Black carbon fiber battery door replacement

I bought it from ebay.

I must have been lucky cause it arrived in 6 days - overseas shipping Hong Kong to New Zealand
Overall the fit of the case is really good, fits as good as my oem one. Everything clicks into place.
The carbon fibre immitation weave looks good, its made up of plastic. It kinda reminds me of a wicker basket pattern.
The texture feels alot grippier than stock case and has a matte finish to it.

What about NFC? And does it come in other colors?

I saw this listed on EBay and now that I see what it looks like installed, I may get one myself. I'll bet it would look sweet with a black aluminum bumper case too! My only concern is if it's thicker than the original cover. The bumper cases are a pretty tight fit.

I don't have any calipers to measure it but it feels real slim. At a guess it may be like 1mm thicker but minimal.
I haven't tried removing my stock nfc as I don't use it so can't answer your question

Do these affect signal? I had one of these on my GS3 and could not get LTE unless I took it off. Overall reception was bad while using it.

Cases with raised buttons?

I've been searching around since I got my Note 2, and I can't find very many cases with raised buttons. So far the only thing that's caught my eye has been the official Samsung case. Are there any other suggestions? I don't want something massive like an Otterbox, just something grippy with raised buttons

I ordered this one a day before i got my note (first thing on launch day) and received the case 2 days later.
It has no bulk at all, it has grippy sides and a nice clear back so u can see that dreaded verizon logo .
Overall nice case, I have two more on the way and should be here today.
But I think this one will be my primary.

The official samsung case is great. The buttons are raised and easy to press unlike the cheap tpu I got from ebay. I couldn't feel where the buttons we're. Overall is a great case and fits perfect.

This case must be hard to find. I had a 3 week old one i sold on ebay last week and it went for $41....the case was only $38 in stores. Its a really nice case. Feels really good in the hand. Hi all,
Just wanted to chime in on this case. The protection is great and the side grips make the feel more solid as opposed to slippery. The extended rubber on the face helps when it is facedown or when it potentially drops so it's not flush against the floor/table. My only beef is that the kickstand rubber part has come loose so i'm not sure how durable that part is, it's not that much of a hassle as I can still manage to prop it up but I'm afraid it will eventually break off.
Most complaints are about the difficulty of getting the kickstand out
P.S. all ports are accessible i.e. stylus, charger, headphones, camera, speaker
Raised power & volume up/down buttons

Whats the matter with case makers these days? Release the case with just 2 colors, one is black the other is white with pink. Its exactly like body glove diamond series... ffs have they ever thought men uses with white case too? Why pink?? Could just use red and that would plays with well with both genders...

Nice looking case but have always had the rubber part warp on every case I had. Evo 4g, evo 3d, and the skyrocket. I ended up using the speck case for my note 2. Even if anything happens to it I can exchange it for free at the att store.

screen time should be the main screenshot we see. without it that battery information is useless.

Good question I get about 20 hours with the anker 6200 but I have my bluetooth on n I get about 8 hours screen time and about 7 houra on the phone talkimg

Mine came with a piece of crap NFC that didn't even work. I ended up using the one from the stock case and scotch taped it to the phone. Lol works just like the OEM backplate now. It only looks bad when you show off the battery.
Funny enough I've had four different backplates and the only two that worked were the OEM ones.

I've had one problem and that's with three door rather than the battery. My plastic teeth have worn down. Does anyone know of a tpu or similar case that would fit over the battery door

I just ordered my Anker and hoping the NFC is not crap on it. Also, going to do the vinyl mod that's been talked about in the extended battery cover thread.

The one I got from Amazon had NFC on it. The site didn't mention it but it didn't work anyway. lol

Yea I had to take the NFC off my original back door and connect it to the Anker back door.
Works now lol.

Verizon Housing

Does anyone have a link for replacement housing for the VZW Note 2? My housing creaks on the side and back and I would like to replace it.

Won't any note 2 housing work? Be careful when taking it apart. I would just buy the back cover first and see if it fixes the creaking before taking it apart.

I have removed the battery cover and it still creaks. I thought there was a difference between the housings but I could be mistaken.

The battery cover is part of the whole thing. Removing it won't make a difference. If you keep it in its more rigid and less likely to creak.

I would go with an att housing so you can take advantage of wireless charging.
iirc that housing has the cut outs for that feature whereas the vzw housing does not.
as for doing the swap, explore YT on how to vids.

Be careful when ordering your new housing. As this guy found out the hard way they are different depending on carrier.
