Ive been wondering, since our N1 is the BEST phone out right now, on any platform i might add lol.. What is the only rom and theme that contributes only to the nexus one?? right now i have KoR 1.0 cm6 b2 sp1.. i was told that this rom is only for the nexus one.. but.. based on the cyanogen model.. cyanogen can be a rom for almost if not ALL android phones.
Set aside our n1 from all the others, what rom and theme can only be used for the nexus one? i want something that no other android phone can or will have as well lol.. so i can laugh and say, "oh, this is only for the nexus one" with a nice, smart ass, grin on my face hehe..
.. thanks guys
... hmmm so i guess there isnt one..?
Well, they are just png's in the end so any hdpi theme can be tweaked to run on any hdpi device. Make one for yourself if you want to set it apart from the rest.
im aware of that.. but as of right now, is there a dev that only creates roms and themes only for the nexus?
Well, if you want a ROM with the best features... you'd probably find an equivalent for may other devices... that's what makes these ROMs the best... they are a community effort!!!
Hi guys..today I saw very exciting video looks like below.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jr1A8h7OVA
Some people say that it is ios, but others think it is a another theme.
They say it is miui rom (refer http://www.miui.com)
miui rom is chinease rom until now(they don't have any plan to other language),
so I don't understand it.
However, when I see the video, it is very fast and has good function like ios
whether it is ios or not.
So, I want to know is it possible to install ios to htc vogue?
If it is possible, I really hope to see it. But, although it is not possible, is it
possible to execute same function ( moving and deleting icon like ios : shaking ^^)?
If someone know this, please let me know it.
Thanks and sorry for my poor english.
Nope!
Android can only be ported to the vogue, because it is opensource and Ios is a lot of things but NOT opensource. We would have seen a port of WebOS even sooner, because it is also linux based than Ios, but WebOS also isn't opensource so....
Maybe??
Okay I doubt any of us Dev's would even think about porting Ios to the Vogue and no one that I know of has every gotten IOs to run on any device but an apple device. It is definetly MIUI.
I will take a look at possibly porting MIUI or a simplified version of it to the Vogue/Kaiser/Polaris.
you wont see a miui rom for vogue either, since its all compiled for arm v7 processors which isnt what we have (hero is in the same boat)
I am creating an MIUI theme from modded launchers and a miui icon pack and a bunch of resized apks from the hero forum
Thank you so much and I am look forward to see it

Wow!! That' s great.. I hope to see it. Cheers!!
It is a chinese version android system based on original Android 2.2
It seems that it doesn't support Vogue now.
The MIUI .apks decompile nicely with apkmanager, then they need to be edited for the vogue/kaiser/polaris screen and recompiled for arm v4 (is it v4 or v5?)

sorry may be a lame question but what's the difference between aosp and aokp?
i am running ics aokp with out knowing what it is lool.
Sent from my GT-P7300 using xda premium
AOKP has some added mods.
AOSP is Android Open Source Project. Its vanilla Android rom, like Google made it. Of course we have made some modification to make it work on our device, but the idea is to keep it as vanilla as possible.
AOKP is Android Open Kang Project. Its alternative to CM, it has some modifications and added features that vanilla Android doesn't have.
So the question is what do you want? Do you want pure Android like Google sees it or do you want added features. I personally prefer vanilla Android.
Ok thanks very much for the detailed answer but i think i like the aokp as i love add-ons and extra finesse
Battery Life...
All things being equal any idea of which might have better life - aokp or aosp? I'm wondering if the extra goodies in aokp consumer more power. I tried both (now on aosp) and either one is fabulous. Aosp seems a tad smoother when comparing at 1.4 GHz (interactive governer).
Are there any IOS roms for SGS? I mean like roms that are actually
themed and modded or ported from an IOS rom? I know that Apple
is private so there is no Source Code and etc. But on my other android
phone, there is a IOS rom ported from these group of chinese people.
Thanks!
Are you mad? IOS and Android = Calculator and PC.

U don't SAY~~!
Sounds like you're looking for miui which is the rom that most *looks* like ios.
Well MIUI with the Ultimate iPhone theme would give you a decent look, but you might wanna check out: http://www.joyos.cn/
This is pretty much every aspect of iOS on android (but is early days in development). It's not on all devices, but maybe someone on your Forums can port it for you from one of the ones available.
Video here of version 1.1.4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c25dIdvblDY
I think they're on 1.1.9 now though.

Welcome you to force Zhuo ( China ) there are many

Hey there,
This has probably been answered before. so a simple redirect would be ok.
I love the stock look of the N7000 (menu buttons and locker) but all of the 4,3 roms have the Nexus menu buttons and app locker suck. I find those horrible to use.
First question... what would it be called (kinda nooby when it comes to launchers and such).... Are they called AOSP or AOKP or something.. or is it completely different.
Are there any roms which look like the stock rom.. but with enhanced features with the new 4.3 features?
Thanks in advance.
Ricky
aosp, aokp, cm, miui are just rom types.
By saying menu buttons you mean the whole look of an interface. You mean You want this stock 4.1.2 samsung blue stuff?
Because if this is what You want you may want to download samsung theme for cm from the google play.

That makes sense,
Just hate the look of the nexus/whole tablet interface of the rom new roms..
Just stuck with the updated version of LiveNote 5.2.
What are you rocking?

I'm using PA myself and it allows for nice customization when it comes to looks. Have you tried that? There are also a few fun launchers that might solve your cosmetic issue. Is it mostly the new DPI settings you're having trouble with? Or just the general art style of Android?

I haven't tried PA yet. Next on the list.
I am looking for a stock icons/colour scheme, the apps logo not to look like the nexus variation of droid. Just me being an oldschool stock visuals.

I'm currently running Lungo ROM (android 4.0.4) because it's light.
If You are searching for more functions use PA, or the best "Jellybam".
That's the best ROM ever, but it uses a LOOOOT of memory.
