Debloated Webtop ROM i could flash on 246 - Motorola Droid Bionic

Im looking for a debloated ROM that supports .246 . I think Motoblur roms are the way to go.
Anyone have any recommendations. Thanks.

update, incase anyone was wondering i used "safestrap" & IcarusHD by T3T3droid and jp1044** and my lapdock works great.
unlike gingerbread roms, and previous .232 roms... somehow the new safestrap 2.1 and 3.0 allow webtop os to run. sweet!

[Q] newbie questions about custom roms (bionic)

For droid bionic: custom rom such as Eclipse and Liberty, are they based on the stock moto rom or based on CM7?
wow this is a premature and unneccary thread go to adroid development stickied rom/scripts/hacks etc.. it has a line up if they are 902 based 901 896 etc... click on the link it will probably bring you to rootz wiki and the rom will tell you if it is stock etc.. kinex is stock based eclipse has customized but has parts of blur still in it but is mainly aosp.
search button is your friend
Sorry, if you feel this as unnecessary thread. I did mention the question as newbie question. I did look/search & couldn't find the answer I was looking for. The reason I asked is that whichever custom rom I look, it REQUIRES some specific version from moto original rom such as 902, 901, 893 version to be compatible with that particular rom. That's why I though those custom rom are based on moto rom. I just want to understand why can't we just flash to custom rom like CM7 on bionic. If you can give me a clear answer it will be great.
Thanks in advance.

The reason that you can't flash CM7 over top of stock is this:
Think of CM7 as an "update", since we are on a locked bootloader.
Now, we can't change the kernel, which is the core of the Android OS.
So, with CM7 we can't have everything that CM7 has to offer.
So devs port the CM7 code so it will work with our kernel.
This means that whatever kernel version the dev uses to write CM7 must be installed before you flash CM7. Otherwise you have a ROM with a kernel that is not compatible with it (and that is not good). It would be the same as flashing a ROM meant for an HTC phone to a Motorola phone like ours. It just wouldn't work.
Thanks, Priddyma, for explaining .....
So, basically, custom roms for bionic such as Eclipse & Liberty are built based on particular moto locked kernel, right? Is it also the case with new bionic roms with ICS features, are they built around the .902 kernel with ICS features?
Another question, when we do OTA official updates, for instant update from .893 to .902, the official updates (from Motorola) are capable of flashing to different kernel? In other words, is it possible to flash kernel (If you are Motorola dev & have the unlock code)?
What I want to know is that in the future, if Motorola is nice enough & could release the unlock code so that we can flash bootloader/kernel to whatever we want.
It's already been stated by verizon that it's them locking the bootloader, and not moto.

ICS LapDock behavior

**edit** Actually I'm reading no hdmi drivers within ICS? Can't seem to find a chipset model... Anyone?
I've run the ICS roms before in the past and reverted back to a GB based rom for my webuntu hacks. However what I'm unsure about is what happens when you dock an ICS based rom? I plan on running my own chrooted ubuntu image with a full screen vnc session to lxde. I just dont know, how or what behavior to expect when docking the phone. Any guesses or insight?
Thanks

There is no official ics rom, therefore no hdmi, no webtop on those ics roms
If i wanted something official I'd have gone to verizon.com...... if there aren't any drivers, is it possible to use the lapdock as a mirror without launching webtop? I could then vnc into my ubuntu image and get rid of webtop completely.
As of ICS, webtop is no longer ubuntu; instead it launches a tablet version of android.
AND IT ROCKS!

[Q] ICS for Droid 3 Recommendations

I've been running Liberty 2.0 on my D3 for quite a while now. Starting to get jealous of everyone who's one or even two builds up on me.
I looked into what ROMs were available for the D3 for ICS, specifically because some of the custom apps I use are not compatible with JB yet. I found HashCode's CM9 build and his AOKP build (which could be the same thing, and I just don't understand.
I also posted once before where someone recommended Gummy for the Droid 3, but I could never nail down which version was the most up-to-date and was working the best. I learned that they stopped working on the Gummy ROM over the summer, but if they had a working build, I would love to try it out.
All I am looking for is the most complete build of ICS on the Droid 3. I use this phone as my primary device, so I would like to be able to use the camera, internet, data, etc.
If anyone has any other suggestions, please feel free to recommend what you use/have used.

There is no 100% working ICS rom as of now, but with Kexec they have a custom kernel booting and building from there. I would settle into a GB rom for stability/everyday use and have either an ICS or JB rom just to test. You can check the development forum for the current active CM9/CM10/AOKP by Hashcode, the latest CM10 (Jelly Bean) Kexec rom only seems to have a sleep issue and no camera, everything else seems fine so far. Safe Strap 3.05 lets you have up to 5 bootable systems without swapping nandroid backups; Stock + 4 custom rom slots.
http://blog.hash-of-codes.com/how-to-safestrap/ Here is Hash's website about safestrap and to download.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1804665 Here is the thread about Hash's current work on Kexec and available roms. Read up some of the last ~20 pages for current rom and information on it, just make sure to learn the new safestrap before playing around.
As for other roms; The Gummy team split up as I recall, no more Gummy roms...
Personal main usage; I use Maverick ROM 4.0, good battery, good tweaks, looks nice.. version 4.5 has overclock, but a bug in it causes battery drain so stick with 4.0.

Anyone find any ROMs that work with rooted Bionic on official ICS OTA update?

I was just wondering if anyone has found if any ROMs work with the OTA ICS update for the Bionic. I was running Eclipse 3.0 when my phone was on Gingerbread and I LOVED it, so I'm hoping that works out. But regardless of what ROM, I was wondering if anyone had found any ROM's at all that worked for an OTA ICS updated Bionic, perhaps something that was built for the Razr or something like that. So, any thoughts?
I use IcarusHD and AOKP no problems. Any ROM you used on leaks should still work, provided you're using the same recovery.

Any of the roms on this forum or others will work as long as you root your phone. Motofail or razor's edge will let you root.

Looking for Hashcode CM9 NON KEXEC Rom

Looking for the latest version of Hash's CM9 NON KEXEC rom. I had been running this for a year with no trouble. Decided I wanted to play around again and updated to the new safestrap and loaded JB kexec and it's just not stable enough, sleep issues won't work for DD, and gingerbread sucks. Now I can't find my .zip file and don't see it posted anywhere. The non kexec ICS builds were solid, and the camera worked decent. I want to go back. Does anyone have it?
maybe this is useful for you?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1465297
Nope. That is for the xt860. I know someone has hashcodes non kexec ics roms, if they could just send me a dropbox link or something it would be awesome. Right now I'm using steel droid ics but it seems to have more issues than the hashcode cm9 ics rom I ran for a year.

Actually that would work you would just have to use the 862 data files from Steel Droid probably.
Let's see if this can be helpful.
I was looking for a good ICS, with camera working, so let's give it a try.
I really need the camera, so that's why I didn't even tried the JB.
Thanks for the link, sm4rty!
you're in luck!
had to hook up the old dev box but found this file, enjoy!

Found this while I was cleaning up my SD card. Not sure if it's KEXEC or not. It wasn't labeled. I have a feeling it isn't.

EDIT: Installed it to make sure. It is non-KEXEC.
