Having purchased my T-Mobile GNote2 on the first day it was available in-store (locally, last Wednesday) I didn't expect to find much in the way of cases. Of course the store didn't have any.
So I went to my local tacti-cool mil-surplus store to see what it might fit in.
Turns out our GNote2 is very similar in size to an M16 magazine; the phone is thinner and a bit narrower but close to the same height. This is convenient as there are many pouches made for this popular magazine.

This is the one I got,it was $10
From the top, with the phone in, it fits nicely, probably room for a TPU style case or a bigger battery.
The case came with the bungee cord so I used it to keep the phone in. I'm sure there are some cases that have full flaps.
Lots of ways to attach to your belt/things
The case I got uses the MOLLE system, which has straps sewn in and makes it attacheable to many systems.
M16 magazines are NOT delicate, so there is no lining to protect screens/finishes. And of course this looks military so may not fit in just anywhere. Color options for this kind of military gear tend to be black, tan, green and various camos. Chances are good that Academy will have some kind of pouch, as they sell the magazines, the M16 is quite popular.
For $10 I think this will work just fine for a robust beater pouch. Looking forward to a serious protective case for the phone, I'm sure it will still fit in this pouch, but might be a little hard to get out if it gets tight.
Just adds to the Bad Ass Ness of this device!lol Yes!

So I wanted a bit of a different look to my HTC casing. However I don't like silicone or other add-on cases, so I went a different route. On a lark I went to Canadian Tire since I remembered they used to have a fake carbon fibre vinyl available (don't ask how I know). However I found an even better one which looks a bit more realistic (and is slightly transparent so when you place it over coloured surfaces the underlying colour comes through).
Wrapped it around my HTC front and back (took the back cover off to do it). Once you lay it on you can use an exacto-knife to trim out the parts you don't want covered. Then used a heat gun to help wrap the edges without wrinkles (that just happened to be on sale too!).
The finished product:

Maybe not everyone's taste but unless you get REALLY close its fairly hard to tell its not an OEM finish (IMO).
I was in a auto parts store the other day and you know what I saw the exact product you used for this pretty cool in my opinion though I prefer the soft touch feal maybe if my phone gets banged up enough I might do this but looks good
I wish some company would release a leather battery cover, or a way to make it all leather. I think it would look very nice
Just a brief one, I'll let pictures tell the story with some comments particularly for I9023.

Unboxing - Pretty much straight forward stuff.
Side comparison - Front & Back
Overall look - With handset inside of course
Fit for I9023 - Beginning is a bit rough fit, very tight as the leather is hard, after a sometime it started to follow the shape of the phone. Please note that I9023 couldn't go all the way flushed in the pouch, it leaves about 2 to 3mm protruding out from the pouch, as you can see in the last picture, the speaker hole doesn't sit nicely in the square. I'm pretty sure it fits nicely with I9020.
Coming up next, Nillkin Case..stay tuned
I have it. It is very nice case.
Anywhere to buy this in U.S.? It seems like it's only avail in Europe. So I9020 will fit?
I only see it from Europe or Australia site. I myself got it from hunting on Ebay Spain (thanks to google translate). I just got it this morning. PM me for the link, not sure if it's allowed to post here.
As you can see from the pic, I believed it'll perfectly fit I9020 as the size is a tad smaller than I9023
its a bit to short for the device ?!
Been looking for something for the past few days since picking up my N7, been trying all the local markets and shops, and came across this today.
http://www.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=533812
Have to say its a very very nice fit! The N7 fits just perfectly, quite snug in fact!
Also added bonus, the case is a sort of mesh finish, so much sturdier than the usual neoprene cases you get. The lining could do with being a little softer, but other than that its perfect!
Can't find it on CPW, but I bought it in-store for £17.99
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Glad to hear it fits! I bought the Belkin Merge Sleeve, but my Nexus 7 hasn't arrived yet.
Yes, agree. Quite nice.
Have a look in TK Maxx (if you have one near you in the UK) lots of Belkin bits going cheap in mine. Got it for £5

I got this sleeve also. Works ok. I find it just a tiny bit too short, so it is quite a squeeze to get the fully closed. I read elswhere that is was a bit too big, so hoped it would make a good extra protection when a thin shell and cover (like the planned Poetic one or Incipio cases) is attached, but I cant see the N7 would fit inside this sleeve with another case attached despite how thin it is.
I have the same, I really like it, I have also a Tpu Case, the S one, on my N7 and it still works with this Sleeve, so I am happy with this combination.

This is a great case, I just received mine today. Much cheaper to order from amazon.com and ship to Canada ($5.21 + 9.99 shipping vs $30.21 + 4.99 shipping) than ordering from amazon.ca
The sleep/wake magnet feature works just like the iPad smartcover.
Case is not very bulky, feels firm, and the magnets really hold the cover down.
Compared with the rotating case http://www.amazon.com/CrazyOnDigita...d=1344472127&sr=1-4&keywords=rotating+nexus+7, it is about 1cm thinner, lighter, and the stand is much sturdier. It also feels lighter, and is slimmer all around by about 1cm. The design of the case is much like the ipad1 case, including the way it becomes a stand.
Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Rotating case underneath for comparison of size and thickness
Sorry for the lousy phone camera picture quality. Too lazy to grab the real camera.
i second this case for anyone looking. i purchased it when it cost me 15 bucks and i saw it was down to five dollars now. :good:
What is the URL
I see the link for the rotating case, but where is an amazon link to the one you are showing off?

Recently, I recieved a BUMPER CASE from ebay. I would like to share some experince to you!
The availability of aluminum bumpers for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is relatively slim, so this is one of few options. . My case arrive without printed instructions, however it is fairly intuitive to open and close, requiring a decent amount of force to unlatch the closure mechanism in the lower left hand corner.
Quality is better than expected for the price point. For those who may be bothered by such details, the finishing isn't entirely even; some portions of the bumper have more apparent machine tool marks (end milling) than others, and there is very slight (possibly .2mm) of misalignment at the aforementioned closure. Finally, and the reason I gave this bumper 4 stars instead of 5, is the fact that when laid on it's back, the phone will rest partially on the bumper, and partially on the camera surround. The case is not quite deep enough to completely protect the camera from a fall onto a flat surface, however such a perfect impact is highly improbable, and is a minor issue in my opinion.
I highly recommend this case for anyone who is looking to avoid reintroducing the plastic that Samsung removed from their Galaxy phone design language.
Here is the item#: 121649023539
That looks nice, could you post some pics with the case on?:laugh:
Ok, will do
Oh, Yes, I already bought from that store. It really fit my phone perfectly and offering a good protective. The most important that it does not cover
the signal. That's the one I have.
