Battery Recommendations

My OEM battery for my Advantage is starting to show some age. I can't seem to find an OEM replacement on the web. I've had checkered experience with replacement batteries -- especially from ebay -- in the past. So, I'm wondering if anyone wants to make a recommendation for either a specific battery or specific web vendor.
I know there's another thread about batteries, but they seem to focus on ebay batteries or one which costs $82.00. That's a bit pricey for me.
Thanks!

so, if you'll excuse my ignorance, what's so special about the mugen battery? I've looked at them but was wondering why they're so expensive. 200ma more doesn't seem worth that kind of premium. However. I'd consider it if it were worth the extra cash.
thanks again.
Its more on the principle, you get wa you pay for! Mugen lasts longer and i believe they have a better warranty for them.Mugen specializes in extended batteries. If you just need a battery but dont have the cash ,then the 20$ battery good for now,no problems so far its been almost a month and charges hold well.
any one got links to those 2400 batteries?
i've checking ebay and googling online, but i can't find them
I am tempted to get one as a backup for when I travel...
http://cgi.ebay.com/Lithium-Battery...m?hash=item270213135346&_trksid=p3286.c0.m234
the one on the link is a standard 2200 not 2400
2200 is the one from factory

Anyone want to sell a N1?

Im looking for a nexus 1 for around $60 or so.. Anyone looking to sell for Galaxy Nexus?
Nobody is going to sell a N1 for 60 bucks unless its completely destroyed.

I'd sell mine but not for $60
Try $150 and maybe if your lucky you will find one at that price not too beat up.
60 bucks... lol
I'll let mine go for $160 if you're local, it's in great condition.
I've seen them for about an average $250 guys.
Yeah, the Original Droid is a little less powerful, plus it's not a pure google phone. The ROM's and the still not-outdated hardware is still a huge selling point for n1
What do you think a used and fully functional N1 might fetch on eBay including 1 extra OEM battery, 2 OEM desktop docks, and 1 perfect condition OEM car dock?

why are samsung accessories so expensive?

I went onto the samsung website (canadian version) and checked some of the prices for note2 accessories and I was blown away how expensive they are. You'd think samsung would realize if they priced their accessories at a reasonable more people would purchase them.
for example $39.99 for their Note2 TPU cover. $49 for their MHL adapter. Before ebay or online shopping I could see companies charging these outrages prices but with ebay and the like who would buy some of this stuff from samsung when you can get less expensive versions?
Stuff up here is definitely more expensive than the states.
I know its not much of a discount but shopandroid gets sales every now and then.

And if u dont mind waiting then amazon.com with amazon prime shipping is another alternative. Just be wary of international shipping and duties cost.

Impulse buying when the phone is originally bought. Wouldn't take much of a salesman to sell a 50 dollar case to protect a 600 investment. Or all the neat add ons "to get the most" out of your brand new phone.

This. I'm such a sucker for it.
My thought process: "Well, what's the difference between spending $200 or $300 on a phone when I'm paying thousands for the service? Might as well get the best one. And why did I buy a phone with removable battery and storage if I'm not going to buy a spare battery and spare battery charger, and a 64 gig microSD? Wow... I've got a lot invested in this thing. Better buy a case for every day use, and a tank of a case for when I go out. What's this... an app that I will use every day of my life for only $5? That's one drink out at the bars, I can swing that. An app for $0.99??? Might as well be free. Oh, and can't forget the car dock and charger, that's an essential."

You forgot to mention screen protector and also new pair of jeans with bigger pockets and pouches to protect the case thats on your phone...and if thats not enough might aswell get a crib for it by the bed side. And just to be sure and on the safe side avoid having kids for aslong as possible just incase that requires you to divert your attention from your note 2....

You are right to tell people to be wary of the price, Especially in the case Custom Duties i.e. vat to added [collected at this end by PO], plus the minimal £8 Post Office Charge.
Take Care

Samsung is expensive because they guarantee the products will fit and work 100% with the phone plus every manufacturer always charges more for their respective products. Example: htc charged around $40 for their mhl adapter and $50 or more for their tv dock. It's just a matter of finding items cheaper and hoping that if you buy generic it won't damage your phone and fits correctly. There are plenty of reputable companies that make accessories you can count on. Like otterbox, seidio, spigen, and many others.

Lol what you said about "what's the difference between spending $200 or $300 on a phone when I'm paying thousands for the service" is so true for me. I have to always buy the best phones out. Unless the phone was alooooooot cheaper, as in free, I would never choose a S2/N1 over S3/N2.
I hear you. Yet I can't seem to stop shopping for an "even better case". I think I will draw a line at Sweet armor bumper though. Just a frame, not even total back protection and 70 USD?

This is my problem.. I get bored, go on ebay and type in Galaxy Note 2 cases, and go, "Oh, this is only 7bucks. Might as well right?". My logic fails considering it adds up to be quite a bit lol.

So you think a $50 MHL cable is fine when it probably cost them 50 cents (maybe a dollar) to make in china. I'm all for a company making money/profit but that's kind of ridiculous.
For cases, I always hit up ebay. For the same price as a retail case, you could buy a dozen and try them all out!
For cables, chargers and batteries, however, I've been very hesitant to get them "cheap" because of the risk of damaging my device. After reading an article about various chargers and usb cables which showed that the third party/counterfeit brands have no consistency to them, I've stayed with trusted oem brands.

Wait until you see the "Australia" price, then you will know what truly outrage is.
Why are genuine apple accessories?
Why do dealerships sell spark plugs for 5 times the price of an auto store?
It's genuine oem, and they are all overpriced.

Hyperion 6000ma extended battery case

Been checking for new items daily. Just found this on Amazon. Worth it or not?
http://www.amazon.com/Extended-Battery-Hyperion-6000mAh-Capability/dp/B00ZAJMM02#
That is amazon. Call Hyperion they not even near to releasing battery
Man got my hopes up this is the only thing i miss from my g3, no way its $100 when its released, it was $39.99 for the g3
100$ is not even close to worth it. Like @bayniner said is reasonable.
If all else fails, 30$ will get you an external 20,000 battery from Limefuel, and these guys have relatively above average prices
+1

OEM Battery Replacement

Anyone know where to get an OEM battery? I bought one from Injured Gadgets and was sent a knock off that dies at 17%
I don't wanna throw money away on another knock off on eBay, has anyone else bought a real OEM replacement and where from?
Most places will not carry OEM batteries despite their claims for the same.
There are basically 3 grades in this field: cheap, high(er) quality, OEM/original.
The best you can hope for is the high quality ones but even those are not guaranteed to perform anywhere close to the original. The best bet is to take it to a service center to get the replacement. It costs more but the results are way better than other option which will cost more in the longer run.

got mine from parts4mobiles.com seems to be oem... cost about 10pound
had it three weeks now.... seems to be normal Samsung battery.... easy to change if you have hair dryer and couple other things.... check out you tube examples
Anyone know a reputable US seller? Lots of Ebay sellers say their batteries are OEM, but I'm not sure it's true.
