[Q] Do I have a defected device ?

hello ,
I know its a stupid Q , but I really dont know what the problem is
at first when I got my device with the stock rom, it was kinda slower than other devices (my friend had one too) but that wasnt a big problem for me even though I updated the software and still there was a bit of a lagg in the device even with no apps installed ..
and then me and my friend installed the floyo ROM version 2.2.5 which supports multi-touch .. my device is still slower than his and the multi-touch thin doesnt work too ..
so I dont know what the problem is seriously !! can any1 give any help ?

did u follow the rom installation step extactly??
I mean some rom u have to fullwipe b4 and after install
other rom fullwipe only after install,
and no need to fullwipe also..
try it fisrt..

You might have synaptics. That I'd just pinch to zoom not dual touch
R u sure u have proper cypress

yea I did , in fact I did root and install the ROM for both devices , it worked quite well on the other device but not mine !! and I did try to fullwipe didnt work either :/

synaptics and cypress are the 2 types of Digitizer that are used in our x8 synaptics has fake multi touch but the newer cypress has real multi touch
but there are modules for both.

okay .. guys after reading a little I think I understand better ..
from what I understood , are there multi hardware X8 devices ? I mean some that can do multi-touch and some that dont ?
if that was a yes , then how do I know which one I've got and whats the appropriate ROM to install ?

Well best solution is try GingerDx (custom rom) it gives automatic dual touch

no my friend , the phone was even slow when I first got my device !! and it was slow too before installing any apps :/

1.I already have 2.3.5 on my x8 so i need the 2.3.7 ROM but i can't find it.
Someone help i need it
2.I use xRecovery for changing the ROM. Is that good or i should install CWM Recovery?

What do you mean? Which ROM do you want? PrimeHD? GingerDX? PetrukDX?

Almost all GB ROMs is now 2.3.7 and they all indeed require CWM recovery. Take a look into dev forum!

Hi Guys, as im new to rooting, flashing & custom roms, im seeking your help ! yesterday i have seen this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1448803 and rooted my optimus black V20E ! Everything went fine and working good, now i require some features from you guys ! please please help me
1. i need to overclock my cpu which is the best app, (i have tried cpu set, but its showing 300mhz to 1000mhz only) (any other reason to increase max cpu frequency ?)
2. i heard Zeus 6.39 is till date best custom rom ! currently my version is V20E ! can i install this ? (pls show me any link how to install)
3. or else an other rom that i can get Android ICS/Jelly Bean ?

You can't overvlock on stock kernel.
But you can overclock in zeuz i think.

I used the 6.3n based. had no prob whatsoever and you wont regret it. just make sure u did backup in cwm, and the necessary wipe. update to latest 6.39n from huexx blog after u flash

the easiest way to do is
1. install ROM Manager from Play Store.
2. open the app
3. choose install rom from sd
4. make sure to check all the box that pop up (backup,wipe data,cache)
5. click ok and allow it to boot into recovery and automatically run the process

Install clockworkmod in ROM Manager first. I think it is the first option

I think u should first flash CWM recovery. In ROM Manager app, on the first line, hit the "Flash CWM recovery" then it will say current version of CWM that u have. Thats a message indicate that u have install the CWM recovery. with that, should be no prob to flash rom with this app from sd card. Not necessarily to have the premium version of rom manager. free version will do the job.

First try reading this [HOW TO]The Big N00B how-to! !!!
On this guide find "Install Custom ROM's" section ... All you need to know is in this guide !!!
