Im going to follow these steps:

Does insufficient storage mean 'USB storage' not enough'? Any way to solve this without root?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Other alternatives would be to move your apps from Phone to SD card (external memory card), every downloaded apps you have (look for it in Settings>applications>all, see if you can move the apps from Phone to SD card

the updates you are getting are those system apps or userapps... any ways make some space on the device memory

But my device memory still has 202mb. The memory is 1g, I think this 'device memory' just part of 16g storage, is that correct?

if you are on stock rom.. u can uninstall some apps and free some system memory..
OP has a legitimate issue that has nothing to do with actual lack of space.
I had the problem before.
I cleared dalvik for the problem app under data/dalvik-cache.
That worked for me.

I've followed the instructions below for installing jelly bean and my phone will do everyhing but once I flash the jelly bean ROM (and I've tried 3 different ones) they all get stuck at the boot screen. The phone is unlocked, rooted, has ext4recovery, blackrose, sd partitioned . Current ROM is cm 10 and its sitting at the cm screen. It will go into fastboot. Everything was done according to the instructions. What is missing. Please help me. Been working on it for hours.
Thank you

Is your partition layout 268/168/0? Can't really read it on that small picture. If it is, then there's your problem. Or do you have an ext-partition for A2SD on your µSD-card for userdata?
Unfortunately, no it is an 8. Darn. I also do not have that other thing you asked installed on the card.
I just can't quite understand why it appears that everything is set up right but just gets stuck at that boot screen.
Please if you can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

So it's 268/160/8 ? Then there's still your problem. It should be 268/8/160 [system/cache/userdata].
Thank you soooo much!! I have a question. How do I change it ? I wonder how come it isn't right.. But, most importantly I am grateful for you helping me.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
You can change it by using blackrose.exe or by flashing one of these partition layouts in your recovery.
I believe they are not all on the front page, so search inside that topic too if you can't find your preferred partition layout.

Resize BlackRose (system : 260, cache: 8 , the rest will automatically be set to userdata).
And install 4EXT recovery on your phone and re-partition your SD card. That is what tommert38 has mentioned over there. You need atleast 1 GB of space in order to install apps onto your SD card.
recovery flashable zip of 260/8/168

No, you would not need that. a2sd comes with the JB Rom you are going to flash be it Evervolv or Vijendrahs

OK. I went back and saved hboot to sd card then followed instructions exactly. When I flashed the hboot it quickly flashed a screen and all I saw was installation aborted then it rebooted me back to the fastboot menu. Any suggestions???

Yesterday i use link2sd on my sis Xperia and it worked like a charm,But today when I used it on my Galaxy mini running stock gb 2.3.6 it didn't work. When i goto create link of any app it fails. I have an 8gb class 4 sd card and my sister has the same.I have an ext2 partition of about 1gb. Please Help.
1st just restart phone and try again, if not works then Re create mount script from menu. Try all ext1, ext2, 3, 4, fat32. Also i presume your stock rom is rooted.

Okay, sometimes/many times the app wont works if the rom dont have supported init.d file and other required files
install custom rom, then it will work fine.
