[Q] Two quick question

Hi,
I bought a Galaxy Tab second Hand from CEX. In general it's fine but I have an issue installing some apk's from the internal storage. Skies of Glory for example starts to install then fails with the legend 'Application not Installed' It works on my HTC desire. Same with a fair few other apps and games. I tried unmounting the SD but still no joy.
Also, the device is rooted and has a MoDaCo rom installed - does anyone know where I can get a stock European Rom so I can start over. or any suggestions as to a good custom Rom.

Overcome is popular. Am using version 1.2.1 with kernel v1. Everything is working great.
I find .apks don install when there is a conflict. Poossibly an older version of the prog or game is there. Or just this version of the app/game doesnt like the tab. I usually try to remove the conflict or just try a diff apk.

Problem with aDownloader on my Captivate. Please help!

Today I installed the aDownloader on my Captivate and it seems to be working fine, except when the phone goes into sleep mode, I can't get out of it. I have to take out the battery and reboot the phone that way, and I noticed when I do that, even though the phone was unresponsive it was still downloading data. Does anyone know how to stop it from freezing up?

like what rom and kernel you're using. oc/uv settings is my first thought ....
I personally am unfamiliar with that app but without more details I don't think anyone could give you an answer...

Im using the Phonix ROM. All I did today is root the phone, install clockwork, and then installed the Phoenix rom. Then I found the adownloader app, installed it, and once I started downloading files, the phone started freezing up

Well I think that if anything it would be a kernel issue but I believe the latest phoenix comes with speed mod which is known for it's stability.
I'd ditch the app or try a similar one to see if you get the same result.

[Q] Psx4droid?

Does anyone else have the PSX4Droid app? and does it work? I can't get it to load any games at all. D:

Use it all the time and it works perfectly on Stock and TNT Lite 4.3.2
Had no trobles yet.
Did you get the right bios?
What game you trying to run?
What file type is it?

I would like to try psx4droid on my gtablet with CyanogenMod 7 Which bios should I need?
Mainly I want to use it to play final fantasy vII or up. is it working smoothly? is that worth to try? Thanks.

I tried PSX4Droid v3.0.5
but I can only run v2.

running FFVII.
runs smooth until you get to the battles. FPS is like ~45.
turn of anti-alias and no problems at all.

GBA emulator Crashes

So I couldn't find a topic that pertains to this and I've searched the forums and google and Haven't been able to find anything. When I first got the phone and had the stock Froyo rom on it I could use any of the Game Emulators fine like Mojos gba lite and what not. But now since I've flashed any custom roms everytime I try to load up a game it just goes to a black screen and crashes to home screen without any error messages. Anyone got any Idea why its doing this? Any fix for it? And If there is a forum or post for this please point in the right direction cause I've looked and I've found nothing. Thanks
Oh And Currently Im running IceandFire-2.6-11.06.07-Milestone ( its the only rom I've tried that doesn't end up laggy for me and its really fast )

Another side note Like I said I haven't been able to run any emulators since I first flashed a custom rom. I've tryed CM7, Miui and Current IceAndFire

Any GB ROM eats RAM like a hungry Shark.
So try a Froyo based MOD and you will see what is Multitasking and Gaming

[Q] [HELP] virus issue running Helly_Bean 4.1.2

recently installed Hellybean ROM from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1775169
and that include Devil config too
Soon after that I experience serious issue,hacker remotely control my phone :crying:
fortunately nothing important he could find there yet but I need to get rid of it now.
Those are the symptoms.
Soon after I put phone to battery remote control takes in place.
Actually I can see hacker trying to login to my bank account-(which he will never find )
virus run when on battery only
Avast report no issues
AVG report no issues too
Also since phone is rooted only 3 aps that have access are:
devil kernel config
devil kernel manager
Spirit UL
PLease tell me how to get rid of the beast
PS: i would love to post this to HellyBean thread but don't have neough points yet

anyone with the same issue?

Have you tried using Titanium Backup to look for a system app culprit?
My bet is there'll be one you can freeze and remove, since you have root, it's you're slightly familiar with the apps in your room it should be relatively easy to spot...

I am not sure what I did but virus disappear for now.

and thx anyway. now i have another issue HellyBean ROM 4.1.2 was working fine and then suddenly gallery stopped work along with the camera. it reports "unfortunately, gallery has stopped working" error.
Now I would like to reflash my device in order to get back functionality.
If I reflash 4.1.2 with 4.2 HellyBean ROm will it keep all my apps and data untouched ?
