Placed a replacement order for my Nexus 7 today, when can I expect it?

I placed my replacement order for my 16GB Nexus 7 today because it had the left screen lifting issue. When do you guys think we can expect our replacement? Especially for the 16GB version as they've even stopped letting people order on the Play Store. I'm in the US if it makes any difference.

I just called up. 2-3 days after request was placed you'll get an email you need to respond to. Then the device will ship with 2 day shipping. I was unable to talk my way into overnight. Hope this helps.

Is the email you are referring to the one where they have a link that directs you to your cart that has a Nexus 7 in it because I received that email today. So does this mean I'll get mine by the end of the week? Sweet.

One of the reps told some random person here that exchanges will ship quickly and take priority over orders. Annoying if you ask me but take it with a grain of salt.

Staples!

I don't know why everyone is waiting for there 16gb n7. I got one last week at staples and another for my buddy this week. I still got my Google play credit and my free content and the free Google wallet money. Go to staples.

+1 for staples, got mine yesterday at one in Goleta, CA. They were out of the 16gb (which is fine because I wanted the 8 anyway), but it surprised me that they even had them at all when the best buy across the street from them was telling me it would be a few weeks before they got any in stock.

+1 Just checked for a 100 mi radias and found two locations selling the 8gb only.

Thanks, I kept checking for 16gigs and it kept saying none. Tried 8gig today and found them at every staples in town. Jus bought one for my sister!

Staples last week- 16 gb. North Jersey. When it says not sold in this store on the internet, keep checking. That just means they are out of stock. It will change to In stock when they get a delivery.

On Thursday, I got my 16 GB from Staples about 30 miles away, it was the last one there. Definitely the only Nexus in my area too, Haha I had been searching and it finally crossed my mind to call there
Edit: should note that they did not have the 8 GB at my Staples. They were also kind enough to hold it for 3 hours until I got off from work despite it being their only one

I just got my 8gb from Staples today, I called four different locations by me and they were all sold out of the 16gb versions.

Uh, the Staples down here in TX were all empty of 16s, and most didn't even carry 8s. The Walmarts are getting 16s in a lot of areas, though. They have tons up around Dallas (where I go to school), but are out around Austin (where I'm spending the summer). Another place to check (just don't buy them all before I get up there for mine!)

I agree, Staples all over are getting stock! If it says "Low Stock" online...hurry!

It depends on location... here in CT all staples sold out.

Yep my first one had a dead pixel. You have 14 days to get a replacement and it's really easy. Walk in, have your tablet and receipt/order number and get a new one.

Staples had neither the 16 or 8 in stock. The sales person was kind enough to tell me some guy just bought the last dozen!!! to sell online for a profit....??!
No estimate for next shipment, nothing....seriously? Called CS, no help, they asked if the sales person suggested I preorder one...I wasn't informed of the option.
I'm sorry but you shouldn't rub stuff like that in someone's face. Yes the lucky customer is entitled to do as he pleases but I feel strongly a product like this should have purchase quantity limits.
I may stop shopping at staples unless I have to go there in a 911... I sold my gift card.
Better believe I'm going to Google I/O 2013. Hopefully freebies will still exist (I would NEVER re sell mine,let alone the day of like some people did)...I'd be crazy not go go with my student discount. Just a matter of luck getting tickets I guess!

Office Depot

Office depot is now selling 32gb version in store. Can't do it online, but my local store gave me no hassle with it. Go ask for item 769156 in store! They can look it up that way over the phone to see if they have it in stock before you go over! Yay finally 32 gb brought me to nexus.

Thanks for the heads up, just got mine from Office Depot in Chicago. I called ahead with the item number, they told me there were 3 in stock, walked in and picked it up no problem. :good:

Well, it's in the system it must be released, I hope I don't end up aol over the web for selling this early" I chuckle and tell him I think it today, so don't worry! So he sells it to me no problem. I am a happy camper !

smh.. Congrats but I can't help but facepalm at the manager. The economy is terrible, jobs are scarce, unemployment high and he runs into a situation where he isn't sure if he's allowed to do something but just plows through and does it anyway. He's well aware they are new, and not released yet. He knows about Staples messing up, he knows how the internet works with spreading stuff like this and he chooses to just sell it anyway without checking first. I predict a job opening at Office Depot

Got mine this morning without a hassle in Eugene Oregon. Thank you Office Depot!! Have one on hold a staples but I'm going to cancel it.

What's the serial # on the 32gb? (c90 was the most recent N7's)

Do they have screen lift? I'm still getting exchanges from Google regarding this issue. The one they just sent me is so bad the bezel indents when held because the screen is so far raised. I'm fine not having the 32 GB version, but if this final RMA doesn't work out I, going to get a 32gb (hoping for no lift)

If it is anything like when I first signed up with my HTC One X, then it can take several days before you get the email through. If it hasn't happened after a week, send them an email. It'll get sorted eventually.

I got my 25GB dropbox space immediately by following the instructions.

I never got my storage, sim free device in the UK.

Got my 25gb or should I say 23gb of storage right away... on a sim free uk htc one.

Got mine i now have 81 GB of storage, had 56GB and the extra 25

I'm on a sim-free device, also in the UK.
I got my 23gb. Seems to be a bit patchy.

If it's like when I got my one X you need to follow a set of instructions to get your 25gb space, I remember I needed to complete 5 out of 7 tasks like using Dropbox features installing it on another computer...
Just check the getting started page or something like that

I didn't get mine, but I didn't expect it. I had it from a previous HTC phone (expires December this year), and you are only entitled to it once per account.

If you read up on the drop box site if you had free space from another htc sense phone like one x you will not get it this time.

It's trigger once you do a photo upload. You get an email. Mine was 2 days later.

yeah me too i got it two times and so i have 76,375gb. it was activated by first time loggin in into dropbox

Still none for me, sent a message to dropbox support but no response.
UK sim free.

16 Gb are out of stock.

So I had to order 32 Gb one. I was torn between this one and Moto G, given 2 times price difference. I hope I won't be disappointed.

im certainly not disappointed in the nexus 5, but everyone has their own preferences. i think the n5 will be a better 'future proof' phone when compared to the moto g

i ordered my N5 the day it went live.. oct 31 .. 2 hours after it went live and the 16 gig was sold out.. so i went with the 32 gig also... happy i did tho 16 gigs aint much..

I ordered a 16gb Nexus 5 on monday and they were completely in stock. Checked back the next day and the Play store says out of inventory, rather than giving a wait time or anything?! And because I was worried this would affect my order I've been rechecking the play store religiously and every once in a while the 16gb comes back in stock but then you refresh the page and it goes away again.

I bought the black 32gb for that exact reason. With that said, I kept running out of space on my 16gb Moto G so I ain't that mad even though I had to spend an extra $50

The Nexus 5 is a solid device imo and no complaints here, i have a case though to protect it if i should drop it and keep it as new.

Just got an update saying my device is shipped. I am looking forward using it (my first smart phone ). Google now shows that 16 Gb version are 3-4 weeks out.
