I can
throw any media to the TV...
I'm also hoping and wishing for the screen mirroring...
Hi I will look at BubbleUPnP, I've been using Skifta for the time being which does DNLA quite well.
I use my PS3 as a receiver but it doesn't support many file formats.
It's a real shame the Nexus doesn't at least support MHL.

Except mkv files, right?
With a raspberry pi and tassadar's android transporter rom mirroring is possible with reasonable response times

[Q] Slow playback via mhl cable?

Movies play fine on the phone, however, when connected to tv via mhl cable the playback is extremely slow both video and audio! Any solution?
Use bsplayer

I've never used bsplayer but used Mxplayer and it worked for me fine.
Just try both bsplayer and Mxplayer

No joy. I've tried many different players. It plays back fine on the phone but as soon as its hooked up to tv via mhl it affects playback (becomes slow motion like) but plays back normal as soon as its unplugged from the mhl cable!?
Generic Mhl cable works fine when using other phones like galaxy s2
Go to service in phone dialer then check your settings. Maybe set it to 720p?

Can i stream 1080p movies through HDMI?

Is it possible to watch 1080p movies to TV through the HDMI port? I guess i can, but what about FPS? what app and rom i need for that?
I want to stream from my network (NFS). Can this phone handle it?
It does output 1080p, but HDMI only works on ICS or GB.
