[Q] PDroid possible on p880? - LG Optimus 4X HD

Hi,
Is it possible to use Pdroid (extended, 2.0, whatever) on the p880?
Which Firmware do I need to point autopatch to? Or isn't this possible?
Thx
(actually I am using LBE, but Pdroid offers better/more features).

Hi, I am also interested in this solution? Is it possible for stock? I know that ROMs based on CM has this functionality, but for poweramp is not working on them and I simply dont want to resign from it.

It isn't possible to use autopatcher on Stock ROMs. You could probably patch it manually yourself, but it's a hell of a lot of work.

I cannot use autopatcher on stock because of the image format? Or structure of the ROM? What about on some deodexed ROM? or maybe Zaiben? Autopacher possible?

No, no, no. Autopatcher can't patch the framework on Stock ROMs. Read the ApG thread of you need more information.

use arararagi's rom. it has openpdroid included. to configure get from play store the openpdroid app

Just what it says, flash this from custom recovery, and it will deodex your phone, and the font files are included for any theme designers.

If you already have a rom, it's probably deodexed...it enables themes to be used on the phone.

[Q] Adding Touchwiz Framework to AOSP Roms Inquiry

Hi Guys,
I just want to check if is there a way to flash touchwiz framework to an AOSP ROM for some samsung applications to work? In my SGS2 before, there is a Touchwiz.zip that can be flashed to MIUI ROM to have Touchwiz added to the actual ROM.
Thank you
I would really like to know that too.. Im really interested to try aosp rom (becouse tablet UI), but I personally doen't like aosp calendar and clock apps..
Open the ROM.zip
go to /system/apps/
insert the TouchWiz.apk in apps folder *MIND IT dont give spaces btween app names as Touch Wiz.apk it will give FC Error alwayz*
no need to remove any other launcher included over there
JUST flash this rom and BINGO.....................
Ive no idea of whether we need to fix permissions on new inserted .apk files
Take that risk PLEASE and LEMME noe if u get any errors
Is there any updates with this?

Any idea if S-Apps will work when I put the TW framework on an AOSP ROM or are they dependent on something else?

Hi
1°) Could I use the same files on a GN7100 (GN2) ?
2°) would I be able to use this framework to make the TW keyboard work on ProBAM ROM?
Thanks

To make it work, you need all tw framework and its not only in those tw-framework-res but in almost all bits. And so it makes it extremely difficult to port and easy task would be to flash a tw based rom. Much easier

Hi
Thanks for the answer. What I understand is it is not impossible, just maybe not trivial.
Then I take the challenge, I'm downloading the stock rom right now to extract the same three files from it, and put them into the ProBAM ROM... we'll see

[Q] Stock LG alarm on any ROM ?

Since this is by far my favorite alarm app, I was wondering if I could use it on any ROM. I guess if it depends of stock frameworks, it's dead, right ? or any way to do it ?

You need stock framework for any of LG's apps to work. You can mod your framework to make it work if you really wan't it.

the fact is, I'm not a dev and don't even know anything related to the linux world. too bad. could I simply unzip a framework then add libraries or something or do I have to compile and sign ?

Depends on what resources the app needs, but you'll definitely need to resign it.

meh, it's not in my cords. I'll have to use a stock based ROM then

Keep Xposed Framework and custom kernel installed after CM Nightly OTA Update?

I have various things installed such as Xposed and a custom kernel (decipher) and i do have to reinstall them everytime i'm running a cm nightly update..
Is there any way so i don't have to flash them again after a update?
use Cyandelta, you have the option to automatically flash other zips afterwards

I've since tidied the script up quite a bit. The one in the OP does both more and less than necessary -- it's pretty much useless tbh. Here's the script I'm using now: https://github.com/unaszplodrmann/81-xposed_framework.sh/blob/master/81-xposed_framework.sh

I had a similar script, but never worked
Will try this one
It works on CM or any derivative that honours scripts in the addon.d folder.

That is not something I know. I only have tried it on CyanogenMod Official builds.
I can only assume it might, I just don't personally run anything but the Official builds or my own Unofficial builds (that are not posted or really any different than CMs right now).
so if i flash snapshot on CM13 , it will give me theme chooser

If you flash the snapshot on a CM13 NIGHTLY it will have issues. This is the whole reason for 2 versions.
One for SNAPSHOT CM13 builds and one for NIGHTLY builds.

@ZX64 Would you be willing to make a zip for the snapshot builds that has just the cool blurred lockscreen, Maxx, Gallery Next, and Theme chooser? And it'll work with Sultan's CAF builds, correct?

Okay so..
A: I do not know what to pull to get the COS lockscreen with blur. That is why it is not listed as an included feature.
B: I will not flash Sultans build even for testing bugs. I ONLY support Cyanogen/CyanogenMod official ROMs or my own personal builds I don't upload or release anymore.
So any other ROMs.. They're hit or miss and I will not change my packages for them.
If you feel a need to change them.. You can easily do so with basic understanding of English and RAR (Play Store).
Sorry but I've learned the hard way about compensating for Custom ROMs. It gets too crazy too fast.
These are as universal as it'll get.
Which version should I use for Sultan's ROM?
I want just cortana and themes
Need I any others libs put somewhere into system? Because cortana and even themes don't work.
Is cortana worth anyway?
I know you don't support custom roms but let's say I have official cm build and want only cortana what should I do?

Another way to find the files you need to remove is to look in the addon.d folder. The script lists every file installed, and backed up for ota update compatibility.
If I remember right.. All the maxxaudio files are in a group so you'd only have a list of what to remove
