I am using the branded engineer firmware with mango atm, i don't think it will take long! because this firmware runs pretty smooth and without any problems!

THere is already a sticky about this .... so no point opening another thread.
Android is not coming to HD7, as no one is working on a port.
So either be happy with Mango installed or sell it and get an android phone or trade it with the older HD2 where you can install your android

No biggie sold it already. My G2x is way better anyways

wtf? Android on WindowsPhone7? OS into another OS xD .. Maybe the idea was more like Android on HTC HD7. but interesting idea... would it be possible to have 2 OS in one? Like when u turn the phone on, you can switch between them.

OTA is already out for people in other countries. its just australia that hasn't got it while optus put their **** on it

by new update can we get sense 4.0 and what means by ota sorry for simple questions because i dont know simple things

No, it's Sense 3.6. OTA means Over-The-Air which means you can update your phone without wiping. It's not the whole ROM, It's just a bunch of new files. I hope you get that despite my bad explanation

got it thanks that means htc will never release sence 4.0 for our device
i have a great doubt while new htc mobiles like one v desire c,v are having the same hardware specification why they are not releasing for us

If HTC keep upgrading us to the latest versions of sense/android, we will have no reason to upgrade to a newer phone
Also, they are not making any money on these upgrades, just keeping us happy who have bought the phone a year or so ago

The market is competitive, especially with Sony and Samsung putting out such quality hardware, they are beating HTC who used to be on top in terms of hardware

Nowhere to be found in Canada either.
Oh well. I have my HD Revolution, so Bell's lack of updating isn't an issue for me.

So which devices will get it? Here the list that I can share for now. Please remember, it’s not final one, some devices are still under evaluation and there is high possibility that they won’t get update. With Android 5.0 Lollipop update, some “old” devices will receive Sense with EYE experience (not all features will be available on old devices)
HTC One (M8), HTC One (M7) are the first to get Android 5.0, timeframe for GPE is late November-December, for Sense based devices January-February.
HTC Desire EYE, HTC One (M8) Dual SIM, HTC One (M7) Dual SIM, HTC One (E8), HTC One (E8) Dual SIM, HTC Butterfly 2 should receive updates in January-March.
HTC One Mini 2, Desire 816 more likely to get updates in March-April
HTC One Max, HTC One Mini, HTC Butterfly S – March-May
Other devices from Desire line especially that are based on MTK processors are still under evaluation and I can’t say anything specific about them, as they are produced on ODM bases, so software development is mainly lay on ODMs…

Any info on ART vs Dalvik out there? I've read plenty and understand the difference, but haven't seen any actual comparison tests.

I'm gonna guess by end of year...wishful thinking
assuming L is officially released today, the 90 day clock begins, but I have a feeling HTC has already begun working on

Seems like converting the wp M8 to Android is done and prolly for Android to WP.. If this comes true and you can flash wp would you do it?

I never had a windows phone. But my friend's M8 with windows looks great.

No way. Android rules. Especially ViperROM.
I have a friend who wants to dual boot, but I think it's pretty useless. Either use one or the other.. he's just wasting space.

I don't think there be a way to dual boot due to bootloader stuff. But you can convert either one.

I am the same way.. Always looking at new and what can we do with our phones... But sadly it looks like it was a false alarm.

Most def will try it out! If convertable back and forth id love to try... Been waiting a while for this
