Note 2 Otterbox Defender Case Review

I've been waiting for this to turn up for ages and I finally got my hands on the Otterbox Defender last night. It really does add some weight and bulk to the phone but of course offers the protection a lot of people are looking for. I personally like the look of the grey case but the wait for that is still about a month I believe.

Good review but the Defender is way to bulky for me and the screen cover has too much glare. Which is why I want the Commuter, any idea when you can review it?

I personally prefer the commuter, I will be reviewing it as soon as it arrives. I didn't expect to the defender till mid December so I can't say when I'll get my commuter unfortunately.

With a case like the Defender I would probably drop my phone on purpose just so I can feel good about walking around with a case that big.

I did it all the time with my iPhone 4. Lol. I'd drop it on the concrete floor at work from eye level (I'm 6'4" ) because people wouldn't believe the case was that good, then THEY were the ones that would freak when I let it go haha

Yeah some of the Youtube videos of drop tests are scary to watch the first time, proves the case does it job though I guess.
I have been tempted to do my own drop tests on video but at the same time I'm too scared it will break lol

I have for sale a gently used Seidio active black color. Used it for about 3 weeks and decided the otterbox commuter was better for my needs. I don't have the original package.

He has the exact dimensions for the nexus 10 if anyone else wants something

I think the overall was 27$ when I bought it. I paid about 18€.

thanks IKBZI. that's pretty expensive...because of the transport costs. i'll try to find/make something locally.

How does this adhere to the tablet. I may be interested in getting one too. Pretty sweet.

It's kinda weird. It has some kind of glue, which makes the skin able to be removed and added again. I don't know how to call it, but I liked it, since it's really easy to put or to take off. I recommend it if you liked it.

Did a quick Google search and it looks like there's a place online who makes some, nothing to the extent of the custom vinyl though.

You'll be lucky if that lasts a week. Note even at the end of his video the corners of the back piece are already wrinkling back up. The side pieces are a complete waste of time; there is so little contact area they'll peel straight back off the first time you touch them.
The only bit that will stay in place is on the glass, which needs no protection anyway.

Do we have replacement back cases for 550KL like moto phones?

And what is the material of original back panel.
Because I feel little discomfort after taking it into hands from a dusty surface(table or rack). So wanna change to some replacement break panel which doesn't come with the same original material.

I'm not sure if they have them or plan to make them, but it would be awesome if they did. I do like the look of the back, but I like a slightly grippier texture. I have a 551KL so idk if they're different.

Anyone purchased the real wood case from Cover-Up for the S7 edge? They have two different cases, the "slim-fitting “Snap Case” and tougher, more durable “Explorer Case”. I am thinking about buying one of these and am therefore curious about experiences. Thanks.
