NFL App Won't Work - Motorola Droid Bionic

After going to the new ICS 246 on my Bionic I am unable to get the NFL app to work.:crying: It just keep taking me to the Play store to update each time I click open. Anyone know a fix? I tried deleting data cache but that didn't work. My phone is stock.

you need the Verizon SSO login apk . The Verizon branded services require it to run.http://db.tt/YcjQVW04
Here is a copy. You need to have unknown sources checked.

Why haven't I gotten the OTA update yet?

Just about every hour of the day, I have touched my finger on that "Check Now" button in the System Updates page. It keeps saying I am up to date, although my system software number still says it is 4.2.2. I am on stock android, non-rooted, and I live in the USA. I just don't get it.
Also I am EST, so right now it is 9:18 pm as I post this.
It always takes a day or two for the rollout to get to everyone. Just chill, you'll probably get it by tomorrow.

It's a rollout. Not everyone will receive the update today. Just keep checking over the next couple of days, you'll get it.

Dude, relax. You need to be patient man. If you're really anxious to try it out, you can just use one of the flashable zips provided by kind fellow xda'ers.

Will otaroot keeper keep root or will we have to reroot?
I dont think anyones gotten it OTA yet .. zips are up though
OTA rootkeeper will NOT keep root they changed the way security works in 4.3

Android 4.3 Notes:
Based on Android 4.3 release notes, on Enterprise and Security, Restrict Setuid from Android Apps, su binaries and Superuser apps designed for previous Android generation will simply not work on 4.3:
It means preserving root with OTA Root Keeper won't be possible anymore as new rooting techniques rely on more than just a setuid su binary in /system.
I'll look into solution of course to preserve the functionality if possible, but until then please follow Chainfire's job on SuperSU betas.

Saw some people stating that you'd keep root when updating to 4.3 using OTA Root Keeper. Too lazy to find which thread I saw that in though.

Stock Android Browser?

Anybody know how to get the old stock Android browser on here? Chrome really blows. I can't seem to find any method that's universal, and those steps that are out there seem to require root. Help!

Well I guess all you would need is the apk and side load it. I use dolphin chrome was great at first but little things bother me like the double tap zoom in sucks. And the last update made it run like ****. I like my bookmarks being synced but then again it really isn't that big of a deal.
Can someone get the apk up? Not having extended controls is horrible. Is there another browser that has edge swiping to control browser?

I still can't seem to get the stock browser to install. Tried placing the file in system/app and data/app... Installed once and I saw the browser at one point then every subsequent launch of the app was met with a "unfortunately..." Crash message. Ugh. I've been dying to get a competent browser on this phone. Guess I'll need to keep waiting.

Make sure you set the permissions correctly. Once installed, clear data/cache on it before you run it.
Would this work with Adobe flash installation

What do you mean "set the permissions correctly"? I'm not modifying the permissions with anything, and it sets its own permissions upon installation.
I installed again and cleared data, brought up the signing into google screen then it crashes. Can't seem to get it to stay opened.
Works beautifully!

Could I get a little instruction here?
I've downloaded the above Browser.apk. I've tried installing it from the downloads folder. Fails. Tried pasting it into /data/app, can't install. Pasting into /system/app, can't install. Tried root app installer. It installs and initially loads with the "signing into gmail" popup. Then crashes and crashes every subsequent launch immediately.
I'm dying to get this browser on the phone. Pleeeeeaaaase, can I have some installation instructions?

Yep, confirmed via root checker. And I did wait for a minute after boot for it to register root as jcase said that it doesn't Register su for a few seconds or something, in case you were going to ask about that.

Does anyone know what the Sprint Update File changes - anything we would notice? Or is it just limited to behind-the-scenes changes that you can't even tell what they are so no reason to bother (while holding out for root)?
