Hi all,
Google Now is working perfectly apart from the voice search feature. When I try it, GNow recognises what I say, then immediately crashes with the message 'Unfortunately Google Now has stopped'. I've tried wiping and reinstalling g and v search apps, with no luck. Independent voice apps like vlingo work fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks very much...

Had the very same problem on my new GSIII with Jelly Bean. Tried wiping application data, caches, downloading language files, disabling applications in the search options, all to no avail. In the end I used Root App Delete (free application) to disable Google Search. It doesn't like you messing with System apps bit will allow it. I then installed Google Search from the Market as a user app and have had no issues since.
Might be worth a try, I hope it helps.

Not sure if this will help since I am on Sprint Galaxy S3, and JB 4.1.2 (stock, rooted). I used Titanium Backup to uninstall Google Search and Voice Search. Both were system apps on my phone. Rebooted (just for the heck of it). Then reinstalled Google Search and Voice Search from the martket and it's working fine now.
Uninstall google search with a 3rd party app, reinstall from the market, reboot into recovery, fix permissions, wipe dalvik cache, wipe cache, reboot. Worked on my T889 running Cm10.1 nightlies.

Have you tried either of these methods:

None of those methods worked, and the market enabler didn't either

I'm having the same problems with the same version of 2.2. Never had any problems with the older versions I tried.
I have tried lots and lots of things. I usualy get it to work for maybe 1 download after after I uninstall one app, once it worked after I moved all the apps I had on the sd card to the internal memory. Sometimes I got it to work by canceling the google talk login.
The fact remains the latest 2.2 version is broken somehow.
I'm having the same problem.
Edit: I found a solution to my problem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11545846&postcount=400
"To fix market download problems I force stopped Market, cleared its cache and data. Did the same for Google Framework Services. Then in ROM Manager I fixed permissions, rebooted to recovery. In recovery I formatted cache. I got the four unable to mount cache messages that others reported, but the Market works."
Did you accidently/purposely delete any of the Gtalk, Talk, or TalkProvider apks? If so then you'll need to go back to stock and re-root. If not, then start up the Google Talk app, login if not already, then logout, then login again.

I was uninstalling a few apps from my phone that I no longer needed (including the uninstallation of Google Talk and Google Voice Search using Titanium Backup) and then rebooted my phone. Upon reboot I found that all of the apps that had been installed on my phone memory were gone; included in these were essential Google apps like the Market, Gmail, Maps, and YouTube.
I had made a backup using Rom Manager a couple of weeks ago and had restored my phone; unfortunately, all of my apps were still missing on restore including the aforementioned Google apps. I found a Market apk that I used in order to reinstall all of my apps but the Market continually force closes, even after wiping the data and cache.
I have never encountered anything like this before and hope someone can help me with this issue. If it helps I have a Rooted Nexus One (unlocked) running a stock ROM Android 2.3.6.

The first and only person to respond to my thread and of course what you suggested worked perfectly; appreciate it, thanks.
Glad I could help
Hello there, XDA Members,
Ever since I've updated my market to play, whenever I'm trying to download anything free (like "temple run"), there's the error- "Error processing purchase".
When I try to buy app, it says:"-app name- couldn't be downloaded due to an error (403)".
I've tried to switch from ICSSGS RC4.2 to Docs Master ICS V6 rom, tries to wipe everything, dalvik cache, regular cache, market cache, market data, my gmail account from the phone, proxy settings in the APN settings, e-v-e-r-y damn thing!
Alas, it just refuses to work.
Thank you all for quick, helpful answers,
harrym17.
Just clear data for Play store and Google services framework then reboot and it will work.
Hi!
I've the same trouble and it's not depending on our devices or the ROMs,it's a issue of Google that will be solved on these days
You can try to download the apps until you can download it.
Hi!
This has a very simple solution. I was facing this issue sometime back. Go to the apps list in your phone and do a clear data on the google play store app. restart your phone and login to google play again. This will not effect your purcahsed apps history as this is linked to your gmail ID

Ok, then try the recovery mode, wipe cache and dalvik cache. Hopefully this should work.

Hi everyone,
Hopefully someone can help so I dont have to do a factory reset.
After upgrading to 4.1.2 through Samsung, Google maps won't run and the service constantly crashes, freezing the phone for up to a minute at a time.
Looking at aLogCat, I see
Activity Manager warnings abount com.google.android.apps.maps crashing too many times,
and a Fatal signal 11 (SIGSERV) for droid.apps.maps.
I can't uninstall Google Maps (no option to from the application manager), and I can't even find it in the play store.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!!
Try clearing it's data, also uninstall all updates and then update it.
Thanks, but no good...

Thanks for your reply
Not sure how to rollback... from app management i only have force-stop and disable, no uninstall or roll-back.
Tried clearing the data + cache already. no good.
Would like to keep the phone unrooted for security purposes.
Would hate to factory reset or change mod and re-install all my apps, contacts etc.
Any other ideas?
Thanks

without root its not possible to uninstall stock apps
1.root ur device and uninstall map app using Titanium Backup Application and reinstall Maps from the store
2. then flash stock kernel ( device will be unroot)
Over the past month I have been expiriencing issues with the google maps app. It has been saying that I have no internet whenever I try to search for anything. Very recently the google playstore also stopped working as well. I have tried several things including clearing cache and clearing hosts file except for localhost line. I also tried backing up google play services and removing it and installing it from an apk onlinw but it didnt install properly. When I tried to restore the backup (titanium backup) it didnt work properly and now all google apps are broken. Running android 4.2.2 rooted. Any help is greatly appreciated
