Unlock IncS on Bell - HTC Incredible S

I need to unlock my phone to get a sim card for the USA because I do a lot of work here.
There are a lot of sites, who is "safe" to use for the code?

I have a Bell IncS and about a year ago I used this service: https://www.mobileincanada.com/How-To-Unlock-Your-Cellphone
It worked well and they were reliable. I recently used my phone on AT&T's network during a vacation in the summer.

Try out ebay and check the sellers rating.
Just seach for "incredible s unlock code"
I did this and got mine unlocked for less than $4.
I used a seller named "dofollow"

This site does not support how to unlock your sim lock. Only rooting, unlocking root securities and rom developement. There are thousands of services out there that can unlock your sim and charge an average of $10. Good luck.!

The only other way is to call AT&T and have them unlock it. Last time I tried they wouldn't do it yet since the phone was still exclusive to them. That might have changed by now so you might try that. As far as the best site, I've looked around and eBay by far has the best prices... I've seen some listed for ~$5.
I bought my unlock code off ebay for 3.98...only took about a half an hour and i had my code

You should contact Verizon for an unlock code. If they won't provide you with one then you need to contact one of the sites on the Internet and purchase an unlock code for your phone.
Unlike a lot of previous HTC devices, a software solution to SIM unlock your phone no longer works on the IncS.
Thanks for the info...
I don't know how it is in the States but here in Gemany I usually got such a code with every SIM-card I bought... Maybe search dow your papers?
EDIT: OH sorry, got that wrong... Thought your SIM is locked not your phone SIM-locked Confuusing

Have you ever used it on the att network? Then you're good to go, the phone was already activated in us, I have the same and I used it in Thailand without problems, I called att and they provided me the network unlock code.

Options for Unlocking AT&T Samsung Galaxy S5 GM-900A

Hey Everyone,
I need assistance with unlocking my smartphone; it's an AT&T Samsung Galaxy S5 GM-900A. I did a little research on the internet and it's my understanding that unlocking a Samsung smartphone linked with AT&T is a bit more difficult than it already is with other companies. I also saw a lot of sites that offer "unlocking" services for a certain price. Before I decide to do that, I wanted to know if there were any others options or which site is most reliable. From what I've seen and read, it seems that this forum is the best option for seeing if this is possible. Appreciate any assistance you guys can offer.
I am not familiar with unlock sites but have heard mixed reviews on them. Those sites can only unlock the sim card, not the boot loader. Just thought I would put that out there since you didn't specify what kind if unlock you were looking for. I recently submitted a sim unlock through AT&T for my s5 since I am out of contract.

Unfortunately, mine is still under contract but I would like to unlock my smartphone so it can be used with another carrier. This is the type of unlock service those sites are saying they can provide, right? I've also read and heard mixed reviews on the internet, which is why I came here in hopes that I can get additional info on this. Thanks for your prompt response.
Just use att they will unlock your sim

What's the difference between that and sim unlocking? Any disadvantages on just having the sim unlocked and not the bootloader?

Thank you. I checked it out and it doesn't seem to support "Galaxy S5 SM G900A"; the only thing close to that is "Galaxy S5 SM G900F". Appreciate it if you can suggest another site.

I'm unable to do so because the smartphone is still under contract.
Call ATT. New laws made all carriers be (generally) required to unlock their SIMS not bootloaders under some conditions. see link https://www.fcc.gov/consumers/guides/cell-phone-unlocking-faqs
If u are under contract they will make u pay but u then meanwhile u can use another carrier. Here is a link to an unlock service. https://www.doctorsim.com/us-en/unlock-phone/samsung/
Good Luck!

Thanks for the link; I looked over the fine print and unfortunately, I don't fall under those conditions as I am under contract and unable to pay in order to get out of it. :/

They serve entirely different purposes. Sim chooses carrier (ATT,etc). Bootloader chooses what will be started when phone is booted ie system(rom), recovery(TWRP etc), bootloader itself. Bootloader unlock means changes can be made to what will start under different boot requests. No disadvantages to just unlocking sim, often used for foreign travel where your regular sim will not connect. Many times carrier will unlock SIM LATE in contract for foreign travel reasons.
You can try using www.unlockradar.com if you want to unlock your S5. I have a cell phone repair store and I've been using them for a few months and never had any problem. Their customer support is very responsive. https://www.unlockradar.com/unlock-samsung/galaxy-s5-sm-g900a

Are you under contract via a next plan thru at&t? If you are planning to unlock to switch carriers I imagine you want to end service with at&t. If so they will want you to pay for the phone in full or return the phone. If you don't pay & keep the phone I'm pretty sure they blackball the imei so it can't be used by any carrier. So what's your end goal here?

Yes, I'm under a contract that has been suspended and told them that I am currently not able to pay but also am not able to get another phone due to financial reasons. They said they understood my situation but cannot unlock my phone due to the contract and that once I am able to pay, they will provide me the unlock code if I still want it or wish to continue using their services. I guess what my end goal is to not have to pay for another phone when I'll only use it for medical reasons and once I am financially stable, I can go ahead and pay and probably continue with AT&T. I see your point and understand the predicament I have. I'll just have to wait and see. . .

No problem. I just am trying to see if you'll end up paying to get it unlocked then have at&t block the phone from being used. Good luck.

Unlock Code (to use with diff carrier)

I'll be traveling to Europe for about a month next week and was wondering how to unlock my phone so I can use a prepaid sim card over there.
I know AT&T has an unlock phone website but unfortunately my phone is still under the two year warranty so I'm not eligible.
Are there any tools I can use to carrier unlock for free or any reliable third party services that are reliable and won't break the bank?
Btw, my phone is not rooted. Please let me know what options I have. Thanks!

I have not done it, but I have heard people explaining that they are traveling to Europe just as you are and have gotten the unlock code for that reason.

Yeah, I called at&t and asked them. However, since I'm still under contract they told me I am not eligible until my contract expires...
If I get my phone unlocked via a third party service while I'm still under contact, will my IMEI be blacklisted? I guess I'm just trying to figure out if there will be any negative outcomes from unlocking my phone while still under a contract.
